I think Francis Van-Lare Is exposing deeper issues in relationships with his indecent proposal offer to spouses. With the number of married women indicating interest to go to Venice even when it's made public, one wonders what could be happening in his inbox right now for those who won't post for the public to see, begging to be picked. Only one qualifies but see hundreds of married women falling over themselves to make the list, what does it tell us?? Him sef suppose increase the number and frequency so that it can go round to those in dire need and with their husbands consent. There is a vacuum in marital lives that needs to be filled. The neglect, disrespect and loss of focus on family values is on the increase and we are blinded to it. A lot of "hide my identity" stories we read everyday. Everything that tears the very fabric of "family" is now being applauded and celebrated with impunity. With the many responses, Francis having had his own fair share of experience in marital matters is pointing out a major problem. Is your spouse satisfied with you? Is your spouse happy with you? Does he or she appreciate the much you can offer in your union? Is he or she lonely, bored and needs a break, Too many questions to ask. With a contented family unit, You can make your home your own "Venice", with the pampering, breakfast in bed promised etc (with plenty of the salient matter that was not mentioned) and no matter how juicy Mr Francis' offer is, your spouse will look the other way. Some husbands will even ask their wives to consider this. It means if you make the list, your husband gave consent, Kai!! Let spouses look inward, build a united front. I see him passing a message, this offer ridicules both spouses to me. So a wife will go to her husband, discuss and get approval, to do what exactly in Venice with another man? It's really those who are greedy and can't afford this that are commenting. The more reason we all should "hustle" like they say in local parlance, "person no fit take wetin you get make shakara for you" it mustn't be Venice. Do your level of Venice and make each other happy and joyfully drink the cheapest wine and click glasses over such offers. Blame the rot on what we now see as values and deteriorated family system/structure. Guy man is having fun. Shalom✌ |

Maybach $ TFC @franktochy I met a man that has been into manufacturing for 16years. 16years he has faced this tough economy without any form of govt help. 16 yrs he fights against yeye policies, apapa wahala and co, 16 yrs he has paid salaries and given people livelihood. Those are our real heroes But his story is touching. I was so emotional when I made that tweet. Looking at his staff and seeing all the people depending on him, humbled me. The battles he fights ,a man with no govt aid or connection. We need to celebrate men like him. |
You mind sharing your experience. rationalmind: |

geedee4real:schools in Ijegun are okay but can't pay more than 35k |
simple250:In Lagos? I think this can be done in an area that is not densely populated. The house you are asking questions about, you are likely going to have 6-9 people hustling to rent it. |
jeffizy:The last part of your statement is a tradition in Isoko people , Delta state. |

emmanuelewumi:No sir, they own THAT building and are NOT TENANTS, they actually do it(Profit Sharing) NOT the bolded e.g KPMG Partners are not entitled to salary but profit sharing. A partner in KPMG goes with profit of 100m+ plus unit performance incentive and MUST stay on the Island. October 1 every year wardrobe allownace is give in the tune of 20m+. Vacation, travel allowance, and many more |
KPMG is different because they own that building on Abayode Cole and they are typical Nigerian Business men emmanuelewumi: |
emmanuelewumi:NOT KPMG, they own that building. It is not rented or owned by UPDC REIT. |
Dr. Tayo Oyedeji @tayooye This week: Plant some seeds. Fools live for today. They eat all they make and make just enough to eat. Wise people live for tomorrow. They plant some seeds to guarantee tomorrow’s harvest. Be wise, plant some seeds. #ThisWeek Some important seeds: 1. Prayer/meditation. 2. Saving/Investing. 3. Reading/education. 4. Spending time with your kids/family instead of friends. 5. Helping your kids with their school work. 6. Giving to those in need. 7. Eating healthy/exercising. This week, plant some seeds. Every week, I focus on something small but impactful and share it here in hope that it will help or inspire someone. Follow me to receive these weekly nuggets. Have a great week ahead. |

7 ways to make 2020 better than 2019. - A THREAD Dr. Tayo Oyedeji @tayooye When was the last time you heard of a black university dropout CEO? White people have one key advantage. Everyone assumes they are smart until they prove otherwise. It’s the exact opposite for black folks. You’re black & stupid until you prove otherwise. 1b . Learn Unfortunately, your MBA/PhD/ACCA/PMP etc is the only reason some people will give you a chance. Dear young, black professional, get that degree and the next one, and the one after. It will earn you some benefit of doubt and open doors that are shut against you. 2a. Save. I know someone who spent $24,054 on his mom’s cataract/glaucoma surgery last year. He could only afford to do that because he saved 40 – 60% of his salary throughout his career. Will your mom go blind if she were in that situation? 2b. Save. What will you do if you get a great opportunity but don’t have the funds to do the deal? Vacations will come and go. Styles and trends will change and fade. Only idiots spend all their income on ephemeral things. Make a conscious decision to save in 2020. 3a .Love. Find something you love and do it. What do you love to do outside of work? Who do you love to spend time with? Make a conscious effort to do something you love and to spend time with people you love in 2020. 3a. Love. I love this song, it reminds me of the sometimes unplanned nature of love. Title: Who you love. Artist: John Mayer & Katy Perry Link: John Mayer - Who You Love ft. Katy Perry (Official Music Video) John Mayer's official music video for 'Who You Love'. Click to listen to John Mayer on Spotify: http://smarturl.it/JMayerSpotify?IQid=JMayerWUL As featured o... youtube.com 4.Contribute. Give back to your community. The entire value of someone’s earnest prayer is $10. You can meet that need while hustling for your $100k. Don’t wait for all your dreams to come true before you make yourself the source of someone’s joy. Help people in 2020. 5. Work. Hard work never killed anybody. Last month we kicked off a soft launch of Overwood (http://overwood.ng), a FinTech investment platform I lead, and I had to work 14 hours every day in December. Hard, intense, strategic work is the only way to move forward. 6. Invest. Open at least two investment accounts to diversify your investments. You obviously don’t want to place all your investments in any single basket. Read this thread to understand why this is necessary. 7.Play. The only certainties in life are tax and death. It is 100% certain that we are all going to die someday. Let’s work hard, save, and invest. But please, let’s also enjoy our time here. Happy New Year! |

Dr. Tayo Oyedeji @tayooye Let's talk about investments (part 1) - Three investment "instruments" to avoid: 1. Forex Trading. 2. Sport betting. 3. Crypto-currencies. .1. FOREX 1. Let's say I have a model for gaining 5% or more return per month. And this model is a zero sum game (like Forex trading). Why in the world would I teach anyone else my model? That's the question you need to ask before signing up for a Forex trading class. 1.2 FOREX Why is this person selling a book/teaching course if they can make 60% return per annum? It's because they don't make 60% a year. Nobody does. Someone said 90% of Forex traders make a loss 90% of the time. Don't be deceived. Most traders lose money in the long run. 1.3 FOREX Here's a deep dive into why Forex trading as a path to financial security is a mirage. 2.1 CRYPTO Money is: 1. A means of exchange. 2. A store of value. Crypto currencies fail both tests. 1. I can't exchange it for most things. 2. It changes value arbitrarily. Maybe it will become valuable in the future; maybe it won't. It's NOT an investment. It's speculation. 2.2 CRYPTO I could write a thesis on the flaws of cryptocurrency "investing" but it won't be as good as this absolute takedown of the madness by Mr. Money Moustache. Read it. Why Bitcoin is Stupid Well, shit. I’ve been watching this situation for a few years, and assuming it would just blow over so we wouldn’t have to talk about it here in this place where we are supposed to be b… mrmoneymustache.com 3.1 Sport betting. The ONLY people who get rich from gambling are casino owners. The ONLY people who get rich from sport betting are platform owners. 3.2 Sport betting If you live in Africa or the Caribbeans, walk around your neighborhood. It's filled with sport betting addicts in tattered cloths and betting platform owners in BMWs. Sport betting steals money from the most vulnerable to top up the pockets of millionaires. Sport betting. Please. Don't even bet for fun. It's a cancer that is destroying communities and neighborhoods. Bottom line. Avoid: 1. Forex Trading. 2. Sport betting. 3. Crypto-currencies. They are not good models for investing for your future. |
