Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, on Monday did what many thought he could not do. Hours after being inaugurated for a fresh term of four terms, he sacked Mukaila Lamidi, known as Auxilliary, who headed the disciplinary committee of the Park Management System, PMS, in the state. Before going for his inauguration, Makinde did not have in mind he was going to do away with Auxilliary. Barely had the governor returned to his Ikolaba private residence, trouble started with Auxilliary and his PMS boys allegedly beating members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, who had also followed the governor from the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, venue of the inauguration to his house, a source who is in the known of development hinted OYOINSIGHT.COM. Though a statement by Segun Ogunwuyi, who has just been reappointed Chief of Staff to the governor, didn’t say Auxilliary’s offense, this newspaper learnt that Makinde had been managing his excesses for long. “I can tell you for a fact that the governor hasn’t been happy with the conduct of Auxilliary. He was tolerating him, thinking that with time, and considering his age, that he would change. People come to complain everyday. “It didn’t start today. I can tell you that it was a hard decision the governor had to make. He did not plan to sack him and his PMS guys. He cannot tolerate it again. It was in the best interest of the state. ”Before and in the build-up to the election, the governor, believing that to bring peace in the state, there was a need to bring all warring factions in the transport unions together, detailed his ally, Otunba Seye Famojuro, to reconcile them. Auxilliary became angry with the move. Not bothered, Otunba Seye called him and told him why they needed to work together in the interest of the state but adamant Auxilliary won’t agree. They were managing it until this morning when he and his boys started beating everyone believed to be members of the NURTW. The governor had to direct the new chief of staff to go and issue statement sacking them. Governor did that in the interest of the state and peace. He won’t tolerate such nonsense any longer. If he proves stubborn, he knows where he is going,” a top member of the governor’s inner caucus told OYOINSIGHT.COM, craving anonymity. Asked if the governor can reconsider his decision on Auxilliary, the source added that “the chances are slim. If at all, it will now be a rainbow arrangement. All stakeholders will be involved and no longer a one-man show.” This newspaper recalls that despite protest from well-meaning indigenes of the state, Makinde had, after banning the activities of the NURTW in the state in 2019, appointed Auxiliary to head the PMS. Auxilliary, on several occasions, had had clashes with members of the NURTW, a union he once led, with casualties recorded. He once threatened Teslim Folarin, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the last governorship election in the state. |

The police said they discovered suspicious items during a search of the home of Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti in Lagos State. Lagos police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed this in a tweet while responding to criticism on how police are handling the musician’s ongoing case of assault against a policeman. Nairaland founder Seun Osewa accused the police of harrassing “Seun Kuti’s family by ransacking their home and seizing his wife’s phone is wrong. “You are making people who were sympathetic to the police because Seun Kuti’s behaviour was despicable to remember why they hated the police before. This is bad Public Relations (PR) for the police.” In response, Hundeyin said, “In the course of our investigation, we stumbled on certain suspicious things that needed to be proven/disproved beyond reasonable doubt. “We, therefore, applied for and duly got a search warrant from the court which we have executed. Investigation continues. “No law restricts the police to investigating only the initial crime. World over, Police Departments stumble on other crimes while investigating an initial crime,” Hundeyin responded. “We are duty bound to investigate them in line with our mandate of detecting and investigating crimes.” Seun, son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti was seen in a viral video slapping a policeman in Lagos State. The Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman, according to a statement from police spokesman, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi thereafter ordered the arrest of the musician. Kuti on Monday turned himself in at the Lagos State Police command Headquarters, Ikeja accompanied by his lawyer and family representatives. The 40-year-old musician was subsequently arrested and moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Panti. On Tuesday, he was arraigned before Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun of a Magistrate’s Court in the Yaba area of Lagos State. The Afrobeat singer was, however, granted bail but according to his lawyer, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN), he is expected to meet his bail conditions within 48 hours. |

I think those ladies are reneging in honouring your date cuz you are shooting on the wrong birds. I know some guys will still hold on to a believe that an average Nigerian lady is a cheat, but I will like to state it here that that's just a believe based on the strata hypothesis. The fact that you dated a lady or ladies, heard of or have an experience of ladies going out with another guy's while in an active relationship doesn't mean that that's how all Nigerian ladies behave. Whenever you come across a woman who matches your person and get attracted with your personality, you will just put in a little effort and gain her whole attention, but I don't support a gamer in this context though |
God will bless you for this point of yours. What exactly has called for the frequent hike in ineterest rate overnight? From single digit to double digits; 18% as of now. This is too huge. I need someone; an economsit to convince me if it's all about discouraging borrowing in a developing country like ours where main source of our financing is majorly on loan. I have been telling people around me that some of these commercial banks have gone bankrupt and the customers monies are now at stake, but it's very painful that CBN that ought to have been a watchdog over them is still the same institution indulging and covering up these mess. I'm not surprised though, since a news once captured it that Godwin Emefiele is now a major shareholder in over 11commercial banks, so tell me how he will watch his business to go down the drain right in his very own good eyes? I want to believe that by the he leaves the office, alot of secrets will be unraveled and it will only take the grace of God for our commercial banking system to jack back to life. |

Though, I knew some guys can be so SIMPle that they can willingly hand over the wheel to their heart to a woman for a control, nevertheless, I will like to believe that this guy's case is not ordinary. He might have been charmed. I pity his parent though but I want to believe that posterity will catch on the lady in question if my insinuation is right. You locked up a guy just to cover what might turned out to be a burden and a shame on you, yet you could not apply your brain to maintain your champion; that's too bad. |

Instead of having a serious conversation with him about his nonchalant attitude, she decided to deny him sex and avoid cooking for him and some chores she usually use to do. That's a big unwise mistake that a lot of women make. She should first look for a counsellor to talk to talk to before confronting her husband, she should have a screenshot of the evidence before talking to him. She can start by appreciating him for what he is doing well in the marriage and then asking him if there's any way she is failing as a wife. She should listen to what he has to say about her effort as a wife. If he has nothing wrong to say about her, she should show him the evidence and ask where she went wrong. If nothing positive comes out of the conversation, then it's time to call the families together. I hope she is gainfully employed or has a business of her own? Cause this could go any way. You really said my mind. God will bless you. You spoke very well without being bias or sentimental. You sound like a marriage counsellor though. |
Men don't like obsession. You are moving too fast. Perhaps he sees you like someone who's so curious to take charge of the wheel in the relationship. Slow down your pace, let him take charge. Some ladies usually see this as an ego when a man is taking charge in a relationship forgetting that we always love our ego to be massage. |
Is brain paining this man? I did not even bother to read the content of the news, seeing the heading alone had tampered with my emotion |

I don't know why someone will put a cart before the horse. This latest directive is what the CBN outght to have released long ago. It's a simple logic and arithmetic. You claimed some monies are being stored and withheld from circulation by some individuals; it's nice that you made such discovery; so what's the measure you are to put in place to force the monies out of their reach? It's just so simple! The trick of redesigning naira and given the release date makes a good sense. But where the CBN has missed it was when they still placed a limit on the deposit. Contrary to the former, they should have removed the limit on the deposit ( like they just did) and maintain the limit on withdraw. Moreso, we can not all be daft, we all know no money is going to be redesigned |

This man called oyetola is not even ashame of himself. How does it even sound in his hearing that a politician, who had never been in the corridor of state power for once, not even at the local level, someone who just became a politician by circumstance, contested against the incumbent Governor and emerged a winner as against Mr. Governor. Infact, these politicians are not being surrounded with a very truthful set of people, rather those who are just deceiving them and making them relax even when things are not right around them |

So, here comes why there is an enacted labour law which states that "no one is permitted to live above his income in accordance to the labour law of Federal Republic of Nigeria." Ordinarily, if we are to judge kyari from the outward look, even from far, it will be very easier even for the last idiot to discern that kyari was living above this income. The kind of exotic cars and luxurious lifestyle he's living is enuf to do the justice |
