Saraki is the worst thing to have happened to APC.
Not just to APC........ but to Nigeria as a whole!

Right now, Saraki is "aborting the baby" of a New-born Nigeria, but most people dont know yet!.

dre11:
Why don't you take your time to read up the article and see the message the writer is passing across than just shutting it down because your "oga" was mentioned
First, l must commend the @Op for taking time to write this good piece!
It is a breath of fresh air to see such articulate writings on Naiiraland, a place notorious for being populated by unintelligent riff-raffs who dont read anything before hitting the reply button!
A place populated by under-age Jamb failure who cannot read a paragraph of any write-up successfully, not to talk or articulating one! shocked
So, its shocking that he brought this sort of article that requires "cranial exercise", to a place like this.

But let me 'go along' for now.

That as it may, the author identified THREE things that have periodically plunged the country into recession -
1.) War
2.) Political Instability
3.) Unstable/falling Oil Prices.

He has shown us how Saraki and his gang of Forty thieves and Certificate Forgers can/will lead us, "eyes-opened", into another recession..... by tampering with the budget benchmark price of crude oil while not doing anything about investing in the future and planning for the rainy day!
In other words, the 3rd point on that list is what is playing out now, with "Saraki and Brothers" in the NASS

But l tell you, it is more than that!

Saraki's action is a combination of all the three factors, of which only one has been identified by the author.

Let me explain (in reverse order):

2.) Political Instability:
Every war in Nigeria, is always preceded by Political Instability. It is what caused the Civil war of 1967 when the tit-for-tat killings of the "Political Leaders" of the North and East blew into full scale war.

Now, recall that INEC, which is responsible for conducting elections, have identified a number of reasons why Election fraud, which leads to political unrest (and then recession!), is a recurrent decimal in our polity. The agency has therefore decided that henceforth, it will START EARLY and PREPARE for elections, so that there wont be any "fire-brigade" approach that encourages rigging.

That is very commendable and l am beginning to feel that "we are entering an era where the vote of the masses will start to really count".
if our vote really begins to count, we will then realise that we have the power to discipline crooks, if per chance they find a way to deceive us into electing them into Political office.
Thus, the Presidency, heeding INEC's call for early preparation, sent a list of 36 Resident Electoral Commissioners (REC's) to the Senate for deliberation and confirmation. (Mind you, by law in the 1999 constitution, no election is valid unless confirmed by the REC of that state. it is as simple as that!)

What did Saraki and his gang of thieves do? They brushed it aside and started using blackmailing tactics (like Kidnappers!) saying: We would not even attend to the REC's list, not to talk of confirming them or otherwise) UNLESS BUHARI SACKS EFFCC's Magu!

What has Magu `(Efcc) got to do with INEC's REC?

If Saraki and his Sin-nators are paid with our tax money to live these extravagant life of theirs (I hope you have seen their total emoluments of about #40Million each, every month?) and in-turn to make laws and confirm appointees, do they have the right to refuse doing their job while still being paid?
By refusing to attend to the REC's confirmation issue, the NAAS and Saraki has shirked its responsibility to the nation with the far-reaching implication that if these RECs are not appointed on time, preparation for elections will be in shambles, leading to Rigging and by implication, INJUSTICE and then POLITICAL INSTABILITY!

Let us recall that Saraki is from a lineage of Serial Criminals!

Anyone old enough knows how him and his father, Olushola Saraki, looted the vaults of Societe General bank till the bank became bankrupt. Our dear, mercurial Jay Jay Okocha is still suffering the effect till today, as his life savings got stolen by the Sarakis, as a depositor in that bank.

We are also aware of how the Sarakis looted the state of Kwara to its knees, in the days of "Up-Oloye" when Governorship of the state passed from Shola Saraki (father), to Bukola Saraki (son)!

What about the looted #3.5 Billion Paris Debt Refund of kwara State that the President made available to States to pay their owed, staff salaries...which Bulola Saraki stole?
Should we also mention how Saraki himself looted the vault of Heritage Bank till it became bankrupt!

Thus, by refusing to do their job, by trying to use their own "responsibility" as a "Third Arm of Govt" in a democracy, to BLACKMAIL the Executive Arm, this notorious criminal called Saraki, is already plunging the future of Nigeria into Political stability!

So, when l say Saraki has Stealing, looting of public funds and Corruption in his DNA, l am not exaggerating.... it is in their lineage and blood!
I bet his sons would also be thieves like him and his father.

1.) War: well, this one is a no-brainer!
Once we allow Saraki and his gang of thieves and Certificate forgers to plunge us into Political instability (as enumerated above), we are just a step away from imminent war
Political instability sows the seed of war.
Between 1965 and 1967, `there were series of killings and counter-killings due to Political instability...that finally led to the Igbos saying "we've had enough, we want out"...and then the real war began.

So, Saraki and his gang of forty thieves are gradually leading us to an avoidable second war... with our eyes open.

For those who support Saraki's actions because of pecuniary gain or those who support it out of ignorance and idiocy or those who support him out of hatred for "anything Buhari"...l want you to know that when/if the heavens will fall, it wil fal on everyone, including them and their loved ones. undecided

We Nigerians MUST march on this Senate. We must force them to do their job.
We all need to come together to condemn what is EVIL first... then we can return later to play the 'game' of insults.

I hope everyone noticed this "good news"!?

Hopes of cheaper construction cost and land ownership for prospective property developers may still be a pipe dream going by fresh increase in land survey fees in Lagos area by the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS).

The increase by Lagos chapter of the institution, which may act as a test bed for professional scale of fees in the built environment sector has ruffled feathers in the housing industry. Other professional bodies are watching how events will unfold, while experts and private developers foresee increase in lands and housing cost.

The chapter had raised the land survey plan fees by over 300 per cent, starting from April 1. The fees cut across different zones of the state. For instance, Ikorodu, Epe, Badagry Ojo and Ajeromi Ifelodun local government that is currently N120, 000 it has been increased to N350, 000.

While Lagos Island, Eti- Osa, Ikeja and Papa, which is presently N300, 000 now is going for N1million. Somolu, Alimoso, Mushin, Agege, Ibeju Lekki, Kosofe, Lagos Mainland, Amuwo Odofin Local Government, formerly pegged at N180, 000 has been hiked to N650, 000.
Some housing professionals that spoke to The Guardian criticised the move, saying it would also make prospective homeowners to cut corners and increase the cost of procurement of land documents.

President, Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), Dr. Bolarinde Patunola-Ajayi said that the development will make few people to invest in property as the new rate is higher than the cost of buying land in some locations.NIESV president, who dismissed call for the institution to increase its scale of fees, noted that such development would have dire consequence for the housing industry.

For the Second vice president, Nigerian Institute of Building, Mr. Kunle Awobodu, said that the institution is justified in increasing its fees as inflation has affected members of the built environment professionals. He disclosed that such fees will be pass on to the would-be subscribers of houses or landed property.

But, property developers under the aegis of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) are not allowing the matter to lie low. REDAN has engaged the services of a law firm and threatened to go court.

In a letter to the surveyors, counsel to REDAN, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, asked the surveyors to suspend the implementation of the proposed increment, in order to give room for further interaction and dialogue, with all stakeholders in the building industry.

REDAN also made a case that the increment will have a ripple effect on the cost of land as other professionals involved in the real estate business such as lawyers, architects, engineers, and town planners will also increase the cost of their own services, which will all be borne by the end users. “It will also rubbish the efforts of government towards achieving affordable housing.”

REDAN therefore appealed to the surveyors to convey a meeting of all stakeholders in order to discuss and agree on the best modality for any review of professional fees in land related matters.

Adegboruwa however warned that REDAN will challenge the proposed increment in court, should the surveyors insist on implementing the policy as stated. The letter read: “Our clients consider it improper to increase the cost of survey plans at this time of economic recession, especially considering the ripple effect that such a step may have on other stakeholders within the built industry, such as architects, engineers and lawyers, etc, who are also members of their association.

“The planned increment will also impact negatively on the policy of affordable housing being promoted by the present administration at all levels. Our clients have also consulted the various statutes regulating this matter and they are yet to be convinced of the legal basis of this increment at this time.

Consequently, we have our clients’ instructions to request you to kindly prevail on your organisation and its members to suspend the implementation of this policy and to allow for further interactions, dialogue and discussions, between all the relevant stakeholders in the real estate business.

“ In compliance with statutory requirement to explore alternative dispute resolution mechanism, kindly indicate to us in writing within five clear days of your receipt of this letter, of your kind disposition towards the meeting suggested herein, failing which we have our clients’ further instructions to take out a writ of summons in court to determine the legality of such increment, to take out an order of injunction to restrain the implementation thereof and to determine other ancillary legal issues,” they added.

The Guardian learnt that the new increase is supposed to be approved by the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON), but the NIS and SURCON have been in a showdown over allegation and counter allegation bothering on induction of new members.Recently, the Surveyor General of the Federation, Prof Peter Nwilo accused the NIS President of trying to create a serious division in the profession of surveying.

Nwilo referred to the Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, CAP 425 adding that according to the law, even the minister can give instructions of general nature. The profession of Surveying is regulated by the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON), set up and empowered by CAP 425, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria.

Efforts to get the NIS Lagos chairman, Mr. Alara Olugbenga comment proved abortive. The Executive Secretary of the national body, could not respond to several calls and emails on issues raised on the matter.

You see the GREEDINESS of we Nigerians? (at the bolded)

Just like sellers were doing when Dollar rose a bit, everyone jerks-up prices astronomically and when Dollar appreciates, they refuse to bring down the prices.

How long will President Buhari and his Govt look the other way while these greedy thieves make life impossible for Nigerians?

The statement of that man above shows that the price is being raised astronomically just for pure GREED.

While Govt is trying to make houses available so as to reduce the exorbitant cost, some Greedy Surveyors are trying to even further hike the prices, at a very crazy rate.

Buhari and his Govt must re-introduce "Price Control" measures and enforce it drastically.
To not do so, means greedy thieves in our midst will rubbish whatever policy his Govt is putting in-place to make life better for Nigerians.

These greedy people dont care about anyone, they just want to make more money and pass the burden down to the consumers.

The number of "Cartons of Tiles" you will buy for each area of the house (after measuring the area to be covered) will depend on the size of each tile in the carton.... and the number of such Tiles in a single carton.

if you know the size of tiles you will be using ( e.g 60cm x 30cm, 45cm x 30cm, e.t.c) and the number of such Tiles in a Carton, you can multiply both to get the total area such tile will cover and then see how many of these size will be found in the floor area or Wall area, for example.

I think even at $45 to a barrel of crude and the agricultural drive of the government looking like starting to take off ( even if just marginally) the CBN can still sustain the dollar sale to the market.

However, something needs to be done about price control. We all felt the impact of the dollar going high against the naira as if it was headed for the moon but we are yet to feel the impact of the naira gaining ground on the dollar.

People selling things like cars, electronics and their likes may have excuses because they may still have old stocks but how about others like food items. How come their prices are not coming down?

Nigerians are Nigerians' problems. If it was that the naira was crashing in the last week, they all would have hiked up their prices but it is climbing down now but they still keep the old prices. It is beyond annoying especially for those of us who are earning in dollars.

I don't mind my $100 losing face value providing the buying power is in tact but the reverse is the case now. Makes it difficult for someone like me ( if I am honest) to pray for the dollar to crash even though it would be good if it does for the sake of those who don't earn in dollars.

Seriously, Buhari and his cabal should try something and someone else, not Dino. The man is a graduate full stop!

Now that Dino has shown his certificates and pictures of graduation, can Buhari and his gang show his own graduation pictures and certificate from the secondary school or NEPA office he got it from?

[s]This government is a sham! Buhari has been contesting for President just to enjoy the trappings of the office, because he feels entitled to it. He has nothing, whatsoever to offer. We said it and they called us names. Now those that promoted his candidacy are crying foul that he has changed from the man they used to know. How did you know him before? How did he change?

The Buhari myth has been demystified and the only way he can remedy himself is to resign and nominate a VP for the Prof and go home to take care of himself. If he continues to hold this country down, history will be most unkind to him. He'd not only be judged like Yar'adua, he'd be judged worse. At least, Yar'adua did some things but Buhari has been running a circle round himself, pretending to fight corruption but snuffing the life out of the opposition.

When he has left office, Nigerians will be regaled with stories of his own 'Dasuki ' in the fight against Boko Haram. [/s]
Some of you are a disgrace to the Internet .............and this GSM that Obasanjo brought to Nigeria!

Dino Melaye has not shown his Bachelors certificate ANYWHERE!
The last he said about it was that "he has not collected it" (He showed some forged paper he called Statement of Result though).

So, when you come around and make the above (bolded) statement categorically, it shows you are not even supposed to have access to internet on that your Techno phone.

LiePOD as usual

Senator Dino Melaye shared Convocation pictures with Parents and others .
Any Ediat can 'organise' to borrow Gown and take pictures with it......... while deceiving his parents that he had graduated!

Not to talk of a serial criminal like Dino Melaye!

You bribed lecturers, cheated and did not complete your course requirements for graduation
You bribed them to release your call-Up Letter and you went for Service.
You lied that you graduated from London Business School and Harvard.

Dino Melaye, show us your Original Certificate ........ or has that silly Vice Chancellor of ABU that you brought to testify not been able to write one for you after sixteen good years that you claimed you graduated?
