You wrote your opinion I respect that.

Why people con dey yab the poster now ?

But never say NEVER.

I read a story about Nigerian artistes in music/ entertainment produce beats , party tracks and no reasonable message to pass across , most are in the business for the fame and money not really because they want you to learn

For a Nigerian artiste to have a chance at the world in general. Forget the party tracks , nobody wants to know how much money you earn. Pass a message that affects the world positively and sit back

Nice writeup good question but you can't compare spirit with human .

God is a spirit , Man is human , you can't compare the moral of the almighty with human morals. Most humans are jealous for stupid human emotions God does not have those selfish human feelings

Finally asking why God can be jealous and you can't implies that you and God are on the same level , equals , mates and God hates that

korel9: I don't know why Nigerians always want everything for free.
You have no idea how much we're charged here in the states for such transactions.

It is only when you pay for something that you can demand for continuous and effective running of such service. angry
I no want fight but I go yarn my mind. If you dey states this matter no concern you

Because why ? States I no sure say network dey disappear for ATM

Every corner every shop , every mall ATM dey there , visa , master , amex , simple , Walmart ATM dey full everywhere

Why you even mention US ? My uncle is a citizen and I know a bit , if your account is domiciled in US , you are charged less per transaction but if you operate a domiciliary account based in Nigeria they charge 1k+ which is less than $9 per transaction

US you have credit as citizen , no strike , no delayed salary and no pension scam and absolutely less robbery , you can keep your cash at home and not even lock your door , can you do that in NG ?

Ng salary is barely enough to pay for house rent , kids and personal expenses , you can't cash out your salary at once via ATM. So , if you need 1 k to fuel your car but don't want to travel with cash , perhaps from Lagos to Ibadan to pay for some stuff but don't want to carry cash , people use ATM as much as thrice a day , that's 65 x 3 =195 x 20 days a month =3,900 out of 17,500

More importantly , no ATM network , unable to dispense cash , no debiting your account when ATM did not give you any cash , SMS charges nko ? and like a million people on queue because your own bank's network isn't available , does that happen in US ?

Minimum balance Na 1k for first bank savings acct , if you withdraw twice that's 130 , ATM no go dispense 870 or 500 especially for students ,and parents won't calculate ATM charges when they send you pocket money or school fees

My take is , abeg no put mouth for this matter , if US news dey you fit comment anyhow but 9ja news ? No even try am

Meanwhile join the campaign

B3sty: No, the Bullet go up, Hang for there.
While I enjoyed your sarcasm , bullet shot upwards can not cause so much damage on its return , Bullets fired into the air usually fall back at terminal velocity, speeds much lower than those at which they leave the barrel of a firearm. Could be dangerous but describing that scenario a bullet shot vertically will probably leave the vicinity of the shooter and less likely to hit the said political aspirant. Besides the headline is confusing , the police officer who made that shot should be arrested and detained and tried for attempted murder , that's the first thing to do , not arguing if its PDP or APC.

Politics › Boko Haram Declares Caliphate by DaBullIT(op): 9:58pm On Aug 24, 2014
The mercurial leader of Nigeria’s Islamist group, Boko Haram, today released a video in which he declares the areas under his sect’s control a Caliphate and shows scenes of carnage carried out by his fighters against unarmed civilians. The video, which is the most gruesome since Boko Haram started the tradition of periodic releases of videotaped messages, also shows Nigerian soldiers fleeing from approaching insurgents.

Mr. Shekau, who has used such images to cultivate the image of a fierce, reckless and merciless threat, appears to have tailored the current video to draw maximum global attention to his group. His declaration of a Caliphate is reminiscent of the style of the Sunni Islamic group, ISIS that has shot to the frontline of sectarian terrorist groups after declaring its ambition to build an Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

In his just released video, obtained by Saharareporters, Mr. Shekau said Boko Haram insurgents were grateful to “Allah who gave us victory to attack Abuja and also the Yobe [State] town called Damaturu.” In his characteristic rambling manner, Mr. Shekau added, “We still thank God for the successful bombing of Damboa and other parts of Nigeria. We are grateful to Allah for the big victory he granted our members in Gwoza and made the town part of our Islamic Caliphate.”

Even though Boko Haram has always stated its rejection of Western education and values in Nigeria, the current video is the first time the group’s leader has explicitly declared a Caliphate, a term implying that the areas under Boko Haram’s control would be governed according to strict Islamic codes.

Mr. Shekau lashed out at Western nations for supporting Nigeria to fight his insurgent fighters.

“We are in an Islamic Caliphate. We have nothing to do with Nigeria. We don't believe in this name," he said, vowing that his group would continue attacks to achieve greater territorial control.

Mr. Shekau stated that Boko Haram released the video in order to explain its recent attacks, officially acknowledging that the Islamist insurgents carried out recent attacks in Damboa, Gwoza and other communities in Borno and Yobe States. In the video, he revealed that Boko Haram also executed some of its members whom he described as infidels.

“Oh people, I'm making this speech because of the lies being spread always by the government,” he stated. Mr. Shekau expressed his rage at youth volunteers (popularly called civilian Joint Task Force) who repelled attacks by Boko Haram and killed some insurgents. “Have you forgotten what you did to our brethren? You were even asking 'are you Boko Haram, have you ever carried a gun? This was how you killed our members,” said Mr. Shekau, threatening to avenge the killings of his fighters.

Excerpts of the transcribed speech by Mr. Shekau are provided below:

"I chose to deliver this message in order to refute the lies being spread by the government, about the operations we had in recent times.

"We warn the vigilantes called civilian JTF to back off; if not, there will be no place for them to hide. We have evidence of how you killed some of our brethren whom you would ask if they were Boko Haram members before you killed them. We know how you humiliated them by asking them if they had ever carried guns or killed someone…We know everything about the evil you committed against our brethren.

"We still have the magnanimity of asking you to repent because you will never succeed in this way by the grace of Allah. And I swear by Allah that we will never stop killing you, because Allah commanded us to kill people like you. If we pity you and spare you, one day you will become infidels. So, to us, having pity on you is an act of disbelief. You can continue to run or hide your identities in women’s attire, but we will get to you and remove the women’s clothing off of you. Then, while you are shouting for mercy, we will strike, smash your heads and kill you all. Even if you don't do anything to us we will kill you...We would do it even to avenge our brethren. You killed our brethren in large numbers.

"We don't joke with religion (quoting from the Koran). There is no hypocrisy in this religion. It is only the truth.

NewDelhi: Its not advisable to try what that woman did. You don't know the kind of connections she has that gave her the guts to challenge the military. The soldiers must have even overlooked her because she is a woman. If it were to be a male, probably it would have been a different story but kudos to her for taking that courage.
Nicely said but military men are not gods if they messup they should be challenged regardless of being a man or woman

One yeye sojo can not come here and be oppressing innocent people ,simple boko haram they can't catch , only to demo and pose for civilians

And this goes to show that regardless of connection the woman has , soldiers have lost respect of citizens I won't be surprised if people start delivering jungle justice to soldiers who harass or oppress citizens. Let them tackle boko haram , I will start worshiping them

TonySpike: At the bolded, you absolutely right! The government at the center is the weak one. I have a feeling that deliberate delay tactics have been employed on this war since the seedling days of Boko-Haram. The sad part of it is that army mutinies are springing up here and there and it seems the army is getting tired of a civilian C-in-C. It is only a matter of time before a unifying ruthless figure in the army stands up and declares a military take-over. It might be sooner than we expect...
When all of this started , when we started hearing about boko haram , insurgency and stuffs , being the time it were , the first thing I wrote on my FB wall was that it all seemed like a season in 24 where the president allowed terrorists to bring nukes into the country , all in the name of scaring citizens and of course to secure the second term . Perhaps 24 is not just a movie , perhaps its a movie based on real events in History

Statements credited to top Nigerian politicians indicates that if insurgency lasts longer than a short time , then the government is involved . Maybe Boko haram is really Jonathan's monster created for the north , or maybe there's a bigger plan in play

Oh and this analysis is two days old , it seems like boko haram scored another victory again

: Boko Haram Militants Overrun Prestigious Mobile Police Training College In Gwoza by DaBullIT(m): 8:59am On Aug 21

onatisi: bh issue is getting more serious ,more complicated and more dangerous. This group has transformed into a full fledge rebel army. I won't be surprised if the plan of bh on the short term is to take over the whole of borno state.....
Dabullit: Don't you mean the whole of the north ? Borno=Maiduguri ~ 3.2 million people , amateur gun totting rebel can kill 15 people with A mag of AK 47 ,

200 can kill 3000 , that's not including the RPGs and tanks , the scope is join us or be killed , average of 800,000 people might join the campaign , that's more than enough for a standard state on its own , analysis in Borno only , even average of 1000 terrorists in coordinated attack can wreak world class havoc on the lives and moral of people , They have police uniforms now , they have army fatigues , they have armored tanks and armored personnel vehicles probably ,

Since boko haram roam free without challenge , they can surround a city or town , mount checkpoints , there and then , they control the people , you don't join you die , so what choice will innocent people have ? Newly overrun police camp converts to boko haram camp , shooting range and training.

If they achieve 8000 well trained Insurgents , do the maths , Real army or police checkpoints don't stand a chance. This may sound like movie plot or paranoia episode ,but its quite possible and might happen if Jona continues sleeping , Boko Haram's confidence has been boosted and will destroy North or transform if to caliphate and soon after there'll be sneak attacks or even full fledged assaults /onslaught on other parts of the country even breaking up can't stop them now because of their experience and then you can change the name of a location , state or country you can not move the earth /soil from its position...
