I quoted you because you didn’t know he was related to Arthur Eze. You even said they weren’t from the same town.

My comment was not about his military service, where he served neither was it about his children.
Well, someone wrote that Arthur Eze is from Dunukofia. How is Dunukofia same as Ukpo??
As for his never being in Nigerian military and his daughter being a convicted criminal, they're all part of the discussion
Politics › Re: What Ojukwu Said About Releasing Awolowo by DaddyCoool(f):
LegendHero:
Normally I shouldn’t respond to your ignorance.

—Awolowo was released in August 4 1966. That was before civil war, almost a year before. We saw the proof Gowon released him. Ojuku had no supreme control of eastern region by this time.

So you know, it wasn’t Awo alone that was released on that day, Gowon released multiple people at once and it was fully gazetted.

—Col. Banjo was released May 1967 when Ojuku proclaimed Biafra. We all know Ojuku released him because by then, he had control of the Eastern region.

So why will you now equate both occurrence? You better go back to your history books and stop saying nonsense on public forum.
You folks' ignorance is amazing. There were people who helped persuade Ojukwu to release Awo, they collaborateed Ojukwu's story!!
Coup was on 29 July and failed woefully in the East. Aim of coup was secession of the North. Coup plotters were LATER persuaded to pick Gowon. Ojukwu neither recognized the coup plotters nor Gowon whom he considered his inferior.
Awo was released August 4th, at a time Gowon hardly knew his right from left and was not at all recognized in the East as head of state.
HOW COULD AWO HAD BEEN RELEASED WITHOUT OJUKWU'S CONSENT?? RELEASED ON GOWON'S ORDERS BY PEOPLE WHO NEITHER RECOGNISED NOR SURPORTED GOWON?!!

Gidgiddy come here, can you present one single evidence that lay claim that Ojuku released Awo besides his own (Ojuku) word?
Sure, Gowon also released Banjo and other prisoners serving in the East! Powerful Gowon! If he was so powerful why didn't he simply throw Ojukwu in same prison and save us all headache of the war??

Gowon had no authority in the East. Zero. Zilch. He couldn't release his own mother from Calabar without Ojukwu - except through war!

From the UK Guardian Newspaper
My friend, it is SETTLED history, Ojukwu released Awo - he allowed his release.
But Gowon could have re-arrested him and he didn't.

Sooo, why didn't he also release Banjo and other political prisoners in the East?? Nobody could have been released from Calabar without Ojukwu.
You are pathetic. Gowon agreed and could have re-arrested him, why he had to immediately visit and kowtow to Gowon!

If you don't see anything wrong with dating a single mother, that's fine because it's your choice.

But I don't want any single father, unless I'm a single mother too.

So don't try to project your ideas on me.

I'm the one who listed why NOT to date a single mother
(see my earlier posts).

I'm also the one who wrote the following:

People here on NL generally talk as if the opposite sex were displayed on a table and they get to choose whom they want.
When in reality it is a combination of availability, proximity, convenience, compatibility, and frankly, the best you can get/afford/attract!

That's real life

But I don't get it, you guys constantly open threads of how you want virgin wives, but now you have issues with me preferring a man without a child... Why?

Why can't you just respect my choice the same way I respect yours? Are you a single father?
I'm not "you guys" at all, and only 1 or 2 guys open all those virgin-obsession threads. This thread is an intellectual discourse on dating single parents. If it were just about our choices, we'll all simply state our choices and that will be the end of it - nothing to discourse!

Christianity Etc › Re: What Does This Verse In The Bible Mean? by DaddyCoool(f): 8:02am On Sep 05, 2023
MaxInDHouse:
Right from your first mention of me you've been abusive so calm down and reason like a liberal person.
Jesus said two things there:
[1] How he will come and destroy all evildoers just as the scriptures foretold.
[2] Some of those standing there will see him in that magnificent glory as confirmation of what he just told the crowd.
So Peter in his letter to the congregation told them how himself, John and James saw Jesus in his magnificent glory during the transfiguration! 2Peter 1:16-18

Your hastiness is the problem! smiley
I never said John is Elijah but Jesus so we know that both characters are separate individuals so what Jesus meant is that John has played the role of Elijah who is to come! smiley
I don't know how telling someone who seems ONLY capable of repeating to use his own head, how that is an insult. But I guess we differ on that.
Soo, how many people who were standing there died before the transfiguration? Answer that one. Christ was obviously talking of something that would happen in the distant future and that SOME standing there would even STILL be alive to witness it. Clearly, he wasn't refering to the transfiguration, which happened right away.
As for JohnTB, you were even trying to say he didn't know who he was - that he was literally Elijah! When clearly he knew enough to know he was not literally Elijah, which you were implying was what Christ said!
Christianity Etc › Re: What Does This Verse In The Bible Mean? by DaddyCoool(f): 7:20am On Sep 05, 2023
MaxInDHouse:
The context differs!
@ verse 27 Jesus is talking about the time he will come and destroy all evildoers but @ verse 28 he is referring to the sign some standing right there will see as evidence that truly he is the one who is coming to do all these things as written in the scriptures.
Please stop the abusive speeches true Christians don't go about abusing people when matters like this arises we reason together as believers.
Peter later talked about the magnificent transfiguration as the evidence that everything Jesus said about himself is sure! 2Peter 1:16-18

John is not a perfect man so he can't perfectly grasp the role God is using him to fulfil but Jesus God's son knows everything about the scriptures that's why he told us that John is the Elijah who is to come.
Do you know that John was confused about the identify of the Lord Jesus Christ?
John later sent his disciples to ask if Jesus is truly the Christ {Matthew 11:2-3} yet he heard God's own voice confirming that Jesus is the Christ! John 1:32-34
So did John the baptist fully understood the scriptures and it's fulfilment?
The answer is NO!
What abusive language?? If you call telling someone to use his own head abusive language it indicates having issues.
What context? Same speech, same place, same audience. What context?? You know the context better than people who were there!

John the Baptist was John the Baptist, NOT Elijah, and he said so himself. But he was Elijah in another sense, NOT in the literal sense you were implying!

Romance › Ten Indicators Of Low Self-esteem by DaddyCoool(op):
1) You’re a people pleaser
While it’s nice to be considerate of others and care about their well-being, putting yourself last shows that you don’t value yourself.
It signals that your own desires are less important

2) You can’t take a compliment
When someone gives you a compliment, you don’t simply say “thank you.”
You make a whole production out of it.
Then, you casually list five to ten of your flaws they failed to notice.

3) You say “sorry” too much
Frequently apologizing, even when you haven’t done anything wrong, also signals a lack of confidence.
You do it to avoid conflict or to seek the approval of others.

4) You apologize for your opinions
Speaking of apologizing, if you do it whenever you express an opinion, it’s likely due to low self-esteem.

5) You minimize your knowledge
On the same note, low self-esteem may make you downplay your expertise or knowledge on a particular subject.

6) You don’t have relationships
if you want companionship but don’t put yourself out there, there’s a good chance it’s because your confidence  is down the drain.

7) You make light of your achievements
If you struggle with confidence, there’s a chance you fail to celebrate or recognize your hard work because you don’t see it as significant.
Instead, you tell people you had help, got lucky, or that anyone could have done it.

8} You overwork yourself
People with low self-confidence overwork themselves to prove their worth to themselves and their employers.
If you’re on the verge of burnout and still volunteer for that project no one else wants to touch, something deeper might be going on.

9) You strive for perfectionism
Low self-esteem and perfectionism go hand-in-hand.
People who lack confidence believe they’re not good enough, so they exhaust themselves trying to meet unreasonable standards in everything they do to prove that they are.

10) You use self-deprecating humor
Constantly making jokes at your own expense can reinforce negative self-beliefs.
You might not realize it – but if self-deprecating humor is your default form of interaction, your self-esteem could use some work.
