Same thing I have been saying from the beginning!

It is you who is tired of defending the defenseless and an obvious dent on your God's attribute.

While I am telling you that the God in the bible didn't abolish nor discourage slavery of man , you are busy beating about the bush concentrating on Paul.

If you and I agree slavery of man by man is evil, then tell me why your God never considered it evil by telling the Israelites not to engage in slavery right from the old testament to the new?

In the new testament, paul said there is neither slave nor free but all are one in christ jesus.
What could be better than that?

bright007:

An all-loving God wouldn't permit a human taking another human as slave.

Except you wanna be economical with sound reasoning and truth.

You didn't reply to the post you quoted, just say you have nothing else to say or that you don't understand the message and principles of the new testament teachings.
Religion / Re: A Logical Question For African Christians. by Daejoyoung: 10:20am On May 30, 2020

This isnt about the speaker. The speaker in that verse is a born again Christian. He hears directly from Jesus.
It will not be out of place if the Christian God tells him to tell the Christians to abolish slavery in their capacity

That they should free all slaves in their dominion. It doesn't matter if they obey or not. He has taken a stand.

But rather what did we read? Encouraging them to have more slaves.
But he already told them, there is no slave or free in christ jesus, and everyone is thesame.

So in that sense, a slave obeying his master, would simply be serving him like before but even better and with a new consciousness that he is a free man and not a slave, and his Christian master would not treat him like a slave, because they are thesame, this however doesn't prevent the former slave from serving him still in willing Christian service, and the so called master is now aware that he is no longer a master and would treat the so called slave as a brother in christ.

There is only one master to both of them, and that is christ.
This was the christian ideal at the time, and I think it was reasonable.

Yet another shallow defense!

Destroyed the Syrians and Egyptians for slavery yet encouraged it among the Isrealites?

Now slavery is different from apprenticeship or working for someone. When you go to war and kill innocent women and children and bring defenseless humans to your country and control all aspects of their life, that is slavery.

Why did your God not prohibit that or speak against it. Even up to the new testament wen Jesus was alive, slavery was booming. During Paul's time, Christian's even had slaves.

Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Colossians 3:22”
And so I keep asking you, from the colossians scripture in the new testament you quoted, would you have preferred that the author say: Slaves campaign against your masters or revolt because slave lives matter?
Also note that paul said: In christ, there is neither jew nor Greek, Male or female, scythian, slave, babarian, etc, but all are one in christ jesus. Isn't that good for a start?

Galatians 3:28, NIV: "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." ...

I am looking at it from the religious perspective.

If humans knew slavery was evil, what about God who created them?

How could jesus or paul lead a slaves lives matter protest in an Empire that cared so little about human lives? wouldn't that be foolish? you want him to waste the lives of those slaves? His duty was to die as their representative in their place, not to lead them to death.
Religion / Re: A Logical Question For African Christians. by Daejoyoung: 9:14am On May 30, 2020

What a shallow answer!

That there were no machines to do work is not a reason for the bible not to condemn slavery.

The very humans that your God created in his own image is being subjugated under another man and the bible supports it.

How will such a human who is a slave live a life of choice?

Please try to put up a solid defense this time.
You keep using 21st century lens on ancient times. I repeat, the successful campaign against slavery in England in the 18th/19th century had more to do with the industrial revolution than human compassion. People knew slavery was evil before then, but there was just no better way to get cheap labour, it was a brutal era of constant wars, subjugations and survival of the fittest.
This is a historical fact, don't give me sentiments, refute it logically.

Also, let's be reasonable at least. How could jesus or paul lead a slaves lives matter protest in an Empire that cared so little about human lives? wouldn't that be foolish? you want him to waste the lives of those slaves? His duty was to die as their representative in their place, not to lead them to death.
Religion / Re: A Logical Question For African Christians. by Daejoyoung: 8:05am On May 30, 2020
The op is wrong about the issue of slavery in the new testament. Neither Jesus nor Paul could start a slaves lives matter movement because it would be the most stupid thing to do at the time. Jesus would be directly killing the people he had come to die for and save under a brutal era.
Also slavery could not be condemned in ancient times, because a lot of manual work had to be done and there were little resources compared to today, since there were very few invented machines that could make our lives easier then. Slavery was condemned with the advent of industrial revolution in England.
Your lack of knowledge or understanding of history is the reason for this absurd hypothesis of yours.

b]And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist,[/b] whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world
.
You are quoting this scripture out of context donnie, john was writing against gnostics, the gnostics claim that jesus did not die because he was not human, he was a ghost, hence without flesh and blood, thus could not die. The epistle of john was written to tackle these heresies and to promote unity and love.

This doesn't make any sense, the computer is just a machine but doesn't seem to have self awareness or a kind of understanding and consciousness. lt just processes things from CPU and performs instructions or data given to it.
The human brain is exactly like the computer, but humans do not only have brains as it seems, they also have a kind of self awareness not present in computers, animals come close in that aspect, but humans are so distinct in this, that I do not think evolution all by itself can account for that. There must be something still mysterious about the human mind, that makes it function like a computer but also beyond that.

We are Israelites not Egyptians. Our forefathers already adopted many Egyptian cultures that is why we are in trouble today. Many of the idolatrous practices of our people were learnt from Egypt. Many of the idols are actually gods of Egypt.

Christianity adopted very many Egyptian pagan cultures as well eg. Sun worship, Easter, Christmas, Crosses etc

Even Hollywood and entertainment industry promote these idols of Egypt and Israelites run after them.

Israel must repent from all these abominations.
How do you know we are Israelites? Egyptians, Nubians, ( all dark skinned) worshipped several idols even before Genesis was written, how do you know we ain't their descendants?

Repent as Israel and keep the Commandments. That's the message.
But we are doing that already, the knowledge of jesus being black doesn't propel us to either keep or not keep the commandment, those who want to keep it, would keep it, and those who would not keep it, would not keep it, whether they be black, white, green, or red in colour.

what is your gospel then? that jesus is black? and that black are jews? is that a gospel?
What's so special about the biblical Hebrew tradition? why not claim the ancient Egyptian culture as our own? why can't we black worship Horus and take it as our forgotten heritage? After all ancient Egyptians were also dark skinned, weren't they?

Like I said before, it's a personal enligntment. When I first learned the truth I had an overwhelming quest for more knowledge about the scriptures. I discovered what the OP discovered that the Bible was rewritten, added to, and information omitted.

The Bible clearly states not to add or omit from the scriptures. I studied the Bible, the apacrapha, the Torah and even some of the quran in a college Religious Literature class with original scriptures written in Hebrew and Greek and I was amazed. We truly have been brainwashed. The original Hebrews and Egyptians were definitely black.

ln that case, if everything has been rewritten, it is difficult to find out the complete truth. Let us abandon these religions altogether, and focus on our own cultures. Even if we don't abandon christianity completely, we can only pick and choose from it, since we can't tell what is true and what is false. Same goes to our african traditions, so you have no choice than to become a so called free thinker.
Try to get my point, your message is good, but l don't see how it helps those who want to live by the gospel of jesus christ.

This topic is not meaningless, it is the truth and with truth comes knowledge and with knowledge comes power. This is not about the white man or convincing the world of your belief because people believe what they choose to believe. This is a personal Epiphany
How does this truth help us? what would change if we accept that jesus was black?

It's better to live in the truth than to die in ignorance. If his skin color didn't matter what was the purpose of changing it from black(the truth) to white (a falsified doctrine)?
The whites made their jesus white, creating him in their own image. Nothing stops us blacks from doing thesame. The real issue we have is not whether jesus was black or white, but that we are not powerful. The whites could change things so easily and sell it to the world because they had power. This is why this topic is meaningless, it doesn't matter whether we recognize for ourselves that jesus was black, red, or blue, because in the end the white man is still more powerful than the black man. We must first of all advance ourselves, and I do not see how a black jesus gives us that needed advancement.

Whats you don't know is that even those so-called local gods, many times are actually references to the same great God of Israel. Christianity has polluted our minds.
But the God of the old testament never tolerated the worship of several gods. If there are so many local gods in african traditional culture, how can all of them be a reference to thesame God of Israel?

But I'm getting this error.
Help will be greatly appreciated.
Check the folders for views.py and urls.py. I think it can't read it from the folder, or try importing views directly from your app.
For example if the name of your app is blog, then write:

from blog import views

It's a folder problem, I believe.

To write django for instance, just get a little of the basics like list, data types, dictionaries, and then specially learn functions and classes( a form of object oriented programming). Then you are good to go.

Html and css are not programming languages. You just write them in an IDE like visual basic and the likes.

Java is a programming language, and the environment for java must be downloaded and installed.

Javanian i see you abeg profer solutions for me.
You download and install the particular programming language or a particular package that comes with all the dependencies ( e.g anaconda in the case of python).

After that you can program automatically from your command prompt and lDLE.

To make your work easier, you then download and install an lDE( e.g pycharm for python).
But if you got python through anaconda, you have almost everything you need included in your package.

Alternatively you can program online from some platforms that allow you practice for free, without downloading or installing anything.
