SpatialKing:Nope l said it would not increase the way it increased in Europe and the U.S. With Europe and the U.S, you had thousands of cases and so many deaths in two weeks. My initial argument was against you( or was it someone else) who posted statistics of how the number of infections and deaths increased geometrically in the space of one month in U.S and Europe, and same individual predicted thesame outcome for Nigeria. l am saying that prediction has failed already in one month of our first index case. The most important statistics here however is the number of deaths. lt doesn't matter how many have been infected, if the number of deaths remain low, then that is good news, for instance Ghana has over 1000 infections with 9 deaths. |

Poloyanabo1:Stop taking john 3v17 out of context, what john meant by believing in jesus is not what is usually meant today. Believing in jesus was not about believing in doctrines but believing his teachings because you are open to the truth. From his teachings and signs of wonder, the people were expected to judge for themselves and come to the conclusion that God's salvation is here through the man jesus, and they were to obey his teachings. Note, the end goal was to obey his teachings. 1 Like |

SpatialKing:Still the prediction failed. ln 1 month or 3 weeks, the projection of coronavirus cases in Africa was not like that of Europe, U S, and Asia. This is a concluded matter my man. Nigerians and Africans would not die of the virus like in Europe and Asia. ln 1 month of lockdown, Africa as a whole has about 1000 deaths, was this the case in Europe and the U.S? Just say what you expected it to be in 1 month did not turn out to be so. lt is not a crime to admit you and others like you have been wrong, to expect the cases of deaths in Nigeria and Africa to be like it is in Europe and U.S within 1 month. You are quite amusing to spend your time keeping tabs of people dying, you should be happy Africans have not died like in the rest of the world within 1 month of the virus. You and other naysayers expected worse already by the end of April, but it turned out not to be, so please forget about this issue. Wash your hands, wear your masks, take immune boosters, and maintain your social distancing but don't put unnecessary fear in the mind of people with your false predictions. |

Programming / Re: Why Is Python Programming So Hard To Understand by Daejoyoung: 4:27pm On Apr 20, 2020 |
locust:The code from the book says myName=input() and that function input() gives a user interface where you then type in your name and press enter. You do that if you want it to show your name. Follow the code exactly as it is in the book, by putting myName=input(), when you run everything, then you'll see a dialogue box asking you to input your name. 1 Like |
Programming / Re: Why Is Python Programming So Hard To Understand by Daejoyoung: 3:53pm On Apr 20, 2020 |
locust:yeah and your code is right. What you did in line 3, is that you assigned the name 'locust' to a variable called...my Name. This is the user input. ln line 4, you did what is called string Formatting. You gave an instruction to the program to say...Good to see you + myName. (where myName is now equal to whatever you gave it in line 3, which in this case is 'locust'). The use of the plus sign there is how you bring your string ( or sentence) and your variable ( myName) together, and it is referred to as String Formatting. Hope this helps? You can ask whatever you don't understand. 1 Like |

unstoppable51:oh come on my man, the gospel is not just about a so called formula of believing in doctrines in order to go to heaven. Believing in jesus is not about having blind faith or believing in doctrines. lt is about doing the works our father gave us to do. Believing in jesus is simply to obey his teachings because you are convinced about his message of the kingdom of God being at hand. And this message of the kingdom of God is not some kind of heaven in the sky or what have you, the kingdom of God is about love, peace, and justice on earth. |
Religion / Re: Discussion: What Is Christianity All About And What Is The Bible? by Daejoyoung: 10:16am On Apr 19, 2020 |
Christianity started more like reformed Judaism from my understanding. The bible was completely canonized for all Christians 300 years after jesus. The bible can lead us to christ and God, but the bible is not a dictation of God, rather it was put together by men who wanted to understand God from their limited perspectives. This doesn't take anything away from its spiritual teachings. Religon of jesus in gospel of Matthew is simple: Do unto others what you want them to do unto you, for these are the law and the prophets . 1 Like |

Now the two weeks are gone, and l am saying it is not going to be as bad in Nigeria. However social distancing, washing of hands, and other protective measures should not be neglected. |
