adigun98:For the study route, I know about Germany at the moment ( because of the free tuition fee). However even that 2 million naira would only be good enough if you have someone ( preferably a relative) who is qualified to sign a guarantor's form for you ( that he/she would be responsible for your upkeep), then 2 million in that case would be more than enough. I think same goes with other countries like Austria, Luxembourg, Czech republic, where you may find schools with very low tuition fees. Just go on google to do more research on many of these countries. In my opinion, Ukraine and Turkey is not worth it, because many there are running to Germany. Even Nigerian graduates from said countries do this frequently. 4 Likes |

adigun98:The problem is when you get to those countries with your 2 million naira, and you can't even find a survival job at least, you would be stuck. You can't easily leave again ( because you have very little left) and at the same time, you are stuck there. Even when you find menial jobs, the very low pay wouldn't do much to help your case. The only advantage is in the opportunity to send money back home to Nigeria because of the high difference in the currency rate, but being stable in these countries may not be very easy as well because of lack of opportunities. 2 Likes |

legionISproteus:There's actually no need to immigrate to these countries. There is a high level of poverty in many of these European countries too. He'll just go there to start from square one and most likely be trapped with very low paying menial jobs. It's not worth it in my opinion. 1 Like |

Walk:Germany is a country of appointments. Even when you are sick and want to see a doctor, you must book an appointment. However when it comes to cutting your hair, there are many non German barbers from Turkey and Syria, and in places like Berlin you would find Nigerian hair cutters as well. You don't usually have to book an appointment with most of them. 2 Likes |

[quote author=Kobojunkie post=92465560] Are you sure this is even from the Bible? Matthew 19v28 Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Luke 24v19-21 What things?” he asked. “About Jesus of Nazareth,”they replied. “He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. 20 The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; 21 but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place Acts 1v6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel? |

The Way to get to God, the Father, is Jesus Christ(The New Covenant).Well Kobojunkie to be honest, I don't understand how your quotes about jesus being the way or truth answers my question. I never disputed that jesus is the way, truth, and the life, I'm only asking you what does this mean to Taoist or say a liberal Buddhist or even Liberal muslim? That said, worshipping another master yet unknowingly obeying the commandments of Jesus Christ does not get one to God either. For you cannot worship two masters.Never said anything about worship, taoism is more of a philosophy, than it is about worship per say. What if the Tao's doctrines and teachings are all 100% thesame with that of christ? The Taoist needs to either serve confucius or serve Jesus Christ... not both. What if Confucius and Christ do not really differ in their teachings? According to Matthew 25, the fire itself burns eternity, and the punishment that awaits the evil people will be forever. Not sure if that means they will burn forever, but my guess is that the goats have eternal life so the statement about their punishment lasting forever maybe apt.Well we agree to disagree on that passage for now. |

Kobojunkie:The way, the truth, and the life, what does that mean? One says he is a Taoist, loves the philosophy of Confucius( of which many are not harmful)also follows all the commandments of jesus unknowingly but doesn't even call himself a Christian and despises the Christian religions ( Catholicism, Protestantism, etc) would you say this person is following christ? I have nothing against obedience. I am speaking about mere belief in a religion or doctrine, is that what you mean by christ as the way? Matthew 25 speaks of a fire that consumes the enemies of God , it's as simple as that. If you don't think so, then explain your interpretation of the passage, don't just quote it. Fire in the old testament ( as well as in the new) was all about either purification or total destruction. This interpretation of biblical fire as an everlasting hell comes mostly from Greek and Persian religions. Jesus from what I read of him in the gospels simply believed in physical death through fire for the resurrected enemies of God, in a final death where they can no longer rise again, and then a physical kingdom here on earth where he sits on a throne with his 12 disciples governing the 12 tribes of Israel with him. That was the dream, but it didn't turn out that way, at least not immediately like the disciples expected. |

Kobojunkie:So can someone obey all these laws of christ and yet remain a Muslim or a deist? Don't get me wrong, I agree with you on keeping the commandments of jesus, my post was targeted at the likes of Righteousness, and the guy I quoted. To them, inheriting the kingdom of God is all about confessing a formula, or just believing, and so in that sense those of other Religions can never be followers of christ. Also my arguement was to show the absurdity of the doctrine of hell fire. In my understanding of the bible, there is no everlasting fire where souls remain alive, but rather an everlasting (or age long) fire that completely destroys and brings the age of wickedness (or of satan and demons) to an end. |

Kobojunkie: Kobojunkie: According to Jesus Christ, the New Covenant of God to man(gentiles in particular), those who do not obey Him, will have no share in the promise that the agreement comes with. Niceness and kindness to men is not the measure here but obedience is. So wasn't she obeying christ as a good person? what other obedience does christ demand? Kobojunkie: According to Jesus Christ, the New Covenant, Heaven's immigration policy stipulates that all those who want to enter, be in obedience to the Law of the land in question, Heaven. No matter how previously loved, or nice, or good(by man's measure) a candidate is, if the candidate is not in compliance with the laws of Heaven, entry will be denied. Now you are getting me confused. What are these laws of heaven? Understand that no human being can will another into Heaven...Pity or love for the candidate cannot force open the gates of Heaven for the candidate. Each candidate is required to make the choice of Heaven for themselves, a choice revealed through their obedience or lack of, towards the New Covenant agreement. You keep saying obedience, what is this obedience towards the new covenant and why are those good works not enough, what else is required of her? |

Blabbermouth:Blabbermouth, let's assume your mother is muslim, but a very liberal muslim loved by all because she is very nice. She does so much good and have even established so many orphanage homes and stuff like that. You love your mum so much, and everyday you preach jesus to her telling her to accept jesus as lord and saviour, but she didn't. On the last day would God admit her to heaven or hell? considering that everyone must accept jesus as lord and saviour to get to heaven according to the evangelists and the likes of Righteousness89? If she goes to hell, how comfortable would you be in your heaven? |

TheGenius001:This is from stackoverflow, always type your error directly on google and you would find a stackoverflow answer. python3 -m venv virtualenv source virtualenv/bin/activate pip install django Type the codes above, the first creates a virtual environment, the second activates it, and the third installs django in your virtualenv. If that does not solve your problem, then it might have something to do with anaconda. Type.... conda install -c anaconda django |

Akiliogidi:Second class lower, what cgpa exactly? Germany doesn't grade by second class or first class, they convert your cgpa directly to their grade format using a particular formula. For example, after the conversion, a 3.48 cgpa might be equivalent to a 3.5. |

Bacteriologist:Symbolic about cursing the fig tree, not hating your family. You seem confused already. The freedom many enjoy today, some died for it. How does that equate to jihadist blowing themselves up? If the family of the freedom fighter stands against his course, then he must be ready to go against his family to become the freedom fighter he wants to be. If you want to join the red cross to help society and your family says no, you cannot for love of family reject the red cross, it just simply means you must choose one. Reject your family's opinion if you want the red cross. |

Mgbadike80:If you can speak German up to B1/B2 level, and of course wanna come to Germany, then I'll say you are doing well. It would improve your ease of getting a job, just perfect your B2 when you arrive ( if you must). Your python projects in Gis would be important, also good experience from Nigeria, or a related degree would skyrocket your chances. Get a driving license and then show it within your first six months of arrival, you would pay less to then get the German driving license( to my knowledge) since it's usually very expensive. If you can ride forklifts, these would also give you high paying jobs anywhere in Germany as a student especially with your level of German 7 Likes |
Religion / Re: Is Jesus Really The Loving, Gentle And Peaceful Figure Christians Paint Him As? by Daejoyoung: 11:49am On Jul 28, 2020 |
Cursing of the fig tree in those days by a prophet was understood as a prophetic action against Israel the vineyard of God, you can read Jeremiah and those prophetic books to understand better. Jesus cursed the fig tree and immediately prophesied against the temple. It was a symbolic action that the temple ( and the religious leadership of Isreal) no longer bore fruits and would fall. Well, jesus statement against family is harsh but it is what it is. Christianity is not easy, and the disciples lost their lives for it, their families would obviously not have wanted that. |

Bittertruth2020:Please take it easy on the op bro, he has been doing a great job here. The perception that east is so dangerous safety wise is not peculiar to the op and its' a perception shared by many Nigerians and people in other places in Germany. When I went to Berlin and Bremen, some Nigerians I met asked if I was safe in Magdeburg at the time, but Magdeburg was just normal to me. However, I heard Magdeburg was once more dangerous for blacks in say 2002 for instance, so it's the stereotype that lingers, and stereotypes do not die easily. 26 Likes |
