Op nice write up, but, The attah of igala is not a holder of the GCFR honour. GCFR is only conferred on the president and head of states; thank you.
I don't know if truly he doesn't hold the title but its no longer reserved for past leaders. Aliko Dangote and Mike Adenuga are examples.

Modified: my bad. Thought it was GCON not GCFR. I don't think anyone other than the incumbent president holds GCFR.

Abegi, story for the gods. You are a hypocrite. Most of you GEJ Supporters are the real Haters who despise GMB coz of his accent, his Fulani background, his religion, certificate, and other stupid and childish shyyt. Yet you turn around and try to play the victim??

You lot are swearing all over about how you will ensure that Buhari never governs this country again even if he wins fairly and squarely. Hypocrite!

You must think we are fools.

I'm always sad when I see people comment and say GEJ didn't do anything like some posters above. I still think that despite the administration's shortcomings, it still achieved far more than other administrations.
Most just hate GEJ because he's 'GEJ'. Some hate him for his looks, his profession, his ethnicity, his outfit, his wife etc.
Nigeria will get better when Nigerians decide to work together. The day I watched Obama's state of the union speech to congress filled with the opposition party, I marveled at how the Americans are willing to work together to better the country irrespective of political affiliations; instead of using the administration's shortcomings to smear the image of Obama.

FYI, the thread title is misleading because I didn't see where he begged people to save him from defeat. Still, he has my vote.

Politics › Re: President Jonathan Looks Very Dapper In This Suit (photo) by DaGC(m): 5:26am On Feb 04, 2015
Now because of this outfit, some are removing the word 'clueless' from being associated with him saying he should have donned this more often. So its now about looks?? SMH.

Obj spent most of his tenure donning the yoruba attire, no 1 called him clueless despite his looks. Yar'adua did same with the kaftan and all, no one called his looks clueless. Jona did same and rocked his ethnic regalia, and some Nigerians took offence.

Truly, some Nigerians dont see any good in other Nigerians not from the 3 major ethnic groups.

Seriously the frenzy and love for this man is infectious....people just kept coming and coming.

Am not disputing if anybody claimed they were paid 2k each, imagine for a crowd of almost 200k that should amount to about N400,000,000, seriously isn't that extreme, what about other states like Lagos, ibadan, bauchi etc, the turn out was massive too. Where they equally paid N2000 each? Seriously people ought to think before they open the hole in their face.....

Let the better man win!!!!!
Boss, have you seen 200,000 people before?
If you have, you wouldn't call this '200k'.

You sir, ought to think before saying.

Homeboy and I made N23,000 during Buhari's presidential rally in PH. We got over 20 people for them. We just called a couple cousins around Dazy and some Uniport undergrads.

Would probably have made more if I was around for Jonathan's own.

053 should be Edo. I remember our landline at home in Delta then, was 054-41792(if I'm not mistaking). I remember how we used to pick up our panasonic phone and dial dad and mum at work and after that,we'd look up the directory, and start dialling different office numbers. Our neighbour upstairs had the old ring phone where you'd have to put one finger in no,ring it to the right, then put the finger in the next no and ring it again till you dial your complete no. For whatever it was,I found that old ringer more exciting than ours that was modern and all buttons. Memories of the good old days.
Delta is 053 cool

If not that he stifled the press, I'm sure we might have gotten more views about how his dictatorship was. More of our reporters would have covered it objectively. The same way people are able to probe other administrations. But now we resort to BBC archives, NYtimes etc.

Pretend all you want though, the documentary would have swayed many people from voting for him next month.

sokera:
that is why he is clueless and more reason we need to vote him out because he does not have what it takes to fight boko haram, we need someone like Buhari because he as the military experience to defeat boko haram . A normal leader is suppose to step down . But GEJ is a selfish man. He prefer to be the president and allow thousands of Nigerians to die than to step down.
Exactly, the unfair point I was trying to make. I gave examples with Cameron and Obama, they haven't stepped down from the delay with ISIS despite having better hardware and experience.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Lacks Will To Crush Boko Haram, Buhari Tells Kerry by DaGC(m): 8:59am On Jan 27, 2015
Below is an opinion I shared on another thread a while ago.

DaGC:
Sometimes, I think some of us are unfair with GEJ on the Boko Haram ish. Its not the 1st time he's purchasing military equipments for the armed forces. There have been deliveries of aircrafts, artillery guns, APCs, tanks even before this election. That its taking the armed forces a longer time to deal with it is not his fault. He has changed service chiefs, purchased hardware, spoke with other African leaders on working together, requested Western help etc.

I don't know why people think say na Presidents dey bring military strategies abi na all presidents get military training?? Abi when them dey do all their training and maneuvers, the Presidents dey dey there?

The military has been there before him and will continue to be there after him. He cant keep sacking ranking officers especially in wartime. There always have to be a level of command in the military. You cant just drop senior officers and promote any Tom and Harry without the experience into his/her place.

Yes, its taking a long time, but its not entirely his fault. Thats like blaming the President for a thief robbing successfully; or the British and American people clamouring for the heads of Cameron and Obama for the delay with ISIS.

Well, I sure know that this Boko Haram issue has cost him a lot of votes already.
Politics › Re: GEJ Meets With Dangote, Otedola, Other Businessmen In Lagos (Photos) by DaGC(m): 6:57pm On Jan 26, 2015
Not everything he does this period should be seen as campaign. Until May 29, the constitution still recognizes him as the President. He's still carrying out his duties. The banner says something about a business forum. He's meeting with people providing jobs to Nigerians and the only thing most Nigerian youths see here is 'election' and the usual 'e-fights and insults'.

Make some of una dey act with sense sometimes.

I've turned quite a few down and has also been turned down by girls. Such is life. Most that asked me out, I didn't really feel that way about them so I rejected most. The heart wants what the heart wants. Although I took advantage of a lot of them because of their feelings. I was immature then.

I also think many girls like dudes with girlfriends.
