If that's truly Tottenham's official handle, then Soldado don suffer. Kai!! ![]() |
Coming from a governor that bragged about Lagos being able to survive on IGR alone without federal allocation, this is kinda weird. Yes, he worked, so did other governors and they didn't accumulate such debts. I saw some people saying things like 'do you know what lagos was like in 1998' or 'he's working. Remember when we couldn't answer phones at the bus stop?' etc. I could say the same thing about other states. I was in Kano before Kwankwaso, and when I visited recently, the changes/improvements were extremely visible. Most of us didn't know much of Akwa Ibom before Akpabio. I also knew of Edo before Oshiomole and what it is now(still got more to improve), even Warri of 1998 is not the same Warri of today; the improvements are too vast. Even Nigeria has a whole has improved drastically from previous years. My gripe with most Lagosians is that despite all Nigerian politicians being almost the same, they are always quick to dismiss achievements of the others and praise just this man. They are all the same regardless of party. |
Please people, Gowon is no Abe Lincoln!!!. |
3 great players from 3 different eras of football. Almost impossible to compare. But for me, its 1. Pele 2. Messi 3. Maradona |
Good development. Always nice to hear news like this. |
This is a very big L.O.L moment ![]() |
Very unethical. ![]() I'm just glad that no more innocent Nigerians will suffer from this dreaded sect. |
yazach:This is my problem with some nairalanders. I gave my opinion. I have nothing against his age, religious beliefs, personality etc. All I said is that I don't want to see a former ruler occupying same post again. I don't care if its GEJ, Atiku, Fashola, Oshiomole, Kwankaso, Akpabio, or even Mr Ibu that wins the presidency, all I want is good democratic leadership. I just don't want a former ruler occupying same position again. Its almost unheard of. |
The 3 questions are basically the same thing. The choice is yours. |
I have no problem with the General's age or his personality. Its a country of 170m+. He's not the only citizen capable of 'great change' in Nigeria as most of his followers promises. He has ruled before, he should let others rule too. My honest opinion. |
A lot of nairalanders are just too stvpid. If the administration can be blamed for Boko Haram's insurgence that's happening in the north, why can't same administration be commended for the swift eradication of EVD? Most people here don't even know what its like to run a country, yet they spill trash from their mouths. 2 cases of ebola has been noticed in the U.S. Whatever the outcome, it will still fall under the Obama's administration, yet you don't hear Americans blaming/praising the governor of Texas. If running a country was so easy, I wonder why Fashola, Amaechi and co didn't run for president in the last and coming election. I'm sure them APC peeps would also say sh1t bout the curb of the virus in the FCT, and about the guildlines the ministry of health disbursed to all states health commisioners during their conference. APC must be a god o; because to able to achieve all this is miraculous. Naija politics is just too weird. APC, PDP, APGA etc are the same. They just wanna milk the country. Bottomline is : whatever happens when you are the president, falls under you and your administration. Whether good or bad, its all you. |
Abeg, na who get sahara reporters? Because the kind news them dey carry ehn.... ![]() |
I can. But for 'family love'. |
Nigerian politics ![]() R.I.P to the dead. |
tobiboss:I was blown away. It is an amazing fact. I had to call my friends and tell them. They were blown away too. ![]() |
tobiboss:Oh really? |
I've known about it having no nutritional value but it hasn't stopped me from taking it. Although, this disease and chemical ish now scares me. |
The dogs did a terrible thing but it shouldn't make people castigate dogs. Dogs are not all bad. |
"Forget nails, na money I dey hammer, never going broke this MC no be Hammer" Yung6ix "You are just a pain in the butt, like injection" Phenom "Babalawo flow, things about to go spiritual. Hip-hop was dead but here's an atmosphere for miracles" Phenom "If you dey hate, jump out the window, I aint talking vista" Phenom "You niggaz picture what you like to buy, photoshopping" M.I. "Always come 1st like the 1st day of january, and you're not always there, 29th february" Yun6ix "They say love is blind. Haters do you see me here. Cause right now I think I'm feeling like my P-square. Cause all the girls wanna do me, yeah. And I don't fuss it, its comes natural; pubic hair" Yung6ix "Nigeria's living legend like Wale Soyinka; with the kind of swag Wale wants to show Yinka" Yung6ix "The only MC with an MSc" Naeto C "22, see more pus.sies than a midwife" Yung6ix "Well, give a hater an inch, he probably gon take a mile. So tell him he can go and jump into the river Nile" Pryse "I don't play pianos but I'm always on key" Ice Prince "Blame it on the Nike's; boy I just do it. Always on the street like coal tar; rest stay priceless, nig.ga that's 16 gold bars" Young Stunner "Destination heaven but I was made in hell. My life's hard, I aint gotta brag, I'ma let the scars tell." Danas "Illuminate like a mason. Kill a rapper in a hurry. To God be the glory" Danas These are the only ones that comes to mind now. But I've heard literally thousands of great punchlines by Nigerian artistes. |
Honestly didn't know there were countries still without ATMs before now. Good development for them. Hope they improve more. |
Happy suicide bruv. |
@OP, I think its disrespectful not to assign military rank to IBB as you did all other military heads of state. You made him look like a civilian or do you have anything against him or his military rank? |
Orikinla: Celine Dion does an annual big show in Las Vegas. My point exactly. She's hasn't had a record in years but she's booked to perform her hits at the casinos. |
I think the organisers of the 'Bovi man on fire' show just took advantage of a business opportunity. They knew Jarule and Ashanti were going to be in Nigeria for an independence day show in Warri (because its been advertised since easter) and probably just worked with incorporating them into their own show. A foreign artist performing in one's show is never a bad thing especially when said said artists has sold millions of records. Its good pr. Those wanting Nicki, Beyonce, Iggy and the rest may not pay the stipulated charge if at all Bovi was to bring them. How much Bovi wan make from the show to be able to attract current chart topping artists? Most people seem to forget that Celine Dion hasn't made a record in years, but she still performs till date. I also remember MJ long after his records still selling out venues etc. How's this different from that? |
Internationally, its T.I. for me. While its a tie for my Nigerian favorite between M.I. and Yung6ix. |
Had a few last month. I like it but don't really take it often. If not that it was even a gift sef, doubt I would have had it anytime soon. |
If you are not comfortable with it, talk to your girl about getting him out. Communication is key. Who knows? She might have been waiting for you to say something. |
Dude, don't download drivers or install anything. Its a simple case of the keyboard layout/language being changed. With what you just described, the keyboard layout is on 'United Kingdom' when it should be on United states. Go to control panel. Select 'Clock, language and region', then select language. It would then show you the current input language. Click on 'options', then on the 'input method' tab click on 'add an input method'. Scroll down the list and choose one of the US QWERTY keyboard layouts. Then remove the former input method and you are good to go. You are welcome in advance. BTW, with a name like 'ITgenius', I trust you are into ICT. Cheers. |
Double post. Sorry. |
Htown64: maybe eye dey turn you or na home video you for dey see all these things you mention here.Well, if you are in Delta state, you would have seen improvements in the three listed areas I gave. I'm sure you know the city shuttle buses take less and in some cases half of what other motorists charge to transit between towns e.g Warri,Ughelli, Asaba-Agbor,Sapele, Abraka etc. Places of N200 gets charged at N100, other places of N500 are usually charged N300 etc. Little wonder why lots of Deltans prefer using it. That's a win for me because it helps the average Deltan. Granted, the roads are not perfect, but they are not what most people are painting it to be here. The free medical heath care for under 5years and above 65years is a wonderful thing. My uncle works for the ministry of health and I've accompanied him on some inspection tours of hospitals in the state. To people who can afford medical bills for themselves and their families, they would easily overlook this as a good thing, but when you visit these health centres and see people bringing their parents/grandparents for free treatment, you would appreciate it. The free ante-natal care is also a plus; although its shocking to see so many pregnant young girls at the hospitals. Usually, these people would result to traditional medicine or in some cases patronising chemists in their rural areas, but because of this free medical care, they get proper medical care. Visit health centres across the state and see what it means to these families that wouldn't have been able to afford such medical care. Lastly, on education, I visited an old friend serving in the state, Ughelli south LGA, Orogun to be precise. He's a teacher at the secondary school there. When we discussed, he heaped praises at the government's provision of equipments. Kept praising the quality of equipments in the physics lab; and that even him didn't get to use some of the apparatus during his university days. He said even the corper teaching chemistry was blown away too with the chemistry lab. We also all know the remodelling the government carried out on primary and secondary schools in the state. Visited my old college in Warri recently for a basketball game, and it truly has improved in a lot of ways. Better environment, better classes, better labs etc. And the funny thing is I don't even like the man and FYI, I still think the governor could have done way more, but he impressed me in the areas of education, health care and transportation. |
