Sports › Re: Worst Ever Player To Play For Your Club? by DaGC(m): 7:44pm On Nov 17, 2014
Last season, I thought Fellaini was the worst player ever to put on the famous red shirt of Manchester. But I've seen improvements this season. He's more tactically aware and an all round better player than last season.

Others I've not really been a fan of over the years were Syvestre, Evans, Cleverly, Buttner etc.

Mr @IdrisMusty97 did bring some valid points though.

Most people attacking him are just doing so out of ignorance.

I feel for you bro, but it really doesn't bother me since my language aint even there.

Am shocked u could admit openly the OP saw nothing wrong with PTF, what about u? The same person cited as a bad manager in 1983-85 was given an unimaginably powerful position in the 1990s and YET YOU COULD NOT DIG ANYTHING UP? But in 2014 you jump over his 90's record to rate him based on ONLY 1983? Do u listen to yourself at all?
Na dis kind thing dey make me tire to dey comment on nairaland. *sighs*

I never said I have anything against the General (I said this before on a thread weeks ago), I was only trying to curb your inference in saying the OP was comparing GEJ's tenure to GMB's tenure. At the beginning of the original post, he was interested only in refuting some lies he knows he can challenge, which was probably why he wasn't interested in the PTF ish. What followed was a debate that pleased me, as both parties countered each other with facts. Its about time Nigerians see things as they are/were instead of 'hearsay'. I was actually intrigued by it all.

I don't like people based on their political affiliations. I've praised both PDP and APC public officials provided they are working.

You should have done well by proceeding to state the history of OBAS in lagos, starting from the first to the present one, which tribe they belong and in what length of years was their reign. You stated 650 years ago, but Y don't you find out the population of the yorubas to other tribes in those years.... To me, your historical analysis is inchoate until you do as I said....ok ?
I think he's actually right about Eko being named so by the Oba of Benin during the height of the Benin empire. Can't remember vividly, but I think it either meant 'War camp' or 'Slave camp'

So Mr Intelligent OP, as intelligent as you are you compare 2 years tenure with GEJ's 6 or so years? If IBB did not destroy Nigeria by taking over this wouldnt have been an argument at all. Lastly DONT EVER QUOTE CBN, DMO, etc ANYWHERE U EXPECT TO SOUND LIKE A HUMAN BEING WITH A HEAD. I keep saying many of these 80's kids are worthless in their sense of assessment, so you go and copy some nonsense from DMO and take as fact?

I observed you avoided talking about PTF under Buhari, why are you silent on that? isnt that more recent? Please educate us on his dismal performance there, am waiting
I never saw anywhere where the OP said he was comparing GEJ's tenure to GMB's tenure. He said he was gonna refute some lies told by some people on this forum, and I think he actually succeeded. He probably didn't see any lies with the PTF thing you've asked about. He was concerned with the lies about the economy, debt profile and the construction of refineries. And I think he made a valid case.

As for your problem with the DMO and CBN as a source of information, if I wanted information about your family, should I take your neighbours words about it or should I take it from your family?

I don't like the way most nairalanders always wanna get in an e-fight over political affiliations. Worse is, some of them are ignorant. E.g a couple weeks ago, a thread about the commissioning of an airport in Jigawa was on. There was this particular person that went on a rampage on the thread insulting both the President and Stella Oduah. That this airport was better than the ones she built/renovated. Called her names, yet in the source link provided, it clearly states that she(Stella Oduah) actually supervised the building of the airport and that the said FG was the one that built the cargo bays etc making it a FG/SG collaboration. Yet an ignorant person was busy tarnishing the poor lady's name all cause of political affiliations.

I also don't like the whole tribal ish. Its sickening. I believe in one Nigeria but its sad to see so many Nigerians who have no love for one another just because of their ethnicity.

Honestly don't think he can refund all salaries and allowances. Good luck to him sha.

Depressing to see some nairalanders still bringing APC/PDP ish on this matter too. Hatred is definitely a disease.
Celebrities › Re: D'banj VS Don Jazzy! Who Has Grown More Since Their Split? by DaGC(m): 1:10pm On Oct 24, 2014
If Don Jazzy had been an artiste, it might have been a near fairer comparison. That he sings a little bit doesn't make him an artiste. Dr Dre released two albums but even him sees himself as a producer. Same way Cobhams sang a few songs but everyone knows he's a producer.

Everybody screaming endorsements, its rare for producers to get endorsed. They are usually behind the scenes. Brands want the familiar faces on/using their products. That's why we don't usually get to see Dre, 7 Aurelius, Sars, Del B, Irv Gotti, Scott Storch etc getting endorsements compared to em 50Cent, Minaj, Breezy, Beyonce etc.

In my opinion, people really shouldn't count snapping pictures with other prominent people as achievements. Me snapping a picture with Tubaba or Zuckerberg doesn't really add to my account so I wouldn't count it as an achievement.

I think they are both doing good since the break up. Its not like others e.g KC Presh, Plantashun boiz etc. Both 'Banger Lee' and 'Doro Boss' are doing good.

This is not a story but an engagement in critical thinking and the dawning realities....

Since Boko Haram is faceless group, why would they need ceasefire when they could just melt into the shadows, once the game is off.
So, the real question is, what goal does the ceasefire serves?

Why set a date for the Chibok girls' release, when they could just release the girl and announce the detail when outside the range of the NA?
So, the real question is, what guarantee has the FG given the BH to announce the release? Prisoner swap? cessation of terrorism?...

As for the other stories... they will follow suit after the FG makes a new excuses, T&C and twist & turn in this unending "Indian film". That is when the reality of Chibok girls' release fantasy dawn on us.

Are your prayers that Nigerians should forget that the Vice President is complicit and that Jonathan has been protecting Ndume and other PDP members implicated in the formation, funding and running of Boko Haram?

Are you praying we forget?
No, I was only surprised he did it and was commending his zeal and effort to go that far. I know I can't have a hobby like that, that's why I said I sure hoped he was getting paid for it.
Abeg, make you no vex ehn.
Politics › Re: TERRORISM: Is This Why F.G is Opting For A Secret Trial of Ndume? by DaGC(m): 12:06pm On Oct 22, 2014
So, bros, you had to do research and dig an article of 2years ago, just so you could defame the name of another and raise awareness towards your favoured political aspirant?

I sure hope you are getting paid for this.

As for PDP's zonal policy, I have nothing to say. But I'm sure this proves that part of the north has been against Jonathan just because of his zone/ethnicity. But hiring people to kill your own brothers/sisters just to drive/ridicule a sitting public official is sickening. Nigerian politics continues to baffle me.
Politics › Re: 2015: Fashola Dismisses Speculation Of Being Running Mate To Buhari by DaGC(m): 2:37pm On Oct 20, 2014
I'm really confused here. He said they should still vote APC because experimenting with a different government might not be good for the state. My question now is 'Can't same be said about the other positions they are trying to win from the other political parties?'
