Nobody hates the north.

In short the north tribes especially the Nupes, Gwaris, Jukuns, Beroms, Kanuris and Hausas are humble people but the Fulanis through their elites have made people view the whole north as domineering. Just look at what APC has turned Nigeria political space.

How can you take over Customs, NNPC, NPA, all in the south...plus all three arms of government and almost all top public positions INEC, Police, Immigration, DSS, EFCC, FCT, NCC, NITDA, SEC...name it?

I know you northerners will feel same strong emotions if a southern president behaves the same way.

So it rubs off on everything.

Equity brings peace and unity.
so you telling me in past administration all this juicy position is not occupied by the Southerners?

Politics / Re: CAN Faults Buhari’s Presence At OIC Conference by dahirub08(m): 9:15am On Jun 02, 2019
Besti45:
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has expressed concerns over the constitutionality of Nigeria’s representation by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) meeting in Saudi Arabia. It also said the Federal Government should listen to the wise counsel of former president Olusegun Obasanjo on the alleged West African Fulanisation and Islamisation agenda instead of resorting to attacks on his personality.

It raised issues about the unconstitutionality of Nigeria’s membership of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the rush to attend its meeting by the President. In a statement issued on Saturday by President of CAN, Rev. Dr. Samson ‘Supo Ayokunle, the Christian body said the “truth is evident” for those who care to see the danger of Obasanjo’s warning except those who are either part of the agenda or are just being mischievous.

The statement signed by the Special Assistant (Media & Communications) to CAN President, Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, said it was regrettable that despite opposition and outcry over the unconstitutionality of Nigeria’s membership of the OIC, the president deemed it fit to jet out of the country immediately after being sworn in to attend such a conference as his first assignment.

“This is an organisation which states it is ‘the collective voice of the Muslim world’ and works to “safeguard and protect the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony”. Are the government officials listening to those who voted them into power at all? Is the government not heating up the polity?

“We all remember how Nigeria was smuggled into OIC during the military. We wonder if the President is ready to attend the meeting of the World Council of Churches or be asking the Vice President to represent him whenever the members meet,” it said. On the attack on Obasanjo over his position on alleged Islamisation and Fulanisation of the country, the Christian body said it was not good for the government to rein abuses or pour venoms on our former leaders whenever their thoughts are critical to the government’s action or policies.

It called on the federal government to pay keen attention to Obasanjo’s thought-provoking position rather than disparaging him. “We appeal to the Federal Government to listen to Obasanjo on his counsel over the alleged West African Fulanisation and African Islamisation agenda instead of resorting to disrespecting him and misinterpreting his noble warnings to the nation,” it said.

CAN regretted that while the likes of Obasanjo are treated as honourable statesmen and institutions in developed nations like the United States and the United Kingdom, they are antagonised and vilified at home. “This is not only unfortunate but exposes us as a people that have lost their moral values. Obasanjo sacrificed a lot for this nation in order to make it one and great! He deserves respect and his pronouncements should be treated with caution.

The truth is evident for those who care to see the danger of Obasanjo’s warning except those who are either part of the agenda or are just being mischievous. When the perceived genocide started in Southern Kaduna, how many of the suspected herdsmen involved in the barbaric attacks were arrested by the security men? How many of them have been detained and are being prosecuted?” CAN stated.

On the order to mop up legally held guns, CAN said that the federal government must be seen to be acting in the interest of the generality of Nigerians and not protecting or preserving a section of the country. CAN accused the relevant security agencies of not doing enough to deal with the alleged killings and kidnappings by bandits and herdsmen, adding it smacks of bias on the part of federal government to appear to be defending and advocating for a group being accused of spearheading the atrocious incidents.

But when Obasanjo attended your Christian meeting in Jerusalem did you insisted on it. Your hatred for Muslim is so alarming.Do you have any evidence to say it was islamisation and fulanisation agenda? Karma will catch you.

Politics / Re: 2023: Tinubu Has Hijacked The Country, North Must Produce Next President – Group by dahirub08(m): 4:26pm On May 06, 2019
DeLinguaMan:
The Arewa Consultative Youth Forum (AYCF) says that the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his cabals have hijacked over the country.

AYCF President, Yerima Shettima stated this in an interview on Monday, while lamenting that the South-West was allegedly ruling the country by proxy.

Reacting to clamours that the South-East should produce Nigeria’s President in 2023, Shettima insisted that power must remain in the North because Tinubu and his cabals have allegedly taken over the country.

He stated that North will hold unto power in 2023 after which it may decide to handover to the South-East.

Shettima told Daily Post:

http://igberetvnews.com/630868/just-in-tinubu-has-hijacked-the-country-north-will-produce-2023-president-group/

why alway North? I don't think the north deserve that allow the other regions produce the president.

Politics / Re: PDP Replies Obasanjo: We Did Not Procure Supreme Court Judgement by dahirub08(m): 1:01pm On Jan 25, 2018
Jimoh Sule Table This:

Obasanjo Cannot Impressed Me...

The killing of hundreds civilians in Zaki-Biam (Benue), UDI (Bayelsa) was an official orders from Obasanjo and till date he has not apologized to the people of those places and he refused to paid the compensation ordered by the court to the people of Benue before he left office.

Secondly, we are all in this country in 2006 under Obasanjo when a sitting DG (Stock Exchange) Mrs Ndidi Okereke disobeyed all the civil service rules and became the CHAIRMAN OF TRANSCORP, a company newly registered then where Obasanjo has immense interests.

Immediately Transcorp was registered, Obasanjo sold Nitel/Mtel, Nicon Hilton and many others to them without an open tender and bidding.

After using billions to bribed the lawmakers during his third term bids that failed, he brought Yar'adua that was obviously sick even during campaigns.

In his letter he said PMB is not healthy as part of his reasons why he should not contest, how healthy was Yar'adua if truly his advice to PMB not to contest on health ground is genuine?

In that 2007 elections, he told us that the election is do or die affair and that not even Jesus Christ can conduct free and fair election in Nigeria. That statement alone institutionalized violence and rigging in our electoral system.

Having brought Yar'adua to power, he began working for his downfall immediately Yar'adua reversed the sale of Nitel/Mtel, Ajaokuta/Itakpe, Refineries that he sold to his friends and associates.
He abandoned Yar'adua in his dying days and even asked for his resignation, a man he claimed to have loved so much in 2007.

The staggered governorship elections we have today is as a result of PDP MUST WIN SYNDROME that characterized his political ideology then as INEC was forced to disobeyed courts orders.

On infrastructure, Lagos-Ibadan highway was begging for attention when he was the president and all the FG roads in his state and the country at large were in sorry state.

He spent $16bn on power and gave us less than 3000MW that could not even be distributed to consumers.

Obasanjo is not all the way bad, but his odds are more than his rights.

I have said it before that asking any eligible Nigerian not to contest election is undemocratic, it fails all test of democratic norms and rules.

For the youths dancing over Obasanjo's advice, it is unfortunate if the former President full of odds and a man older than PMB is now your political guidance.

If PMB has failed, it is his party and Nigerians that will decide and not Obasanjo or any other individual.

With Obasanjo proposed coalition and the over 60 political parties, Nigerians has unlimited options to exercise their right in 2019 to choose who become our president.

As for me, I will be very disappointed if PMB failed to contest in 2019 because I can't afford a thief presiding over the country again.

Please don't tell me I should take the message and leave the messenger.

This is because there is no way a faithful Imam or Pastor will take an advice from Babalawo.
