To answer your question, carry over doesn't translate to rejection.
I said my case was done out of error (human factor). Provided the same transcripts shows you retaking and passing the course, u have nothing to fear.
The major issue is even the language certificate.
Thanks I appreciate, the problem is the course is not compulsory, just an elective so I didn't bother retaking it, reason why I'm bordered .

Tagging me to this kind of case seriously worries me.
We keep asking questions without doing anything.
What's there in uploading and wait for their response then email the coordinator for clarification if need arise.
Mtcheew!
You don't have to be offended, I tagged you cos I felt you have experienced similar case, more over, my transcript is not yet ready, I would have made a move before bringing it here.

Good day guys, I noticed people who have carried over courses in their transcript are being rejected one way or the other...

I have a case as regards that, during my 3OOlevel, I failed an elective course, mind you elective courses are not compulsory and require no retaking if failed.

Now that people are being rejected cos of similar case, how do I make them understand that the course I failed is not a compulsory one and that's why I didn't rewrite it?
Hope this won't pose a problem for me?
please guys I need a solution yo this.

Guten abend, Jeder.

Amidst the tension of awaiting ALs, Visa Appointments and AMs, its good to know this space can be a medium of immense comic relief as well.

@amihbkt767676: I'd just add to what the two options that've been given. Generally, it depends on school. it can be issued from the Registrar's office to Admissions and Exams and Records, just ask around what office issues it in your school.

Also, English departments (and, sometimes, Department of Linguistics) in few Nigerian institutions have standardized tests, conducted at a very cheap rate, sometimes even free, compared to the international likes of TOEFL and IELTS, which can serve the purpose of EPL as well. I heard some of these departments can even arrange the teat for an outsider (someone from outside the school), but not sure about this.

So, go to your school, ask around and know what obtains and consider the purpose for which you want to use the letter as well (what do they want exactly).

Viel Glück.
This is exactly what I did, in English dept, UI...

I paid a sum of 2k and I sat for the test, I received my certificate the second day... I believe outsiders can be allowed as well so far he has a proof of being a graduate.

Wow.
this thread is seriouly growing every minute.
Guys continue in the hustle even if you have been here for years.
Don't give up.

Tips:

*Forget about your age, it does not matter.

*Define your mission statement(motivation) and behave as if you are already seeing it come to reality.

*Please DO NOT use agents in this race. With NL, it is simple and when you do it yourself it becomes more fun and your confidence will go a long way in helping you.

*Be realistic about coming to Germany. As a student, you have limited time to work and make money. When you come here and see the standard of education you are receiving free of charge, You will appreciate it more than chasing money. Also remember that there is "Light at the end of the tunnel."

*The limited time you will work is enough to sustain you but not to HAMMER.

*Learn the language as fast as possible.

*PRAY to your creator. Tell him about your plans and see how He opens the door. He did it for me and He will do the same for you.

Awaiting more AMs.
Nice tips... what about someone in the late 20s going for another Bachelor, does the age matter or not?

I don't know know if they do for your course.. But I know they don't accept EPL for masters in economics and masters Development Economics & International Studies.
So mail your course coordinator to find out

If there deadlines are June ending/July..use nipost to send your least preferred choices then a reputable courier to send your most preferred choice/choices...or look for people who applied to same school/department and send together

I made an enquiry as regards EPL at uni Freiberg, and they replied with the picture attached.

IMO, I think this is the kind of treatment we should have from German schools at large.

Yes Chief. One thing I’ve noticed in any application is always make your documents clear and straight to the point. What ever required documents stated please upload it. Don’t try to cut corners. Someone applied on the 15 and got AL on the 26th. My Fintiba was approved same day under three hours. There is the God factor but we need to help ourselves before he can help us.
I only applied to three schools. All three are non restricted and I meet their requirements perfectly. Luckily Deggendorf offers rolling admission.
Congratulations....you are the trump.

No...and BTW, how can you be so sure the admission is coming? You have an insider helping you out?

My dear wonderful people of this forum, I applied for the International Business and Sustainability Masters program in Universitat Hamburg and submitted before the March 31st deadline but couldn't add my VPD because uni-assist had not sent it before deadline. Behold, on the 1st of April uni-assist suddenly remembered me and sent the VPD to me. I used the contact form on the University's website to send them an epistle on why I did not send it before the deadline but they didnt reply.

Its a bit difficult to remember all their words but something relating to the fact that there are far higher number of applicants for the course i intend applying.
thats exactly where the problem lies, you keep applying to restricted courses, in other words, numerous clauses...
restricted courses are courses with hi rate of applicants, where by the school places a restriction on the number of admitted applicants, let's say 40max in a session or semester.

What to do, when next you are applying, if it not clearly stated on the school site if the desired course is restricted or not, help yourself by asking the course adviser via an email, he's gonna tell you if such course is restricted or not, so that's gonna help you in deciding which to go for...

best regards

I'm currently studying applied and engineering physics at the TUM.

Studying physics is quite interesting but how interesting you'll find it all depends on your chosen area of specialisation and what you want to do afterwards. Wanna remain in academia or industry? What areas interest you? condensed matter? biomedical physics, astrophysics? energy science, etc.

I would say that getting a job after graduation wouldn't be a problem if you give it your all and know what you want. A good number of my seniors go for a PhD after an Msc, so you have to decide if research is what you want or not.

You really have to be sure that you love physics and it's what you want, if not I'll probably advise you pick something that interests you.
i sincerely appreciate your contribution bro, I love physics, but the fact that it is a research-oriented career makes me think getting a job after msc could be a little bit tasking, instead one has to put in for PhD which is totally out of my plan...
pls those seniors of yours, did they decide to go for PhD willingly or lack of job pushed them to go for it?
best regards.

A lot of us are actually on that line, wether it’s physics, electrical or electronics Engineering, computer Engineering, information Engineering, Communications Engineering. It’s somewhat the same thing, just a different branch. You can end up having the same jobs irrespective of how different the names sound. Cause what’s most important is having the basic foundation which is common between them, the rest is specialization which can be learnt on the job. Every employer knows that.
Studying physics would be good for you, I’m guessing it would be more of applied physics and you’d specialize in an aspect. Germany is a country that is lacking skilled laborers most especially in the S.T.E.M sector (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Statistics show they need about 200-400k immigrants every year for the next 7-10 years. So if you study physics and you are very well grounded, take internships while in school and speak/listen/read/write german up to b1/b2 level, with God e sure for you.
If you have a masters program which it’s duration is for 1 year and you complete it in 3 years no one would term you as a failure. That’s how good Germany is, you can make your own decisions and structure your life and schedule how you want it. Even if your school doesn’t make internships compulsory or don’t put it in your syllabus I’d advice everyone to undergo one, you can take a semester off course work and do an internship.
thanks fam, this is an eye opener..... more grace

Happy Sunday to everyone in the house, I joined this forum in less than two weeks ago, I started from page one, and now I'm up to date, in all fairness, I have learnt a lot, and I will as well advice all new comers to take their time to read from the beginning rather than asking questions that must have been treated in the past, that aside.
I noticed no one here ever mentioned applying for physics and it's related courses, which is the path I'm following, I also noticed that so many universities are offering it which leaves me with so many options to choose from, now I would love to know, what are the odds of studying such pure science course in Germany? Is it a sort after career and is it marketable? ie, what's the possibility of getting a full time job in the field after ones Msc degree? or I should follow another path in relations to science and engineering? just being curious.

Good fam, I have been following this thread from the beginning and I must confess, I have really learnt alot, but yet, I have some pressing issues which I would like to sort by asking.
I'm about to start applying for admissions in de, and I want to expand my chance by applying for both Bsc. and Msc.
I gained my uni admission via direct entry with begins from 200level, that means transcript also begins from 200L.
now my questions Are:

1. If I apply for the Bsc. with my 200L transcript, when they requested for 100L transcript for admission process, will they accept or reject it?

2. during application for the Msc. can I include my OND certificate as additional evidence of academic excellence in order to boost my chance?

3. most of the schools require an ESSAY as part of the documents to provide, please what exactly is gonna be the content of this essay? and how is it gonna be structured?

old the gurus In the house should help me out on this...

thanks as I await the response
