Precious Manganye (35) from Greenfield in Sekampaneng near Hammanskraal, Tshwane, South Africa saw a newspaper ad last month, promising quick riches, but it turned out to be activities of a fake prophet.

The poor woman was scammed of about R9,500 which is equivalent to about N230,000 in Nigerian currency

The unemployed woman told Daily Sun she was desperate and contacted the prophet, who told her what to do to get rich.

Precious said:

“He said I should do a ritual which would make me a millionaire. I took five one rand coins, cut my fingers with a razor and dropped blood on each of the coins, as instructed. I then put the bloodied coins in a plastic bag with soil and put them under my bed.”

She said the prophet told her that she would get a notification a few hours later.

“I received an SMS that seemed to be from the bank, notifying me that R2 million had been deposited in my account. I was excited but scared at the same time,” she said.

She told the prophet about the money and he asked her to send him R1 500.

“He said it was to make the money become available. I went to borrow the money from umashonisa,” she said.

Rather than getting her money, the prophet continued demanding money. That’s when she became suspicious.

Precious said:

“In total, I gave him R9 500 and wasn’t getting any money from him.”

“This was a curse. Wherever I go people get irritated by me. My family now hates me and I can’t get a job,” she said.

She said she was now helpless and felt worthless.

“I don’t know what to do any more. Where I am going to get money to pay the mashonisa and my family,” she said.

When Daily Sun contacted the prophet, he said: “I do normal traditional rituals but I don’t know who she is and have never spoken to her.

“She’s probably confusing me with someone else.”

There was mild pandemonium at the Magboro area of Lagos after passenger crushed to death by truck believed to be conveying him from the North to Lagos.

According to Punch Metro, the victim had fallen off the moving trailer, and that the driver, perhaps oblivious of what had happened, ran over him, broke his head, killing him instantly.

Eyewitnesses said the driver did not wait, however, as he appeared to have driven off from the scene.

Bystanders said that a search on the victim’s body produced a phone, with which they called the last number the deceased appeared to have spoken with.

They said the person who answered the call described himself as the victim’s relation and gave the name of the deceased as Issa, but that the respondent did not provide further information about the victim.

Bystanders later packed his spilled brains into a bag, alongside other simple personal effects found on him, including his Muslim prayer beads.

As of the time of filing this report, his corpse was lying by the side of the expressway where the incident had happened, and covered with cloth.

A few locally-woven baskets were lined up unceremoniously as a ‘C-Caution’ of sorts, to prevent road users from driving too close to the body.

There was no emergency response official or any law enforcement agents in sight when our correspondent arrived and left the scene.

A man identified as Raphael Izuchukwu, has been arrested by the Enugu State Police Command over the killing of his ailing brother Chizoba Ogbonna-Izuchukwu, 46, over rising medical bills.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ebere Amaraizu, said in Enugu on Wednesday that the incident happened on August 3, Punch Metro reports.

Amaraizu said that preliminary investigation showed that the suspect confessed to killing his brother and burying him in the early hours of August 3.

He said that the suspect claimed that the deceased had been sick for long and there was no money to continue bearing the cost of his brother’s treatment.

The spokesman said the police arrested the suspect following a tip-off.

“The sleepy and calm community of Ugwuagbo-Inyi in Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State was thrown into mourning as the news of the killing and burying of a brother by another brother was released to the members of the public.

“It was gathered that one Raphael Izuchukwu from Ugwuagbo-Inyi community had, on that fateful day, killed his elder brother identified as one Chizoba Ogbonna-Izuchukwu and went ahead to bury him.

“Full-scale investigations have commenced as the suspect is now helping the police in their investigations,’’ he said.

Popular cross dresser Bobrisky has threatened to beat up any Nigerian blogger and journalist who prey on him at events just to take unflattering shots of him for their readers.

Bobrisky who is one of the best users of Snapchat and Instagram filters thinks the bloggers are deliberately out to make him look ugly when he is a beauty to behold.

A man, who is reportedly a member of a gang who specialises in luring and robbing women they meet on Facebook, has been arrested after raping a lady in Lagos.

A press statement released by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Chike Oti, revealed how Ayo Salau Yusuf (pictured above) and members of his gang were able to lure and rape the trusting young lady before stealing her wristwatch and cash.

Sometime in the month of July, 2018, a young woman ( name withheld ) became friends with one Richard Samuel Gbenga on Facebook unknown to her that he is a rapist and an armed robber.

They interacted a couple of times, getting to know each other. However on August 4, 2018, the said Richard Samuel Gbenga invited the young woman for a dinner and she accepted. She further told him where they would meet before taking off for the dinner.

The suspect arrived at the agreed take off point in a Toyota Camry saloon car registration number JJJ 406 DL driven by one Ayo Salau (pictured above), a member of his robbery gang.

On their way to Lekki, they pulled over at a lonely spot, armed with cutlasses, they ordered her to take off clothes or be killed. Seeing she was naked, they took turns to rape her after which they robbed her of her wristwatch and cash.

The moment the hoodlums left, the victim raised alarm and gave description of their car. Police operatives attached to Maroko Division were alerted and immediately they laid ambush for the fleeing criminals.

As soon as the police operatives stopped their vehicle, the criminals took to their heels. The officers chased them and arrested Ayo Salau while his partner in crime, Richard Samuel Gbenga escaped.

The suspect had since been identified by the victim and he confessed to have committed the crime. He added that his fleeing partner recruited him for the job.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Edgal Imohimi cautions the youths especially young women to beware of people who may use the social media to take advantage of them. He assures that the long arm of the law will surely catch up with the fleeing suspect.

Veteran Senegalese-American singer Akon captured on bed with Celina Powell, cheating on his five wives.

The singer was seen in the video sleeping while the lady made the tape, probably to serve as evidence that Akon was her latest victim.

Celina has reportedly had sex with Offset, Snoop Dogg, Waka Flocka, and a host of other popular guys.

Celina, an Instagram model, has been known to expose all of her ex-rapper lovers by leaking photos of herself and them in their beds and Akon is the latest to be exposed.

Armed robbers receiving treatment at hospital in Ghana have shot four police officers who were on guard watching them.

The incident occurred at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Saturday.

According a Joy News report, the four officers were attacked at approximately 8:30PM. The injured persons are Gbedema Rudorf, Gbemu Thompson, Charles Dankwah, Nyamekye (first name withheld) and Ebenezer Danso.

One officer is in critical condition. A 24-year-old man and an eldery woman have also been injured. Four officers shot at Korle Bu One of the injured officers.

The shooting took place at the Zamamra line. Superintendent Kwasi Ofori is currently at scene of the shooting assessing the situation.



DCOP George Alex Mensah, the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander confirmed that the officers from the Accra Regional Operations Unit were caught unaware by the gunman.

He said:

"We are praying that the one who is in critical condition will also be well soon... From what we've heard it was not a shootout it was just an instant shooting at the policemen surprisingly because they thought they were going to get down and find out from the people over there what was going on, not knowing that, those people were armed already for the police officers. So, it was just a surprise shooting at the police officers."

Former vice president of Nigeria Atiku Abubakar has vowed to stay for just a single term in office if he wins his party’s ticket and is elected president in the forthcoming 2019 election.

Atiku told ThisDay in an interview published on Sunday, August 12 that to ensure he keeps his word, he would enter into and signed an agreement to vacate office after just a singular term of 4 years.


He said:

“If I am elected as the President in 2019, I give an undertaking that I would only do one term. Having said that let me remind Nigerians that Buhari also gave such an undertaking in 2011, but he is not living up to it today. My own case will be different. I am prepared to sign an undertaking to do only one term."

Atiku is reportedly taking the race for PDP's ticket in 2019 presidential elections seriously. The spokesman of Atiku Abubakar campaign organisation Segun Showunmi declared that it would be disastrous if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) failed to field his principal as its candidate in the 2019 presidential election.

Showunmi said this in a statement posted by the chairman of the campaign organisation and former Ogun state governor Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

Showunmi said Atiku deserved the presidential ticket of the PDP “because he had been deeply involved in the Nigeria’s political system and understands the peculiarity of the nation’s democracy very good.”

National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomole announced Senator Godswill Akpabio as the new APC leader in Akwa Ibom State during the mega rally in Ikot Ekpene that saw the senator defecting into the ruling party.

Oshiomole described Akpabio as an uncommon transformer for pulling a mammoth crowd to the Ikot Ekpene Stadium.

Oshiomhole said:

“Today (yesterday) is historic in the life of our party (APC). For too long, when I was governor of Edo State, even now my successor, Godwin Obaseki, we have always said that in the whole of the Southsouth, it is only in Edo State that APC has a governor.

A student of the Kogi State University, identified as Ali Umar Sharif, has been stabbed to death by a 100 Level student who is currently on the run.

The incident happened on Thursday at their residence at Transformer Junction, Egwume road, Anyigba – Sharif was said to be celebrating his birthday when an argument started between him and Santa.

The argument later degenerated into a fight and Sharif was said to have picked up a stick while Santa picked a bottle, broke it and stabbed him in the neck before fleeing the scene.

Sharif was subsequently rushed to Good Shepard Hospital, where he was confirmed dead. The whereabouts of Santa remains unknown.

One of his friends took to Facebook to mourn him. The friend wrote:

A former aide to the sacked director general of State Security Service, Lawal Daura, has accused his former boss of being a serial bribe receiver and at the same time, a man who betrayed President Muhammadu Buhari, many times for monetary gains.

The assistant, Abdulwahab Abdulrahman, a retired senior SSS official, said he left the agency because of the scale of corruption and abuse there, Premium Times reports.

“I didn’t want my children to see news of my eventual arrest on TV,” he said

Mr Daura, who led Nigeria’s domestic spy agency since 2015, was abruptly fired on Tuesday by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo after he ordered a siege on the National Assembly.

The siege, which many Nigerians have characterized as a coup d’état, startled a nation that has struggled in the past two weeks to keep pace with rapidly unfolding political stunts ahead of next year’s general elections.

The cordon saw gun-wielding masked men blockading the federal parliament building in central Abuja, denying access to lawmakers and legislative staff. It was lifted several hours later, but only after Mr Daura was summoned by Mr Osinbajo and summarily dismissed. The acting president said the exercise did not receive authorisation.

Many Nigerians believe the move was to facilitate the removal of Bukola Saraki as senate president as punishment for his leaving the ruling APC last week.

But while such plot failed, it helped further galvanize public outrage against Mr Daura, a controversial figure who in the past three years managed to create for himself a notorious label as an outlawed official responsible for illegal detention, clampdown on dissent and disobedience of court orders.

Now, his former associate, Mr Abdulrahman, whom some described as Mr Daura’s former “right-hand man”, has spoken out exclusively to PREMIUM TIMES on what he said was Mr Daura’s darker side Nigerians never knew. Mr Abdulrahman served as special assistant to Mr Daura until 2016.

Besides corruption, he said Mr Daura repeatedly betrayed President Buhari.
Messrs Abdulrahman and Daura were members of the Buhari campaign’s security committee in the buildup to 2015 election. The committee was led by the current Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau.

Mr Abdulrahman said he served as the secretary of the 25-member committee.

“I noticed immediately we started work that for Lawal Daura it is simply about the money,” he said. “In one of earlier meetings he suggested that we should request for one billion to start work. Where will Buhari see one billion to give us?”

Premium Times could not independently verify the claim. Mr Daura could not also be reached as he remained in detention Wednesday.

Some of his aides said Mr Abdulrahaman was bitter after being sacked by Mr Daura, and cautioned his claims be treated with restraint. Mr Abdulrahman denied being sacked; he told this newspaper he left of his own volition.

But while several other sources in the security agency confirmed most of the allegations against Mr Daura, they told PREMIUM TIMES both men worked together for years either for good or for bad till they parted ways in 2016.

Still, they said the revelations, especially with Mr Abdulrahman waiving any claim to anonymity, provide a rare opportunity for Nigerians to get a glimpse of the illicit practices at a security agency that should be one of the nation’s most revered, and how corruption and partisanship have stunted the department’s potential.

Before, after 2015 election

Mr Abdulrahman said in the course of their work and as part of the transition team after Mr Buhari won the election, Mr Daura “kept producing fake reports about (Ita) Ekpenyong (his predecessor), but we never knew what he was targeting,” until late.

He said Mr Daura soon developed the habit of going to Mr Buhari’s influential cousin, Mamman Daura, to report Mr Ekpenyong and give details of what the election committee was doing.
That way, he said Lawal Daura warmed his way into Mamman Daura’s heart. He also said despite coming from the same neighbourhood in Katsina state, Mr Buhari never knew Lawal Daura until 2015.

“He was introduced to the president by the late Senator Mustapha Bukar,” he said.

He also said Mr Daura was never a favourite of President Buhari because of his “antecedents”, suggesting he was somehow imposed on him by Mamman Daura and others close to him.

“When he was appointed he kept putting pressure on me and Maikano, the current AO (admin officer) at the presidential villa to come and work with him as SA. He assured me that what I will get under him, I cannot get even as a Minister,” Mr Abdulrahman said.

Mr Maikano could not be reached to comment on the claim.

Mr Abdulrahman said Mr Daura feared the DG job may not be very easy since he had never worked at the headquarters and was not an operational staff.

“He said he wants the two of us to stabilise the service for him,” he quoted Mr Daura as saying. Mr Abdulrahman said he eventually agreed the offer after much pressure.

He claimed as the work commenced, “Daura was receiving money from everyone including the president’s enemies”.

Mr Abdulrahman said when they resumed, they always closed late at work, often at about 2am. “What are we doing was mostly: receiving Ghana must go filled with cash brought by enemies of government to him,” he said somewhat confirming he was part of whatever happened at the time.

“The rate of corruption on that fourth floor was too much and the president doesn’t deserve this,” he said. “He will go and get information on plans for (Senate president) Bukola (Saraki) and then leak it to him,” he said.

Similar allegation emerged Tuesday after Mr Daura’s removal, with many administration supporters accusing him of working for Mr Saraki against the government.

On Wednesday, Mr Saraki said claims he compromised Mr Daura in respect of the National Assembly siege constituted an “insult on the intelligence of Nigerians”.

Campaign posters of Reverend King who is currently incarcerated in prison after being sentenced to death by hanging – have began to flood the streets.

The convicted prisoner is said to be running for the presidency in the 2109 election under the platform of the Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA).

The General Overseer of Christian Praying Assembly (CPA), was was arraigned on September 26, 2006 on a six-count charge of attempted murder and murder.

He was sentenced to death by hanging in 2007 by Justice Joseph Oyewole at a Lagos High Court tried for murder of a church member, Ann Uzoh.

The judgement was upheld by the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division and finally affirmed by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta of the Supreme Court in 2016.

But according to a Brazil-based church leader, Rt Rev Ernest King, many Nigerians have been going to the prison in Sokoto to mount pressure on Rev King to come and contest and deliver the country.

According to a report by Newsmakers in February (during Rev. King’s birthday celebration), Ernest King said:

“This is the man that has solution for Nigeria. He prophesied about Nigeria’s case 18 years ago, that the country will come to a stage where there will be no solution. He said that he would be somewhere resting and they would bring the issue of Nigeria to him for him to solve for them.

“That was how they went to the prison about two months ago pleading that he should come and take over Nigeria. He had prophesied this 18 years ago.

“If Rev King should be allowed to handle Nigeria under 5 years, Nigeria will be one of the best countries in the world.”

He added:

“This is the man that has solution to every problem on Earth, but Nigerians don’t know what God gave them. The wicked and occult people want to kill him, but it’s impossible. As he told them in the Court on that day, there’s no rope on Earth that can enter Rev King’s head.”

Eight Nigerian men arrested in Thailand alongside six others for engaging in online romance scam, are currently being paraded by the Police in the Asian country.

The men reportedly engaged in swindling nearly Bt2 million from Thai women in Ratchaburi, Samut Sakhon, Phitsanulok, Chon Buri and Bangkok’s Dusit district.

Deputy Tourist Police chief Maj-General Surachate Hakpan told a press conference on Monday, August 6, that the investigation began after complaints from victims – each of whom wired between Bt300,000 and Bt500,000 to the gang.

He said that the Thai suspects – including at least four Thai women - aided the gang by opening bank accounts and withdrawing cash for the foreign suspects.

Despite the Thai suspects’ claim of innocence, he said they would face a charge of public fraud and abetting trans-national crimes, which is punishable with up to 10 years imprisonment.

In another news, just yesterday, another Nigerian man identified as Chinedu Victor Okeke was arrested in Thailand for drug possession. His arrest came after a tip off to the Police, but not until when he led them in a wild chase.

But the police and soldiers in hot pursuit caught him and brought him back to his house.

A search found that the suspect had hidden 4 bags of powder cocaine, weighing 2.5 grams, behind an electrical switch. Within a box containing imported alcohol was hidden 12 bags holding 11.3 grams of cocaine cubes and 27 tubes of the same drug weighing 271.6 grams.

A man identified as Johnson Amos 48, from Ekpene Obo in Esit Eket, and his wife Uduak Johnson, have been accused of chaining and torturing their children after they were labelled a witch and wizard by a Pastor.


The Child Right And Rehabilitation Network (CRARN) came to the rescue of the children after they got an anonymous tip from a concerned citizen who feared that the kid might die of hunger and torture.

According to reports, the father hardly gave the kids food and water as punishment.

"We've not been going to school for more than a year now. My stepmom, Uduak Johnson took us to many churches to confirm whether we're witches or not but a pastor told her that we were not witches.

She said that the pastor is a liar. She took us to another church and the prophet there said we were witches. When I denied it she used stone and hit my head, blood-soaked my whole body and I fainted. " said twelve years old Abasiofon, a primary 4 female pupil of Government Primarily School, Iko Eket" the older son said

CRARN got a tipoff from an anonymous caller who pleaded with them to come immediately and rescue the children otherwise they'd die of hunger and torture.

"When we arrived their father and stepmother said they were prepared to go to jail instead of owning the "demonic children "

"Mr Amos, who currently lives in Iko Eket, in Eket Local Government Area, wrote a declamation denouncing his children. The case has been lodged with the Nigeria Police Force, Eket Area Command, while the two hapless kids have joined other kids in the shelter, the CRARN Children Centre, Eket."

Mr Johnson Amos in a written letter handed his children over to representatives of CRAN center to be registered at the Eket police station and be taken care of by CRAN staff.

Popular Nigerian female singer Chidinma in trouble with promoter Romaric Boco, aka Air Dubai, over an alleged breach of contract for a show in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

According to Sunday Scoop, Boco said after agreeing and collecting some money for the show, Chidinma signed another contract with some other persons for the same show and refused to refund him.

The promoter said:

“I have reported her to the Interpol in France, Benin and the Nigerian police. I paid her N800, 000 in advance and also gave her manager, Rasheed, N200, 000.”

In the contract letter, it was agreed that Air Dubai Entertainment would pay Chidinma N1.8m for her service to perform at Abidjan on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Mix Night Club.

The letter also stated:

“The total sum of N1.8m will be paid in two installments. The sum of N900, 000 will be paid to Chidinma prior to signing the contract agreement and N900, 000 will be pay to her at the Lagos airport when she is going for the show.”

When Sunday Scoop contacted Chidinma’s manager, Rasheed Ogunsanwo, he described Boco as a fraudster, insisting that all he said were blatant lies.

He added:

“The event was done and Chidinma performed at the show in Abidjan. I have videos and pictures of the show. The people, who contacted Boco to hire Chidinma for the show, asked for a refund when they discovered he wanted to scam them. But he ran away with the money they gave him. I was in the loop from the start. I can give you the promoters’ numbers.”

Davido’s girlfriend, Rowland Chioma's admission status at Babcock University is yet to be confirmed as the management of the school has refused to provide information on that.

According to Sunday Scoop, the school’s Director of Communications and Marketing, Joshua Suleiman, when contacted, said it was not possible for him to know every student in the school.

He stated:

“I don’t know the person; you know I cannot know every student. But I can give you the number of the students’ development staff; I am not sure they will also know her unless they find out. I manage the school’s information, but we have about 10,000 students. Even lecturers don’t know all the students in their class.”

The Associate Vice-President, Students’ Development, Dr. Williams, who Joshua said was in the best position to have Chioma’s details, also referred this reporter to the Registrar’s Office.

She stated:

“It is only the registrar that can give you such information. If you go to our website, you will find their phone numbers there.”

Babcock University refuses to provide information on Chioma’s admission status

Upon calling a number found on their website, a young woman who identified herself as Funke, confirmed Chioma as a student at Babcock University.

She said:

“Oh, Chioma! The girl dating Davido! She is our student, but the person to give you more information about her is not here. I will give you the director of communications’ number (Joshua). He is in the position to tell us to give out the information you need.”

The director of communications later insisted that he would make inquiries and get back, but he didn’t.

He said,

“Someone has told me they know her, but I will like to find out her department. I don’t know whether she is still a student or not. When I find out before the close of work today, I will let you know. Like I said earlier, I don’t know if there is anyone by that name in the university.”

So today was one of the most scariest day of my life, it might be nothing to people that have experienced something like this before, but mehnnnnn I don't pray to go through it again, so today being Saturday o, I closed from work and decided to live the island a bit earlier than normal cos of the mainland traffic o..

So I took a bike to lekki phase one gate and decided to take a bus going to Obalende, as soon as I was about to enter a strange looking man quickly rushed in too, he had one normal eye and the second one was totally white, but I didn't suspect anything thinking he was a normal passenger o.

I sha came down from the bus and was looking for a bike to take me home, but because of the traffic and all, it was really hard to find a bike, so I just stayed in small dark corner cos I was tired, I just kept on looking for a bike, all of a sudden someone from no where just tapped me on my shoulder..

Lo' and behold it was the same man I saw at lekki o, my body became cold, I felt like fainting.. My eyes started closing for no reason, the little sense in me made me walk away... And the next thing he said is.. "I have been following you, now look into my eyes" ..i looked at him and I was almost hypnotized...

All I was saying was "Jesus " then I stepped away again he followed me and asked me to bring my hand, I was just looking at him and I was about to do so, then it felt like someone else touched and I regained myself, that was how I shouted. "leave me alone evil man, am I the only one in the whole of Lagos " he moved closer and said..

And he said, anything I say you should do Oya do it now.. I just laughed and told him he was a fool and he has failed.. Then right in front of me he beat his chest and all of a sudden he was no where to be found, but I noticed people were looking at me like I was talking to myself, as if they couldn't see who I was yelling at, that few minutes was scary as hell, and all could think of was why he followed and what he wanted to do with me, cos he obviously didn't want to steal..

Nollywood actress, Funke Adesiyan took to her Instagram page earlier today to narrate a bitter experience she had with Fulani Herdsmen on her farm in the year 2016.

In her post, the actress talked about the zeal the average Nigerian youth possess to excel, but their efforts are being frustrated by the government.

At the time the farm was being invaded, she was outside of the country for another business deal, but upon hearing the sad news, she fainted immediately and had to be rushed to the hospital.

I remember this day 2016. 3 months prior, I'd just acquired 5 hectares of land at Ijebu Omu for watermelon farming. I was in such a high spirit looking forward to planting the new hybrid seedlings that had just surfaced. I was sleeping at a room apartment I rented in the village so I could be closer to farmland.

We went to work. Cleared the land, sunk the borehole, layed the pipes for irrigation so water can be sufficient as watermelon feeds hugely on water and environment. We planted. I left the farm maintenance to the farm manager.

I was so tired that I needed to take a holiday so bad but Ranti, my friend who just struck a deal with a Nigerian-Indian company who needed tomato suppliers who can be consistent was waiting.

So we headed to Iseyin from Ijebu to see the expansion on our Tomato farm.I stopped in Ibadan on my way from Iseyin to have a drink with my constituents and my favourite Amala Turaya at Yemetu.

On getting to Lagos, I had only 5days to prepare for my China trip as my partners from Iran and Pakistan wanted us to tour Hunan, a province popular for it's tea Cultivation. As a "soji girl" that I am, I exploit all money making avenues around me. I needed to shop for my milk and Sardines that I will sell in China to cover my hotel bills. (Ogbon lo gba)

So I spent one whole month in China from Shanghai to Yiwu to Hunan to Sixuan to Pinyin to Hanzhou and finally Guangzhou where I met my beautiful Abuja babe, Mobola. I was tired and drained mentally and physically. I had a week stopover in Dubai which I'd to cancel cos I just wanted to be in the strong embrace of my #ejika the best man any woman can ask for.

As I turned my phone on at Dubai airport, text messages came in from my watermelon farm manager that #fulaniherdsmen had come into my farm and their cows had destroyed our watermelon that was due for Cultivation oh how i cried! I collapsed right there at Dubai airport. I was rushed to the emergency hospital and was on admission for the 5days I didn't want to spend! (Man proposes....)

The governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano has awarded a compensation fund of N500,00 to the bereaved family of a woman and daughter that were killed during a flash flood on a rice farm in the State.

The deceased, whose name was given as Mrs. Achebe, was said to have drowned alongside her daughter during a downpour, Punch Metro reports.

While commiserating with the relations of the deceased, the governor presented the sum of N500,000 to the family.

He assured that the state government would be present during the burial.

Obiano also visited the rice farm which irate villagers allegedly destroyed following the death of the woman and her daughter.


Condemning the act, Obiano appealed to the people to stop taking the laws into their own hands in such circumstances.

He said,

“Stop taking the laws into your hands. You should report such matters to the appropriate authorities for prompt action.”

The governor also paid condolence visits to the families of late Mr. Michael Ejimofor Okolie of Ubaru Village, Igbariam; and late Mr. Godwin Ezinwa of Achalla-Uno, Nteje, who also died in flood disasters.

He assured them of government assistance in the burial of their loved ones.

Speaking on behalf of the family, the traditional ruler of Nteje, Igwe Rowland Odegbo, thanked the governor for what he called “running a responsive government.”

The ruling All Progressives Congress has given Senate president Bukola Saraki forty-eight hours to respond to the query of breaching article 21 of the party’s constitution, Guardian reports.

Saraki on Tuesday announced he has left APC to join the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), saying his new party has learnt more from defeat than APC learned from victory.

In reaction to his defection, the National Working Committee of the APC has asked Saraki to respond with why disciplinary action should not to be taken against him for breaching article 21 of the constitution of the party.

The party in a resolution signed by its National Secretary, Mai Malla Buni said the Senate president had flouted the laws of the party with his activities.

APC alleged that the senate president “encouraged and facilitated by providing an enabling environment for the defection of some senators who are members of the APC to the other opposition parties.”

The statement stated:

“That you have deliberately refused to screen nominees for appointments submitted by Mr President who are members of the party from being confirmed by the senate. This has caused untold embarrassment and ridicule to the party and the government.

“That as a follow up to the above, the Kwara State Governor, who is known to be your staunch supporter, had made public pronouncements suggesting that he will decamp from the party as an indicator to your formal defection. That you have organized a public rally in your state where members of the party urged you to decamp to PDP.

“That you used the office of the Senate President to cause avoidable delays in the budgetary process and passage of the appropriation act into law thereby frustrating the implementation of the party’s manifesto and programs and frustrating the APC led Federal Government in the actualization of the campaign promises of the party.”

The APC also accused Saraki of frustrating the party’s efforts to reconcile aggrieved members and encouraged the formation of an association which sought to impersonate and pass off the name of the party.

“Converting the guest house of the Senate President to meeting points and presiding over anti-party activities in the guest house; thereby, encouraging defection of senators from the party, presiding over such meetings and compiling a list of the said defectors including some without their consent,”

“Procuring joint letter of decamped members from the APC and reading same on the floor of the senate including some who did not accede to defecting thereby causing embarrassment to the party.” APC said.

A female Presidential candidate of the National Interest Party, Eunice Atuejide, has taken to her social media timeline of twitter to condemn feminism.

In her post, the presidential seat aspirant made it clear to her followers that she is not a feminist and will rather not support the movement.

She went ahead to give a personal definition of who a feminist is and made it known that she will not support any of such.


She writes:

The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has launched a new 'aircraft' to carry out evangelism in Lagos state.

It is what can actually be considered as a land craft but was designed to look like an aircraft that doesn't fly.

The newly acquired land craft was dedicated by Pastor Amadi Chidozie, the Lagos State coordinator of The Lord's Chosen Church.

According to the church, the land craft was constructed and launched in order to aid the members during evangelism and publicity.

Members of the The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries have been heavily criticized by Nigerians in time past for their “aggressive” mode of publicity and this is just another proof that they are not planning to stop anytime sooner.

Just last month, members of the church in Warri, Delta State were seen holding an ‘acrobatic’ form of publicity in the city. They were captured displaying different characters including those who sat on the wet ground.

In other publicities, members of the church have been spotted dressed as Spiritual Soldiers with the theme of waging war against every evil across the land.

A Nigerian man took to Facebook to give a narration on how a lady who called his dad an evil man while he was selling under the sun at a market in Aba, eventually remained in the same spot she was years back.

The young man said his father was struggling some years back and the woman made fun of him for his situation and even cursed him that he will always remain in the same situation.

She continued that sun will beat my Dad, even rain will fall on him all the days of his life in that market until he dies.

My Dad wanted to hit her, and I calm him down.

That night my Dad was angry at me.

He was mad.

He refused to talk to me even when we got home.

After I asked him why he was behaving cold towards me, he opened up to me that he was disappointed in me.

How I stood and watch a girl insult him when I could have beaten the living day out of her.

I told him I'm sorry.

I didn't agree, he busted at me.

Called me names.

I went outside to cry.

I was confused.

I'm not a violent person, but I almost lost it that day.

My Dad and I struggled during Christmas season, made some money and he left that market.

Today, I passed through that route only to find that girl inside rain selling tomatoes, pepper and kerosene.

I can't forget her face.

I walked forward.

Stopped her a friend's shop and asked her what happened to the lady behind.

why is she no longer in her shop.

I was told the shop wasn't her own. She was managing it with a woman and the woman died some months back.

She couldn't afford the shop rent anymore and the shop was sold off to another person.

Formally she sells rice, beans, and so many other things.

Now, she is just selling tomatoes, pepper and kerosene.

Rain was showering a little bit and it was falling on her mercilessly.

I was pleased!

I never planned to buy anything from the market, but because I wanted to get back at her, I went to the ATM in the market and withdrew 1k.

I went to her shop and told her to sell kerosene for me.
(I have almost 4 liters of kerosene at home.)

She bent down.

I asked her if she knows me and she nodded her head.

I smiled.

"You know my Dad now has a shop?" I asked.

She didn't reply.

"He no more sells aba made shoes anymore." I continued.

She started hurrying up to sell the kerosene.

"You know, he is no longer in the rain, even sun doesn't come close to his shop."

She filled the kerosene and gave it to me.

I told her to sell tomatoes for me with pepper.

I wasn't done reading her.

She was packaging it, and I continued,

" He doesn't just have a shop, he now has two shops. Isn't that wonderful...."

She became irritated. her cheek bones almost found it's way out of her skin.

"My Dad ehn, the juju he is using is very strong. I'm very grateful." I didn't retract.

She quickly tied everything and handed it over to me.

I chuckled, looked her in her tired eyes, and she diverged.

I sighed.

Walked a distance, turned back and my eyes met with hers. it was filled with dismay.

I have been everywhere trying to be successful. I have been building my brand and achieving my goals as much as I can. Big Brother gave us a platform and I have been trying to build on that platform to achieve everything God has placed in my heart.

Has it been hard building your brand on that big platform?

The brand I am trying to build is not one that would be built overnight. What I am building requires a lot of hard work and groundwork, and a lot of determination and commitment. So far, so good! I have been working hard to bring that dream to reality.

As much as I am working hard to bring make sure everything turns out fine, I have come to understand that by the time you get to the end of a destination, you will realise that there is another destination. Basically, I am a work in progress. I am grateful for how far I have come, but there is more work to be done.

After the Big Brother show, was there a time that you felt like there were things you should have handled better; what was that thing you wished you could take back?

What makes a man is him being able to accept responsibilities for his actions; whether good or bad. I don’t think I should have done anything differently or take anything back. I have always felt like everything I did in the house was done with the same sound mind. I don’t have any regrets about whatever happened in that house. I am so happy that for those 11 weeks I was in the house, I was myself.

Let’s talk about you and Anto. There was the first and second coming. There was also the kissing moments that everybody saw. Was that kiss real? Or you were acting?

Acting? The only time I acted while in the house was one of those times when we had to carry out a particular task. People felt I acted because I may have been blessed to know how to use words. My experience in the media spanned over 10 years, where I am used to words day in day out.

Apart from being in the media, I read a lot and I had to learn from people. I think people just finally got to see me on television as opposed to hearing my voice on radio. Whatever happened in that house was not an act. It was real from day one till I left.

Recently, we had the gist about Alex and Khloe having a big fight over Leo when he celebrated his birthday. In fact, we learnt that Khloe deleted Leo’s pictures on her instgram page afterwards. What exactly is going on between the two girls?

People just like blow things out of proportion. All the housemates are on the same Whatsapp group and we all talk regularly. There was never a time that this issue came up in the group. Alex and Khloe are in that group.

Both of them talk in that group. It does not make any sense to me. People are very quick to add up one or two things to paint the picture they imagined. I won’t say they are best of friends, but they have mutual respect for each other. I don’t think there is any snatching of Leo gist anywhere.

Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has implored Nigerians to be hopeful on the plans of President Buhari to build a new Nigeria and that the pains that are being experienced at the moment are just the price to pay for a better tomorrow.

Aregbesola, who stated this at the weekend, while hosting the Committee on South-West Youth and Women Sensitisation Programme, led by wife of the Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Hajia Mariya Buhari Munir, appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the Buhari-led administration.


According to a report by The Guardian, He told the group that was on a courtesy visit to him that despite the challenges Nigerians are faced with, there is still light at the end of the tunnel because they have a president who can be trusted.
Aregbesola said:

“For whoever that has grievances with the present Federal Government, I want you to know that it is not always easy to correct an already damaged situation. It is obvious that there are challenges and pains, but I want us to see it as the challenge of building a new Nigeria.

“We should accept the hardships we are facing now as the price to pay for building a new Nigeria of our dreams; that country where everything will work the way it ought to is what our president is working hard to achieve. We shall get there and we shall all be better for it.

“We cannot give up on Nigeria at this time, we are almost there, let’s have faith in our president; we can do it and I know it is possible. Nigeria is redeemable and the process has already started with the present administration.

The governor said the rot inherited from the past administration could not be hurriedly fixed in one or two years, explaining that the nation would have experienced serious doom if the present administration had not berthed when it did.

He described Buhari as a partner in progress and a pillar of strength and support to many states that could not finance themselves, citing the various forms of assistance given to them in the form of bailouts, the Paris Club refund and others, which helped them to find their feet.
