Harddiskng:Lol. Remember God's bankers have spoken. The money has entered G-mail. ![]() Since people nor wan get sense, make God's bankers dey chop their money. ![]() |
osuofia2:There is no sense of citizenship or common good. People see things more from the perspective of personal achievement. A 100 billion Naira govt/public asset has no value to an average 9ja compared to 100k personal person property. |
emapeteum:Don't mind that person you quoted. The Alaafin must have been the guest of honour. It's just poor protocol. Chief Igbinedion as the celebrant perhaps needed to get up to go the alter later. So, it made sense for him to sit near the edge, so the Alaafin wouldn't need to be getting up often. It could have been better arranged from the beginning. Edo people would not disrespect an August visitor like the Alaafin. People just say nonsense online. |
manuelkel:People forget that many of these so-called African food came from South America. The Portuguese were the first to bring melon seeds to Oba of Benin as a present. The Benin called it ogi-isi. Basically foreign or Tokunbo seeds. Today, people call it egusi. Cocoa and others. Plantain is even an Asian plant originally. |
Biodun556:That is at Chief Igbinedion's house, not Alafin's palace. Igbinedion put the Christian symbol there, Igbinedion is one of the very few Benin chiefs who was able to complete their entire chieftaincy celebration rites, in the 1970s. The full ceremony/rites is so rare that the BBC came to document it back then. He achieved the Iyahien status of full title rites. It would cost around 10 billion Naira to do today. Since chieftaincy in Benin is not given because of wealth, only few who get it have such big money. Those who would normally have the money to do it, don't qualify for chieftaincy in Benin tradition. Completing that full rite made Oba grant Chief Igbinedion the rights to use certain symbols you see in his house. |
Raf4:So, you don't know that vibration is important to accommodate load, and even weather changes? There is no way you will not have some vibrations. The only difference is whether it's a potentially dangerous one, or a normal/expected level. Except you have never walked along those narrow bridges while cars are also passing through it. I have witnessed it both locally and internationally. |
Kobicove:I wonder o. Dem wan spoil lala's business. Na Wale shark tomato we go hear next. Orisirisi. Upon OP Mum's years in this Aye, she never touch serpent tomato. Now, na modern world people wan tiss her. No wonder good Mama said no ooo. ![]() |
Jomonix:Suspension cables help to reduce vibrations. Vibrations play a major role in the durability and integrity of such structures. Simple mechanics indicate that clearly. When we pass through old-fashioned bridges, we feel the vibrations. Experienced engineers will know better than me that cables can vibrate on their own easily. So they will have added the means to dampen the cables' intrinsic vibrations. The cables look good too. |
SeeWahala:Weyrey! ![]() Who has ever tried and confirmed it? How dem take know? |
My dear UwaBeyonce, happy birthday. Nothing do you. Her collabo with 9ja artists and love for 9ja fashion show she's more 9ja than some entities that roam this "We hail thee" place. From all levels of society. |
busariabeyx24:I hope after sending the wife to school (usually to study nursing), in Canada, her family will not use juju, lies and everything to scatter the marriage. They do it so they can leech on their now single, fairly good-earning sister/daughter. 9ja na case o. |
1kinggy:I pray for the Canada man that the wife he married from this family is not like her brother. Otherwise, the man will soon hear "are you the first to bring a woman to Canada?" |
jetguy:The guy just wants responses. Na hoax. No sane adult would truly harbour those feelings OP expressed. Otherwise, that in-law in Canada is very unfortunate. |
franchasng:Wayne Rooney's spec na grandmothers. And he's packing money as a pundit and podcaster. ![]() |
Professor822714:Lol. I am not looking for any o. I mean, it's the only place I might have dated from, decades ago. Especially Brazil. Not Escobar's daughter from Medellin . |
Angelfrost:Eiya, Bill Clinton, John Major, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the best of the oyinbos who cheated nko? They are black but painted themselves white. ![]() Cheating is colour blind, dude. Everybody has the right to date who they want. No biggie. |
What's the big deal? I never dated black women of any type much in the past. I never ever thought of dating black women from USA or Caribbean. Latin America perhaps. I have very sound reasons for it. This American woman probably has her reasons whether you like it or not. So, I see nor biggie here. Everyone has a choice to make. |
Clairvoyancy:Dude, there is no "magic centre" in this one o. No Roger to pass. This nor be let my people go. ![]() |
All Things Bright and Beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful: The Lord God made them all. |
hoygift:Very wise old woman. It doesn't matter why she's a single mum. She likely has too much baggage going with her. The trauma of divorce, widowhood or being abandoned by her first man or baby daddy. Either she believes life is unfair or that men are scum. She's with you for the benefit for her and her child only, not commitment to build a life with you. You are not a firefighter to be quenching fire set by others or circumstances in her life before meeting you. For those saying it is fake, I have seen several real life cases that would sound less credible than this story if I hadn't witnessed them. |
gbadexy:See JAMB question. The woman's hope is that her main man should not find out. She's racking her brain how to convince the real guy it was a skit. Or will tell her real odogwu "na one infatuated guy dey mumu himself." ![]() Fear women. The real guy might be abroad or working in another city. The girl just found this guy convenient to hold body since. He was dating himself. |
Lithiumite:Yes, Aisha family's said the ambulance, LASEMA and others were there relatively early BUT they didn't enter the water to find Aisha. It was around 2 pm that her family got local divers/fishermen to search for her, but had to pay 400k or so. |
correctguy101:Those big guns nor be fools. Direct actions after the scandal will make too many people suspects. After a year in jetair, everybody will forget him. Dem fit finish the last part quietly there. The guy too do na. He should just have fled since. |
PlasmaTV:Na so Boko take start. To make boko not to be haram, women must separate from men. Ok o. Like play like play. Soon, fanatics will forbid their daughters from going to mixed universities. Will there be compulsory hijab and curfew after lecture hours? |
ACL injury nor be joke o. For any performance sport, na gbenge. |
1972xy:See weyrey! Which one be botanical journalism again o. ![]() So person wey study Animal Husbandry go be animalistic journalist, abi? So, they will soon have " Musa species/plantain" abi amala journalist. Person nor wan laff but Nairalanders nor go gree. ![]() |
Ah! Far and wide no man to blame for it. Wait, feminists will soon blame local men for being too weak to prevent women disgracing themselves. ![]() Abeg, who has that Didier Drogba meme, chuckling with his eyes closed? ![]() Women supporting women (WSW) in the mud. |
Solsix:Yar'Adua was a good person, but not dynamic enough and did not understand 9ja well enough. Had Yar'Adua spent full 8 years, our notion of him would have been more negative. Leaders who die early in office get away with more regard than they deserve. Just like Murtala Mohammed who destroyed the Nigerian civil service. There were many good candidates to replace OBJ from the North, if he had no 3rd term ambition and not too vindictive. The warped idea of "formidable candidate, strong man" led to Buhari becoming president. How good was he? We need young, dynamic leaders who can build institutions. Even as of today, why can't Zulum, Fashola, Adeshina, Arunma Oteh, and others be president? Yes, OBJ set up some of the most important institutions we have today: EFCC, NAFDAC, etc. No living Nigerian knows 9ja better than him. Yet, he let personal grudges and loyalty to his late former military regime 2ic to cloud his judgement. |
Demigod22:Lol. In the West, there is social safety net provided by the govt. If they get really badly broke, they can get housing and basic support to live. It's only that they have lived a luxury life that basic life may seem like poverty. But millions of Europeans and Americans live such basic life. It's 9ja that has no govt social support. |
madridguy:Some European footballers also go broke after retirement. Bad investment, gambling, substance abuse, financial illiteracy, huge tax arrears bills, demanding family members, etc. Despite that even an average European bank can give you good advice on safe investment of your money as a customer. Never mind the many accountants in private practice everywhere. They can help understand the tax implications of investments. Mike Tyson once went broke. Many American sportsmen and musicians too. Clubs should start supporting players right from the Academy level on managing money. The FA too. Footballers' Union must introduce such programmes too. After retirement, many ex-footballers said they still had good money but became depressed. They had only known football since age of 6 or 7. Suddenly they were at home. The camaraderie of fellow players and the bubble ended. They could not just go out freely. So, locked at home, some turned to alcohol and online gambling. These days, footballers do their badges before, start a tangible businesst or make inroads into punditry before before retirement. |
Shimbo96:Ah! You nor get joy o. Maybe she added it to her eyelashes, as far as the person you quoted is concerned. ![]() Where else can they add all that belly fat is not her behind? |
