Politics › Re: Tinubu Recounts How Obaseki Frustrated Establishment Of Obstetric Fistula Centre by Dancebreaker: 8:14pm On Feb 12, 2025 |
These matters are not very straight. Obaseki could have been angling for a bigger Federal government presence in Edo than a fistula centre.
A fistula centre is just for one gynaecological/obstetric condition (or similar conditions), though important but needed more in areas with high underage marriages/pregnancies/births, poor ante-natal care, etc. Where fistulas are more common. I would have thought improved regular obs/gynae, antenatal and family planning interventions in modern hospitals would address that. |

Dvdpity: Ukraine has been well buttfuvked, by USA, UK and EU lapdogs....but the truth is that, after this war. Ukraine will become very weak. And internal strifes will totally end it. They are economically destroyed, politically devastated, and heavily corrupted. Plus a lot of social vices will potentially arises from different warlords who will battle for whatever that's left of Ukraine. After the war ends, broken "promises" of EU and NATO membership will really cause loss of confidence in Ukrainian people. They might even weirdly move closer to Russia, realising that culturally, historically and religiously, they have always been closest to Russia. And that the West are an unknown entity who can't keep their promise. That the West played them against Russia, with an eye on abundant Ukrainian resources. Pro-Russian groups in Ukraine could exploit this narrative for years to come. |

is it chidinma that made them bad? You see, self-preservation is the first thing. Hatred can make some people do anything. Their hate has now turned to venom as they inadvertently did God's work to elevate her, when they meant the opposite. Those hating obviously don't give a hoot about her rights or memories of 25 years living in SA. Extreme haters are not rational. Very bad idea. If anything, a poor country (yes, poor in every developmental index) should be reducing duration of clinical courses.
Cuba has managed to do it fantastically despite US sanctions since 1959.
We need to produce highly qualified professionals as fast as possible. UK produces physios, OTs, nurses, radiographers and others in 3 years. Pharmacists in 4 years.
We need these professionals more quickly than UK. You take at least 6 years to train optometrists and then loose half of them soon after to Japa?
At a time we have financial issues as a country and need care professionals urgently, why upgrade now and spend more money?
We should be making the training programs more effective. |

deluckiest: For the past 6 years, my wife has been monitoring all my phone lines—MTN, Glo, and Airtel. She screenshots my chats, records my calls, and even gathers proof with pictures. Changing my phone numbers doesn’t help because she says as long as I use my NIN to register a SIM, she can still track everything I do, whether openly or secretly, unless she chooses not to.
I want to put an end to this, but I don’t want to get her into trouble with the law.
Has anyone gone through something like this? How did you handle it? Please share your advice. If by now you are not monitoring her too, you are truly what some people here describe you as. You might not find her cheating in her phone chat, but may be discussing something sinister about you with people. Like what to do to you if she gets any hint of cheating. A platonic relationship with a lady (kept secret to give you business, because she opposes ladies doing business with you) could lead to something else. I wonder how you can describe a marriage with phone hacking monitoring as a happy one. Nobody has the right to do something illegal to you without your response/action. Not even your wife. |

But i just don't understand Nigeria which is why i refused to work with the Forces that i was opportuned to have been invited to. It was only because somebody in Abuja followed the advise i gave them on Facebook that we were able to solve the UNIBEN student that was raped and killed in a church. Till date the first and last time Nigeria police has solved such a crime using that method because i meticulously narrated how to go about every single step therein.
Sometimes i want to just give up on this country, sometimes somebody has to play the hero. My brother, 9ja never serious. When serious, the whole world will also know. Forensics is still rudimentary. Even the Nigerian Prison Services (there's nothing correctional about them) confirmed to Adam's Oshiomole that they spend more feeding their dogs than they spend feeding Nigerian prisoners. The video is on YouTube for all to see. I ask again; what is the worth of the life of a Nigerian in Nigeria? Unless you are rich and connected. There is no average Nigerian. You that always support these radicals and terrorists worldwide, shouldn't it be better you and your likes have the whole of your personal country where you all practise the same belief?
You want the SE to pray when they have been praying since independence, yet, those unlearned and stone-aged-minded fellows in your zone are seem as more valuable and first class than them?
The truth is that, you guys are more scared than you can ever be because even if y'all practice the same belief, there still won't be peace. You want others to enjoy the misery your folks manufacture and distribute nationwide. Why people are so worried about Igbo seceding is beyond me. Nigerians are rushing to Ireland, Malta, Cyprus, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, etc. None has a population more than Oyo State. Only Switzerland would come close. Is it not better to be in a smaller country that works? Instead of a stumbling colossus with lots of deluded people? I am not Igbo but I know everyone irrespective of tribe would be served far better, in a working country of any size. |
