Some of these women can weaponize accusation and it will set the bar for conviction higher and higher. Many true victims will suffer and some will even refuse to come forward.

But he's a terrible politician. He inherited all of Yar'Adua's PDM structure, won governorship and was elevated to VP. He knew that OBJ was comfortable handing over to a Northerner (Shagari in 1979). All he had to do was play his game well with OBJ from 1999 to 2007. Even if OBJ wanted 3rd term, it would have meant 3rd term for VP too. Terrible idea, that 3rd term, but there are ways to oppose something without appearing awfully disloyal.

By 2002, Atiku already made it known through body language that he won't support OBJ second term. The secret service already knew his Ghana-Must-Go moves with NASS and so OBJ knew. He could have got OBJ impeached if OBJ was not smart.

Then came 2023. He could not even give Obi VP ticket. He could have argued that PDP needed consistency at the top. Obi could not lose out totally, so he left to join Labour.
