Genre:Drama, Fantasy, Horror
Haven't really see the shinning to know if this sequel lived up to it's 1980 predecessor, but i must confess, i really did fancy this one. The flick was very much spookish & somewhat creepy, though, it wasn't that scary(Horror fans would rarely find it scary), it kinda seemed more like a fantasy thriller than a horror flick.
The plot was very compelling, acting was good, directing & cinematography were flawless, & the music score/soundtracks were electrifying, especially the heartbeat soundtracks. I literally felt my heartbeat beat in sync with the heartbeat soundtrack.
I also fancied the concept of astral projection as portrayed in the flick.

i love this guy. your reviews are always on point.

I understand that writers need critics to grow and i don't have a problem with that, what i have a problem with is people ridiculing and calling other people names based on their movie interests.

Interest in TV shows or Movies are subjective and just because you don't share the same interest in a TV show with others doesn't mean you are intellectually better than them.
When someone says they don't like some of the shows i watch i just say "Ok" and move on, there's no need to start bringing up things like IQ over TV shows.

contrasting opinions brings out the worst in people. this is also human nature. wishing people to go against their natural human instinct that craves putting down other people for their own gain is tantamount to wishing a pig to fly, it's très impossible my brother. as a specie, us humans are very flawed and extremely antagonistic.

maybe in a perfect world, everyone will get along with everyone else and there will be unicorns and rainbows but unfortunately this isn't a perfect world. or dare I say fortunately, because if it were a perfect world, human nature will be deeply entrenched in a foundation of docility and humans will as such etch out existence in a very agreeable state.

to me that is opposite of what makes us human. the occasional mental duel is good for us, opposite attracts and so on.

and now it's messi vs ronaldo. kids will be kids.
