coolangel54:Canada has no ballot or lottery in place for immigrants' selection. Be warned!!! If you don't know what to do with money, please help me add to my financial reserve. ![]() |
pretygurll:My advice to you are as follows: 1. If your CRS score is between 440-449, continue with the profile the agent built for you but go and review it properly to ensure there is no hidden "monkey" somewhere. 2. If your CRS score is >450, that means you will most likely get ITA again in two weeks time. Therefore, do the following: a. Revoke your profile b. Create a new email address and a new profile and dive into the pool afresh with correct evidence when you have obtained it. 3. Blacklist the agent's number....Looolz |

The first question should be: What proportion of the household income is the wife's new income? a. If it is >150% of the total household income (Husband plus wife's income)----Consider relocation and other things like the possibility of the husband getting a new job or the potentials for husband's business in the new city and the cost of living in the new city versus the old. If everything makes sense--- Relocate. b. If it is>100% but <150%. Consider allowing the wife to relocate alone after considering other factors. c. If it is <100% the risk is far greater than the benefits. There is need to consider other factors critically before making a decision. |

Thanks @ everyone who appreciated the contribution especially those that critiqued it to make it better for everyone. I have benefited so much from this thread and I just want to be of help in any legit way possible. More clinics to come... ![]() Dr.dane15 |
Just tweak the letter to accordingly. The format is not all-encompassing. It is just a guide which you can adjust. CIC allows the spouse to contribute from 0%-100% of the POF. sthillz: |
Guitarlife:Sure guy! You have added the Chord G! |
Newmum0615:I have noted something about long writeups. If you can make it logical and self-explanatory enough, the reader will follow through. What you are trying to do is to ensure that they don't apply the market rate to your Pension. The author tried it with a table and saw that there was the need for more information than a table can provide. Guys, it does not have to be verbatim. Just tweak it to suit you. That is the beauty. I am definitely going to tweak it with tables... |

Still on POF Clinic. How to write a Letter of declaration of support. Central Intake Office Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Nova Scotia Canada Dear Sir/Madam, LETTER OF DECLARATION OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR FAMILY IMMIGRATION This is to inform you that my husband dane15 received an invitation to apply for permanent residence to Canada. I am the accompanying spouse. I transferred part of the funds for settlement into his GTBank Account as stated below: 1. NGN 855,000.00 on the xxth of January 20xx. The motive was for him to invest NGN850, 000.00 into his Stanbic IBTC Mutual Funds Investment. 2. NGN 685,000.00 for him to make other preparations for the family relating to our immigration. This money is not to form part of our Proof of funds and was transferred on the xxth of February 20xx. 3. NGN 2,350,000.00 on the xth of February 20xx for him to for him to invest NGN2,000,000.00 into Stanbic IBTC Mutual Funds Investment while the rest will be used towards other preparation for relocation to Canada. This brings my total contribution to the Stanbic Mutual Funds to NGN2, 850,000.00. This financial support is an irrevocable gift and I have no claim left whatsoever on the said amount and he has total control over the funds. With kind regards, Countess (Formerly Duchess) |
Today is LOE Clinic on POF. For those preparing POF kindly see a sample for your guidance. Central Intake Office (CIO) Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Sydney, Nova Scotia Canada Dear Sir/Madam, LETTER OF EXPLANATION: PROOF OF FUNDS I am writing this letter to explain how my proof of funds has been aggregated. 1. The balance in my mutual funds investment as at xxth of March xxxx was NGN4, 295,869.59. This fund is made of my wife’s contribution of NGN2, 850,000.00, my contribution of NGN1, 350,000.00 (from my January Salary) and the interest on the investment of NGN95, 869.59. The letter of declaration of financial support which has been signed by my wife Countess (formerly Duchess), the evidence of transfer with details highlighted and the relevant Bank statements for the transactions can be seen on the subsequent pages of this document. The next page shows the letter from the Financial Institution stating the Canadian dollar equivalent of the balance as CAD17, 476.38. 2. The balance in my Pension account as at xrd April xxxx – N3, 607, 654.42. 25% of this amount which is N901,913.61 will be accessible to me within 4 months of resignation. I will have to resign my employment for the purpose of relocating to Canada to take up Permanent Residency. Part III, Section 7 – (2) of the Pension Reform Act 2014 corroborates this fact. Please refer to the attached reference letter from IBTC Pension Managers to confirm this fact; and the link below to access the Pension Reform Act 2014. http://www.pencom.gov.ng/download/Pension%20Laws/Pension%20Reform%20Act%202014.pdf Since the Central Bank of Nigeria’s website does not list the NGN to the CAD exchange rate, we can alternatively convert this balance to its Canadian dollar equivalent, by first converting to the American Dollar first. I have used the rate from the Central Bank of Nigeria’s website link below: https://www.cbn.gov.ng/rates/ExchRateByCurrency.asp?CurrencyType=$USD which is NGN305.1 per 1US$ to convert the balance to US Dollar first. This will give: NGN901,913.61/305.10= US$2,956.13. The next step I have taken is to convert the US $ to CAD. We will use the exchange rate from the link below: http://xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=1&From=USD&To=CAD Which converts US$1=CAD1.276. We can then convert our Pension balance from US$2,956.13 to CAD3, 722.18. The total proof of funds from the analysis above is: CAD17, 476.38+ CAD3, 722.18=CAD21, 198.56. Please find below here the details of additional information attached to this letter for easy tracking. 1. Stanbic IBTC Mutual Funds Investment Confirmation Letter 2. Stanbic IBTC Pension Confirmation Letter 3. Letter of Declaration of financial support from my spouse. 4. Evidence of funds transfer from my wife to my Account 5. Evidence of Investment Proof (Transaction evidence) 6. GTBank-6 months statement 7. Access Bank (Salary Account)-6 months Statement. 8. Stanbic IBTC Pension-6 Months Statement The attachments have been labeled in the same way as they are on this letter to assist you in reviewing them. Thanks for your time, Warm regards, dane15 |
E don tay wey I hear PPR Announcement o! May we hear at least one this week in Jesus name. #Itshallendinpraiseforeveryone |
IamAlexander:Please decline immediately. There will always be legal means to get into the system in a way that your mind will be at rest. All you need is research. Don't hug the transformer of a 5-year ban. It has ripple effects on other immigration processes and you may be stuck with Buhari forever. I rest my case. |
Hollarjunnaid:I just want all of you to know that there is God o! That's how you peeple we be making peeple quote pages, just to prove that they have done some research and there is no need to go to I have some observations about messaging in our dialect. The truth is that this cannot be ruled out in its entirety and some times they add humour to the thread but we must not let it become the norm. Not everyone can use Google translate; although for me, it takes me seconds to read and respond to you in your dialect and even form as if I am from your community. Let's try to detribalize the thread as much as possible. God bless Nigeria. God bless Canada. |
For sub-400 applicants only. How to improve your CRS scores. 1. Sibling who is a Canadian Citizen/PR: 15 points 2. French: Up to a maximum of 54 points (Up to 24 for second language ability; 15/30-point bonus for French speakers) 3. Complete skilled work experience in Canada: 180 points (80 for Canadian work alone; up to 100 within skills transferability) 4. Canadian Job offer: A job offer in a professional, managerial, or technical position-50 Points/Job offers for for highly skilled, experienced candidates in select occupations (NOC 00)-200 Points 5. PNP: 600 Points (Please visit the PNP thread for more information). 6. Spouse's Canadian Work Experience: Up to 10 points. 7. Spouse's Study: Up to 10 points. 8. Spouse's IELTS: Up to 20 points. 9. a. The PA can take study leave and do a 1 year Diploma in Canada: 15 points or 30 points for Msc in Canada. Note that a 2 Year Msc in a Canadian School with a registered DLI number should ordinarily give you 2 years Post Graduate Work Permit in Canada during which you can sort out your Express Entry application. Your spouse should get a spouse open work permit based on your study permit when you apply. For more information on number 9, please visit the relevant threads on Canadian study and Spousal Open work permit.. Remember that when you work in the right NOC after graduation, you are also increasing your Canadian work experience points. b. If you can't afford Msc in Canada, you can look for a local diploma with a reputable university that you can complete in 1 year. 2 or more degrees will boost your CRS score by about 32 points. If you can then get a Msc from say NOUN it will be 39 points! 10. You can switch your spouse as the PA and check who offers higher points. For more information, see page zero and read through the whole thread. From the information above, jumping from 300 to 400+ is as simple as A, B, C if you know what you are doing and how to do it. I wish you all the very best. Happy Easter!!! |
I think candidates with low points should be encouraged to write TEF. There are quite a number of benefits: 1. Consider this scenario where a 44 year old PA with 3 years work experience and a wife who wrote IELTS. Both of them made the minimum required score of L,S,W,R:8,7,7,7. CRS score-336. Immediately the PA takes TEF, the CRS score increases to 378 just by "passing the TEF averagely with a band of 5/8". L,S,W,R:249,310,310,207. I believe this can be achieved with 6 months of determined practice. Maximum score would give additional 52 points in this scenario. So the question is what would you do for an additional 32 CRS points? Alliance Francaise in PH will charge about 120k for the exam. 2. From my discussions with friends and family in Canada, knowledge of French does not necessarily give you an advantage over others but then, when you consider the rate at which immigrants are moving to Canada, you will realize that it is only a matter of time before the competition starts to heat up. French may give you some advantages. I have started seeing bilingual requirements on some of their job sites already. Conclusion: Stop languishing on that sub-400 score when you can catapult yourself into your dreams. I rest my case. |
Elders in the house, I want to beg on behalf of the Association of Immigration Agents (AIA). There are some potential clients that will always love to be spoonfed. Please let's not force them to go and do it themselves. I have friends that I spoonfed in this race and about 3 have gotten PR. I didn't even do much. I just regurgitated what I learnt from this thread and they used it and it worked for them. I even had to stop 2 of them from paying NGN500k to immigration agents by scaring them with 5-year bans before they listened. These guys are very smart but some of them are just too lazy and a couple believe they want to avoid being a victim of the proverbial story where "overskill kill monkey" so they need to engage specialists (agents). Some went behind me to "arrange" themselves with agents. Having pondered on the matter repeatedly, I will be offering my services to anyone who doesn't want to go through the stress of research. There will be a notarized contract, nor fear. Just get in touch with me. Operation Bolster Your POF (OBYP) has just started. ![]() |
It is CAD19,092 not CAD19,000. That CAD92 can cost you your PR if you don't include it. I will advise you to work with CAD19,100 to avoid stories that touch. Your POF is exclusive of your application fee and processing fee. Flaj: |
Hello All, I want to thank you all for the numerous contributions here. I also want to take time to appreciate Onyi888. We finally got our Passports yesterday and we completed our medicals today. Elders in the house, I would like to clarify something. The money I have is not enough to pay the Application fees and the RPRF but I will have more than enough for the two fees in two weeks time. I feel that if I pay the two together, it will hasten the process but the situation on ground is saying otherwise. Can I pay Application fees now and pay the RPRF in two weeks time? Even when CIC has not requested for it? Will they still treat the two different payments as one? Will they be able to track it? Is there any penalty for doing so? Elders, please help your boy. I saw this on this link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/fees/immigration/right-permanent-residence-rprf-r303.html Timing of payment Payment of the RPRF will be required before issuance of the permanent resident visa for applications processed at visa offices or the permanent resident record for applicants in Canada. Each contact with the applicant should include a reminder that the RPRF is required, and that the visa will not be issued or the client will not become a permanent resident, as the case may be, until payment is received. It should also be emphasized that early payment of the RPRF will avoid delays in finalizing the processing of the application for those classes where it is appropriate, such as priority family class cases. Other cases, such as family class sponsorships of parents and grandparents, where the processing time is known to be long, RPRF instructions specify that the client should wait to pay RPRF until contacted by CIC. Although concerted efforts will be made to solicit payment at the early stages of processing, CIC must accept payment of the RPRF whenever it is submitted. This is a requirement of the Financial Administration Act. CIC also has no authority to refuse to refund the RPRF upon request of a client who has paid up front or at any time before the RPRF is due for visa issuance/permanent residence status. This is a change to the past policy that RPRF payments already submitted for applications in process will not be refunded, unless the application is refused or withdrawn, or does not result in permanent residence status being granted. Should a client complete all other documentary and regulatory requirements for acquiring permanent resident status but fail to pay the RPRF and complete the acquisition of permanent residence process, there is no legal basis for closing the file or regarding it as abandoned. Please help me interpret. |
This one somebori can't logon to CIC website again. I pray that the spirit of back to back draws will come alive o! |
dane15:Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!! |
I am just fed up with this Passport booklet scarcity in PH. I have captured for my family but they said no materials. Does anyone know who can help @ the immigration? Or at least to give an estimated time for delivery of materials. I can't do PCC and Medicals without my family's passport. Somebody heeeeeelp! |
If you have less than 442 do not despair. The low cut-off for 2018 is being sustained. The high scoring applicants are being taken out of the pool for lower future draws. It will end in praise. #Shalom |
So 3000 ITAs to be issued! Hehehehehe... Let me seat down for my own biko! Guys, brace up for impact! https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions.html |
doyinwbaby:I think ITA will aim for somewhere in between 438 and 440 today. Maybe lower.. It's celebration time Sis! It will end in praise. O ma ja sope! |

Dear House, Please, I have a question. I withdrew my last express entry profile on the ground of some errors and filled a new one which I submitted. The challenge is that my UCI and my spouse's are not updating but the scores are. Please, what do I do? Secondly, my surname is my family name but my son's surname is from my father's middle name. The reason for changing his surname is that I don't like my surname but my father's middle name though similar in spelling except for 3 letters, has a better meaning. The impact is that he has a different surname from his father (me). I hope this will not have any impact on his application? cc: Seniors, Glitteringstar, 40manlappy, |
NLNG, thanks for your email. Life is always a win-win situation for God's children because all things work together for their good. My not resuming as your staff is to your loss and not mine. You may not understand now, but I will remind you of this statement soonest. Warm regards, Dane15. |
smslive2:Thanks smslive2. Is it not safer to have everything in my account? The application fee plenty o. As the PA, I want the funds to be in an account with my name to reduce risks. What do you think? |
Please my people still on the POF matter. I want to apply by December 2017 and my wife has the POF as a fixed deposit in her account. If she transfers to me by first week of November 2017, I will have had the POF for a maximum of 2 months by the time I apply. From what I have read on the thread, a Letter of explanation alone from my wife should suffice as a backup. I don't want to liquidate the investment yet. My question now is, can I wait till a day or a week before I apply before liquidating the investment so that my wife can transfer to me. I would like to know if there is anyone with a similar experience and did you get PR at the end of the day? |
