I did not mean to insult any ethnic group as I have profound respect for the Igbo's as they are extremely intelligent, enterprising, and if you will agree with me technologically savvy.

I have a very practical and proved idea on building better and much more efficient solar panels, but the problem is I don't know how to build a prototype, in fact I don't know how to build anything and this has always been my problem, sometimes I wish I was Igbo, they seem to be able to build things while we seem to be majorly good at thinking and educational pursuits, you have no idea how jealous and sad I feel when I see thread of prototypes of equipment built by them which a lot of times is always them reinventing the wheel.

I'm really not a fan of cologne, deodorant is very okay for me. One of my many phobia is having a smelling arm pit. Men that's the greatest turn off for me.

Most a times its always that way. Getting stuck between two options. Sticking to your career path and ensuring you are passionate about it is always the best and fun as well. It may take time in yielding rewards but when it starts you are definitely gonna be wowed. Experience matters a lot in engineering. I once worked in a firm that literally pays me nothing but am enjoying skills I learnt from them those days now. But if your situation is extremely critical and you must survive, then take the one with the pay. But you must never loose focus. Always update yourself in technological knowledge. Save some cash for technical trainings having in mind you are gonna get back to your field ASAP.

Am 29yrs and I presently work with a bank as a full staff.
I just earned my M.Eng degree in Electrical Machines and Power systems in a Federal University.
I am kind of bored with banking and I do have my sights set on a Ph.D.
I am however concerned with getting working experience in Electrical Engineering before I put in for Ph.D pls all how can you all advise me.
I have never worked in an engineering firm.
I have a 2:1 at bachelors and my M.Eng is 4.0/5.0.
I have wprk experience with two top banks so far but I wanna change career path.
Can I get into management in an Engineering firm ?
How best can I go about it?
Am already evaluating Ph.D scholarship offers but I would love to garner engineering work experience first.

I have been in a similar situation years back where I have to choose between having a job for the money sake and building a career path. Other colleague of mine choose the job with the money and that with time they will find other ways out for their career but I didn't. I waited and hope on God, shortly I got my career path of job. It's a difficult choice to make I must tell u. If you don't have any means of survival go for the later but don't fail to plan your career alongside
