I visited my sister recently and where she lives, there's this couple. The husband of that lady is the most useless husband alive. From sunrise to sun set, he'll be inside the room with this heat lying down like a log of wood. The wife will be the one to go out and hustle. This woman takes every rubbish this man throws at her and none of her siblings is aware. She praises him among her siblings and they respect him. But the man is an asshole. The only thing is that he's not violent. He's just useless. When I inquired about this lady to understand why she's enduring all these, I got to understand that she's from a troubled family. Her parents kept breeding children without plans for them. The father gave birth to ten children although two died. They didn't have the best of lives growing up. Their family house is nothing to right home about. In fact, the sisters are also hoping to get married in order to leave that house. This lady can't go back to face the troubles her sisters are trying to run away from. In fact, they are looking up to her. This is just one example out of many in this part of the country. There are so many of such troubled families across 9ja.

Marrying a girl from that family will be of great advantage to you I swear. The reason is because she'll do everything possible to remain married in order not to end up like her siblings. She'll endure every rubbish you throw at her because if she remembers that her father's house is not any better, she'll mellow. She'll want to be the only difference among the girls in the family.

OP, if the present one is a good girl, marry her. She'll make sure your children dont end up like her siblings.

There are some families you marry from and you can't tell the girl rubbish cos you know where you took her from. Whereas there are other families where you'll insult your father-in-law and your wife will still be the one to beg you just to stay in your house.

I find almost every word on your post offensive, yet I can't explain it very well, I know you might not mean for it to sound offensive to ppl who come from damaged families and you're simply trying to make a point but saying that a woman from poor or damaged homes can take rubbish is underestimating, usually when someone experiences something unpleasant they either work really hard to avoid the situation in the future or they use it as a sob story to remain miserable ,however let's look at the ones that learn from these experiences , they won't stoop low to suffer after escaping from their previous sad lifestyle, they won't tolerate people who would insult them or devalue them , they are far more stubborn because they know at least at some point in their life they deserve to be happy, they know they deserve something , so yoy can't just be useless in his or her life , the other woman you're referring to has given into fear , her family situation may have influenced her poor decision but it is a choice to remain that way , she has options but she's refused to make a move, I pray she does , she's not a coward , I pray she can move sooner and leave her fear, anyone can be in her shoes and still have a perfect marriage , it was her CHOICE ,not because of her family , lastly I know a lot of us don't mean some stuff here but let's try to be cautious when discussing sensitive matters( family, deaths, etc)

So I was able to read all the comments , I replied to the sensible ppl that were worth it but not all , I was able to know what I wanted , sometimes the best advice you get is from strangers , no one should send me email again i didn't come here to make friends or keep attachments .
Anyways with or without the talk I was able to scroll back to the beginning of this not so happy relationship and I realized I had a lot to be unhappy about, a truck load of bad memories, I just had to let go , there was nothing to talk about , its not just me assuming things , all the puzzles came together and it was only sensible to leave , no matter how hard it was going to be.
I know that no matter what if I was in his shoes and he were in mine , I would do the opposite of what he did , so that means only one of us really gives a Bleep about the other.
At this point I just want to focus on getting in the new year with a new sheet , leave all my problems behind , I'm not cut out for any of this , I have bigger problems to think of than men .
