Christianity EtcRe: Are The Atheists On Nairaland Scared Of Islam? by dare2think: 12:23pm On May 13, 2013
bolaino: lol, I com tire for myself ooo, hahhahaha,

Well my point is that most atheists are scared of tongue-lashing muslims/islam, and they should acknowledge it, and accept it as them being cautious rather than claim to be fearless of any religious sect.
I can safely assert that you are new to Nairaland and it's intricacies.

The old Nairaland was a tug of war in all aspects. Athiest vs Christians - Christians vs Muslims - Muslims vs Athiests - Athiests vs Agnostics - Agnostics vs Christians etc. Name it and youll find it.

Ask you youself why the Islamic thread was separated from the main religion board. After a while, the arguments become tiring as they become recycled debates.

With the advent of a new power hungry Mod in the Islam section, the constructive debates have been reduced.

If you ask me, I think the real cowards are those that are afraid to debate their belief system out of fear of realising the fallacy in the religion.
Christianity EtcRe: Are The Atheists On Nairaland Scared Of Islam? by dare2think: 11:51am On May 13, 2013
bolaino: Any sensible human being who values life should be scared of islam, a religion that preaches death to any body or group of people who objects to it's teachings should be treated with caution,
You post the above and yet ask questions about why people dont go on islamic threads? even to the extent of saying they should post their personal details on there!!

What exactly is your point??
Christianity EtcRe: Are The Atheists On Nairaland Scared Of Islam? by dare2think: 11:45am On May 13, 2013
bolaino: comments like these make me question the sanity of most atheists, in your quest to prove to the world that u are smart, u come out as the bible puts it "the FOOL who says in his heart, that there is no good" smh.
And you wonder why people think you are a Christian??

Screwface: For the love of God, I hope David Moyes doesn't tag Fellani along to OT. I honestly don't like his style of play.
There's something about him that doesn't fit the United style of play. He seems too rough, too agressive and to 'negative' for my liking.

This is one player who, to me, doesn't care if his team is on the loosing side so long as he himself is having a good game (by his standards). Fellani is a No No for me. Thank God no one is even talkin about him coming at the moment, and I hope it stays that way.
If there is a player Moyes will bring from everton, be rest assured that it will be Fellani.

It just happens innit? No dude, it takes the creation of a stable back room process.
Ask Chelsea and they will tell you!

Erm, ask chelsea what if I may ask?
Nairaland GeneralRe: "If It Is A Crime To Save Lives, Then We Are Guilty!" - Seun Osewa by dare2think: 2:34pm On May 09, 2013
iyeyemi: So you guys would prefer hiding behind the veil of an online forum and claim to fight against the tyranny of one religion and allow some innocents far away who are not as bold as you pay the ultimate price?
So eventually the people that execised their right to speak should be held accountable for the murder of the innocent and not the murderers themselves or the ideology behind it?

I say my view about a subject, someone else gets killed based on what I said by another, means I should keep shut about my views.

Next time, people will start getting killed for how people look at them or the colour of dress they wear or how they celebrate certain things.

We should now live in fear? Responsibilty of any murder lies solely on the knife-bearer in this case.

No muslim is making life miserable for you rather people are using Islam for their selfish gains. Allah is watching us all.
I guess its the christians that carry out these acts in the name of islam!!

The first approach in solving a problem is to admit that it exists.
Nairaland GeneralRe: "If It Is A Crime To Save Lives, Then We Are Guilty!" - Seun Osewa by dare2think:
Seun: Osewa also justified the forum’s instruction warning members against posting comments that are derogatory to Islam.

When asked why the notice is not placed on the threads of other religions, he said the administrators took the decision to prevent the repetition of past religious violence sparked by anti-Islam posts in print and online media.

“Two hundred innocent people died in November 2002 because a journalist made a comment about the Miss World contest. 16 innocent people died February 2006 because a newspaper in Denmark published an inappropriate cartoon.

“If it is a crime to try to discourage people from posting comments that could lead to lost lives, then we are certainly guilty,” Osewa said.
We cannot bow to fear. It is irresponsible to stop a particular way of life because some set of people finds it offensive.

Since the cartoons, has the bombings stopped?. Has the violence stopped?

When Jonathan stopped the National celebrations due to threats, did that stopp anything?

Instead, it gave them ligitimacy and control which a strong leader should never lose.

Fear is want they want, and if you give that to them, they will have total control.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Concerning The Controversial "New" Rules Of Nairaland by dare2think: 10:38am On May 09, 2013
Seun: I would like to correct some misconceptions.

Most moderators don't support rule 17. We had an extensive debate during which most of them opposed it but were not able to convince me that we could remove or generalize the rule without exposing the forum to a security risk or reducing your freedom of speech.

Also, I am not a muslim. I am not even pro-muslim. This rule was created to save Christian lives and not to benefit muslims.
Save lives??

What people do outside the forum is not your responsibility. You are not superman that saves lives.

Like someone said, when it comes to religion, you either balance it or not get involved?

Where are the pro-rule 17 mods now? You getting all the stick and no one to back you up?

Exclude it all-together, that some nutter decîdes to take a life is their responsibility and that of the law enforcement.

Never negotiate with terrorists, they are not reasonable.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Concerning The Controversial "New" Rules Of Nairaland by dare2think: 9:48am On May 09, 2013
idefix: TERRORISTS ARE TAKING OVER
Indeed.

Terrorism is not only throwing bombs, it also involves inducing fear, limiting freedom and disrespecting others.

Rule 17 is a terrorist action that only benefits a terrorist ideology.

The ideology of fear and intimidation.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Concerning The Controversial "New" Rules Of Nairaland by dare2think: 9:29am On May 09, 2013
Shame!!

We should respect Islam but free to do whatever to others!

Sharia over the Internet, seun as an academic should know better.

I hope Muslims don't see this as a victory, suppressing the voices of people adds no credibility to any faith.

It shows that there are hidden motives.

Rule number 21 is downright pathetic. Is English our cultural obligation. That I choose to write in ways that I can relate to is nobody's biz.

Lastly, power corrupts. I guess since you own the site we must comply.

What makes you different from the autocratic leaders we had in the past?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dare2think: 11:29am On May 08, 2013
Emperoh: Now that;s the issue. We have set a standard for longevity for coaches.
No changing that now. If Jose isn't staying for 10 years minimum, then that's an issue to be looked into.
If he wants to do international football, then he should face it. Man U job is for those who wish to stay put for long.
I suggest that you should be cautious with your 10 year standard! The chances of that happening in this new era of football is very slim.

For instance, if you get manager that has stayed for 4 years without a trophy would you still be pushing this 10 years expectations?
