Pipsbasketings:
Achieve a consistent 15% bi-weekly ROI minimum for 4 trading periods (1period = two weeks, i.e. bi-weekly) and win $93.87 for the Xmas
1a. Open a new demo or live account before the 3rd of November, 2020 with a capital of $100 with any leverage size of your choice 1b. If you already have a live account with capital not exactly $100 and wish to contest, go ahead and contest; I will do the %profit maths equivalent to $100 by Dec 24. 1c. You MUST provide an account (demo or real) with your exact name or known NL moniker (preferred).
2a. You MUST then return here to provide the 1. Account number 2. Investor Password and 3. Server 2b. If you are not comfortable with 2a for privacy concern, dm me with your information as stated in 2a. But I give preference to 2a
3a. 1st Trading Period (bi-weekly): 1/Nov/2020 --- 14/Nov/2020 2nd Trading Period (bi-weekly): 15/Nov/2020 --- 28/Nov/2020 3rd Trading Period (bi-weekly): 29/Nov/2020 --- 12/Dec/2020 4th and final trading Period (bi-weekly): 13/Dec/2020 --- 24/Dec/2020
3b. Your expected 15% ROI for each trading period is $15
4. Only one trader will be rewarded the $93.87 - naira equivalent; in a case where more than 1 trader achieved the goal, the trader with the highest %profit will be rewarded.
How I came about the 15% bi-weekly ROI minimum
You will recall that this contest was birthed from the constant 30% ROI monthly income topic; but because this particular reward focuses on Xmas which is obviously very near and we do not have too many months to wait, I have divided the trading period (1month = 30%ROI) by 2 to obtain a bi-weekly (15%) trading period so we can have a total of 4 trading periods to count our success.
wishing you all success Officially joining the contest Details: Account name: David Amuro Demo account number 2090672880 Demo account type Pro Demo account currency USD Demo account password Demo account investor (read only) password 1tEhBBtsK0 Server: Tickmill-DemoUK Thanks. |

teemy: An Idea
I have an idea for a forex competition to help those beginners that need trading funds. The first part being consistency in their trading strategy and sticking to it throughout the duration of the trial.
The Trial
A forex demo trading competition.
Everyone starts with a trading account of $10,000 which is coincidentally similar to a $100 account in cents (more on this later).
Contest starts and runs for the last two weeks of each month.
Awarding the prize
Winner is the trader with the highest ROI or highest balance since all accounts start with the same amount.
At the end of the contest, the highest ranked trader will give me a report of his/her trading strategy and I will authenticate that ALL trades made conform to the trading strategy. Any single off strategy trade will lead to disqualification and prize goes to the next highest ranked trader.
Prize is $100 or equivalent in naira paid into winner's Dom or Savings account. (I will see about raising this and increasing prize positions in coming months).
As an added bonus, I will automate the winning trading strategy into an expert advisor for the winner. I would advice winner should not sell it nor give it out (I will give recommendations on how to make more with it without giving out the farm). There truly is something called the law of diminishing returns.
Grounds For Disqualification
All gurus and pros are not entitled to participate. I would rather you add more to the prize pot. This also includes anyone who has dropped trading signals in any of the nairaland forex threads.
Any new nairaland account that was created from today ontowards is not entitled to participate.
A prize winner for a month is not entitled to a prize in the next immediate month.
The contest trading account should NOT have a drawdown more than 20% of the starting account balance. The concept is to ensure you will maintain money management rules so as not to blow the prize money in a swoop.
Conclusion
All interested participants should give me a mention while I work on setting up the demo contest (most likely on fxblue).
Wishing you well - Teemy I'm interested |

Odingo1: I thought that this border closure is against ECOWAS rule,I thought that in ecowas member countries there is free movement of goods and services within the member states.
So they have been deceiving theirselves all this while in ECOWAS. The free movement of goods is supposed to be for goods produced/manufactured within the ECOWAS sub region and not for goods imported into the sub region. |

alphaNomega: I said "pivot trading method"
It is a counter-trend technique, imagine doing that on Cable last week. Hmmm.. Counter trend You can use pivots to trade trends continuations as done by Peter Bain and likewise use it for trend reversals, so it depends on your approach to trading. |

Beninempire: everyone knows that. UK just gave Muslims Nigeria not because they have higher population.
States in the north like Bauchi has like 25% Christians, taraba has 80% , Adamawa has 35% Christians.
Kaduna, kano, jigawa, borno has huge number of indigenous Christians unlike their southern counterpart that you hardly find indigenous Muslims.
In south west, only Oyo and osun has high Muslim population. Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun and Lagos are Christians majority.
In north central, Christians dominate plateau, benue. Has high numbers in kogi, kwara and nassarawa.
In ss/se only auchi in Edo north has high population of indigenous Muslims but they going down in a rapid speed. You can find churches in every street in auchi now and Christians now have higher population than them.
I don't believe in this Muslim majority.
Christians are like 59% of the country population, Muslims 35%> traditionist take the remaining. Adamawa 35% Christians? I guess you have never been to Adamawa before. The percentage of christians in Adamawa stands Between 55%-60% of the total population of Adamawa state. Thanks |

redsox11: Example why it's difficult to teach.
Say there is new down trend on 1hr chart, you will never see me trying to buy or enter counter trade. The stress is not worth it to me. Before I can even start thinking about doing any buy trade is around 4-6th day, because by then, market would be looking to balance (mean reversion) .
A lot of little tiny tiny ideas that can help you avoid bad trades;
Time of the day, Momentum; Market session, NY/London/Asian How many pips market moved already.
Momentum- E.g say I want to enter SELL on EU 5mins TF right? I can tell with good chance that, on that particular 5mins entry bar, I'll have close to ZERO drawdown. Think about what I just wrote and how can I make such a bold claim.
I'd like to hear people's thought and answer to my last line (my drawdown claim) |

AwesomeDuru: Lol. We did. Check your mentions, you should have received about 6 to 7 mentions from this thread alone since it was created. I checked your last seen on Nairaland recently and saw that it showed Jan 4, so I thought maybe something happened to your Nairaland account or your were probably still spending Christmas with family. Anyways, welcome back. Please keep posting your charts. I don't trade oil but I learn from your entries.
I want to sincerely thank Pipnator! I can't thank you enough. Your detailed price action lectures were superb.
Also, much regards to Redsox11. You might have noticed some of your old posts were being liked recently, that was me Your strategy of sma plus price action works big time. Though, I normally frown at indicators, I have found that a combination of your strategy plus price action plus my usual fib level confirmations have really done well to improve my trades.
To other newbies on this thread, you'll do yourself a lot more good if you revisited the previous seasons and read the whole darn pages. Trust me, you'd be glad you did. I have gone through the whole season 18, I'm currently going through season 17 (should be in the last 20 pages or so), can't seem to find season 16 anywhere though, if you have the link, please share.
A trader here (I think Pipnator) once advised newbies to read and study charts and then sleep and dream the charts, that with time, their subconscious will start to piece the whole thing together. This advice is more than golden, atleast, to me it is.
I have read a lot. I'm starting to think the reading has become too much, lol. But I read and I practice. And each new day, I'm already better than I was yesterday. I study how I took some of my old trades now and I just shake my head for myself. My demo account is starting to pick up too. It's a $100 because that's what I want to start with and I trade the 0.01 strictly. Haven't blown any demo accounts yet (I hope I don't).
Inshort, thanks to everyone. You guys have been really wonderful. Season 15: https://www.nairaland.com/2070588/forex-trading-season-15Season 16: https://www.nairaland.com/2835045/forex-trading-alerts-season-16 |

Tunderr: Quick 17% (Not bad for 5 trading days) ROI on demo account as I don’t want to trade my live account during Christmas/New year week.
My oh my, those days that I can’t even get +5% /month, MORE LIKE -30%, -45%, -15%, -10% / month.
Feels so good to have this ability now. Although I’m still learning, still improving, still growing.
So don't give up yet, but work it out on demo, not live account. You've got to be profitable on demo before moving to live trading. Don't forget to carry us along |
