Doing a nice job bro.... Am learning a lot from you as I plan to start selling online... Too

Keep it up....

But if I may ask, how do u package wristwatches for delivery that did not come with a branded Box - cos I waz told by a wholesaler that I may hav to buy wristwatch boxes to pacKage my wristwatches...

What do u advice ... Pls...

Not all watches come with a box. It mostly depends on the price of the watch. For luxury watches though, the box is a must! They usually come with a branded box, anyway.

For the inexpensive watches, you can use a good bubble wrap so it won't get damaged in transit. There are also inexpensive watch boxes (unbranded).
Family / Re: My Neighbour And His Fiancee by DarryOsh(m): 1:30pm On Aug 18, 2015
martyns303:
Let me start by giving you guys a brief description of where I stay as it is a vital cue to this story.

I live in a compound with other flats, where the shortest conversation between neighbours is "good morning" and the longest is "please come and move your car, I want to go out". It is the kind of compound where you go to bed with your generator on, only for you to wake up in the morning to find out that there had been light all through the night, and your neighbours had turned off their Gen without telling you. Don't tell me about the pains of child birth, there is nothing more painful than looking at your fuel gauge like "my precious". By now you guys get the message, in pidgin "nobody send you".

Now back to me, I had just concluded a professional course and was just sitting at home waiting for something to come up, that is just a fancy way of saying am jobless. But I am not searching for one, so all you NL scammers gats stay off. Without anything to do, I sit at home watching movies, and just lazing around. "My grandma just died and I am the man of the house", actually my grandma died a long time ago, I only just got my own place now. With me staying at home while everyone else in the compound goes to work or a few people that don't, I see everything that goes on, making me the all seeing eye (nope I am not affiliated to the illuminati).

A couple of months ago a young couple moved into the compound, the girl looks 25 max while the guy looks 28, they seem happy and in love, but at least once every month I will hear the girl crying profusely, I would hear her crying and lamenting, saying things like Jesus ooo, God oooo, ehhhhhhh, God please help me, I can't take this anymore, ewoo, etc then I would hear her snapping her fingers. I am probably the most soft hearted male, cos I would be feeling really sad, I don't know what a soul is, but I feel really depressed and saddened in my soul each time. If you have watched titanic, the part where Jack placed Rose on the floating stuff, you can't control the tears rolling down ur cheeks or standing in your eyes, and that's how I feel hearing this girl cry like that. Sometimes her sister would come and this has been going on for months.

Two days ago, I heard the wife crying again, and since my compound is where no one cares, nobody has ever bothered to go in and ask what's happening, but I have had enough and was ready to confront the guy, i am going to give him a piece of my mind and Damn the consequences, so on this day I walked into their flat, the parlour door was open so I just walked in, on getting in, I found the girl in pants and bra, with wrapper half way her stomach, the guy is sitting by her side with a side stool, on the floor are packs of medication, bottled water, what looks like custard and other stuffs. When I walked in that wasn't the sight I was expecting, I had hoped to see the guy beating the living day light out of his fiancee, and me yelling at him to stop. I may have been frozen for like 15 secs while I absorb what's going on. I managed to say a weak sorry, turned around and walked out. The guy followed me immediately and asked what I wanted, I explained to him how I had heard his fiancee crying and wanted to make sure she is ok. "She is fine, thanks for your concern" then walked away, I know he is pissed at me walking into their apartment like that, and even the worst, seeing his woman like that. Damn what was I thinking sef!

When I got back to my flat, the movie felt sour, couldn't concentrate on anything, all I could think of is how I am going to compose my words and apologize to the guy and his fiancee. This morning I saw him washing his car, so I walked up to him and started reciting my memorized apology. Planning is the key people, cos with the way I said what I said it hit him cold. The guy started explaining what's going on to me without me even asking. Apparently that's how the fiancee gets into pains whenever it's that time of the month for her, he said the pains could be excruciating for her. He said it's a part of her he's only getting to know as they only moved in together a few months ago, he has advice her going to see a doctor but she rebuffed the idea saying it is a normal thing. He explains how he goes through sleepless nights, boiling water and putting it in a plastic bowl with cover so she can place it on the stomach, buying pain relieves, he mentioned quite a bit of pain relieves, but that they seem to do little. He felt bad cos he is now of the idea that the rest of the neighbors may also have the perception of him being an abusive guy without knowing what's going on, told me he had to take days off from work sometimes to stay with her and when he can't, her sister comes around.

In my attempt to be nice, I had promised to find a solution to his problem. Don't blame me, at that moment I just want to be nice and get myself out of the mess I got in and appear a good friend.

So please, if there is anyone out here who knows why this guy's fiancee is going through so much pains, and if it's normal, are there home remedies, herbs or medical prescriptions that could help her situation, please help a brother out. Dankie!!!

All I can say is wow!

No nation would be stupid enough to drop an atomic bomb on another nation in this day and age . Even the US warned Japan several times before dropping the bomb. I think it is good that about 7 nations have the capability to build an atomic bomb. So, no nation can do excessive gragra. They can serve as deterrent to one another.

On the flip side though, all these smaller nations may start to strive to build theirs. God forbid that it is mishandled and a nation mistakenly wipes out half of its own population.

No, it won't affect your order. And you can even place more orders in future. It won't affect them.

Shipping to Nigeria using free shipping option usually takes between 3 weeks and 2 months or so. I'm sure you saw that on the site before placing your order.

serious, I feel your words but after giving it a quit for 6month I still find myself on it.. do you think I need prayer to stop this?

6 months? You should give yourself some credit. You'll be surprised that some people cannot go two days without doing it. I think with some determination and God's help, you will win.

I know I make it sound it so easy. It may not be very easy. The question to ask is if it's worth it.

Yes, you need prayers. Good things need prayers. Bad things too. Everything need 's prayers. Talking to someone you can trust can be a good idea too, for accountability. You could go for counselling too.

Help yourself by totally getting rid of things that can serve as triggers. Run away from them. I'm sure you understand what I mean. Prov 4:23 : Guard your heart with all diligence for out it flows the issues of life.

There would be bad days, tough days. Days wen you think you can't go on. But you know what? You are stronger than you think you are.

Most importantly, decide from the start that even if you slip along the way, you will bounce back, no matter what. Very important.

And never give in to the fear that you will never be over it. Act and think like you are over it already. Visualise it.

And idle hand is the devil's tool. Find creative and productive things to fill your time with.

I wish you the best.

First of all its wrong to derail this thread. Next time, create a new thread about your lemons.

That said, let me try and help you. I remember I used to search for lemons. Most people think lemon is the same as lime. So, if you need retail quantities, there are a couple of lemon sellers close to ikeja 'under bridge' on the left side of the road if you are coming from shoprite towards 'under bridge' . I bought from there weeks ago. Its not as cheap as lime though. I guess that's because it's not easy to find in lagos.

You could check at ketu market if it's closer. I have never bought it from there but I believe you should find it there as well

You sound like it's become a problem. You don't have to go as far ask asking if or not it is a sin.

How do you feel about it. Does it feel like another random habit or interest like watching football or do you have a gut feeling that this a quite serious? Do you find that you still do even if you don't want to? Does it feel like you are not in charge anymore? Do you fear you could ruin your future intimate relationships? I'm guessing the answers to this questions is yes.

If I'm right, then I think you will agree with me that you need to find a way out of this mess. I think there can be serious consequences if you don't act fast. In fact any habit that can be addictive is dangerous. Trust me addiction can be expensive... Very expensive! Hi guys,

Sometimes I enjoy cycling to work to get some exercise and to avoid traffic. I live in the UK, and although this isn't very safe here (it's safer in the Scandinavia), I cycle on walking pavements since I would love to return home to my family in one piece. I'd like to know if there are any keen cyclists who out of choice cycle to work, or cycle for leisure in Nigeria. I'd really like to continue cycling when I inevitably move back to Nigeria especially as it is my only serious form of exercise, so it would be great to know what the current climate is like.

I know a lady who rides a bicycle to work in Ikeja, Lagos Nigeria. She is a middle-level manager in one of Nigeria's prestigious companies. She spent a good part of her life in the west, though. Also, her home is not too far from work. I think its kind of cool to see your boss ride a bicycle to work cool

Jokes Etc / Re: Heart-touching Story Of How Elephant Killed A White Man In Ibadan. See Picture by DarryOsh(m): 10:38pm On Jul 02, 2015
FriedPlantain:
[b]

In 1995, Peter Davies was on holiday in Nigeria after graduating from Louisiana State University .

On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee, inspected the elephants foot, and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Peter worked the wood out with his knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot.

The elephant turned to face the man and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Peter stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned and walked away. Peter never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.

Twenty years later, Peter was walking through the University of Ibadan Zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Peter and his son Cameron were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Peter, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.

Remembering the encounter in 1995, Peter could not help wondering if this was the same elephant. Peter summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Peter legs and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly.

Probably wasn't the same _fucking elephant.

there is nothing to explain. The word "ignorant" (an adjective) as used by the Op is very correct in this context.

using the noun equivalent (ignorance) would also not be grammatically incorrect. but they don't mean exactly the same thing

by the he way op, you are trying so hard to convince yourself that elderly people should be expected to
commit unreasonable blunders.

I think it is silly to trash Buhari because of a couple of isolated incidents where he addressed people by wrong names/titles. It can happen to anybody, not just elderly folks. making such inconsequential blunders doesn't mean that Buhari is stupid. It only means he is human and as a matter of fact should try putting more effort into remembering names and save himself the social awkwardness.

"Nobody is above mistake" would have been a far more satisfactory (and sincere) excuse. instead you have tried to use sophisticated words to complicate a simple matter of forgetfulness. buhari has years to spend in the spotlight. trust me, he will still make more blunders. Cooking up lame, supposedly scientific excuses is just unnecessary.

unfortunately,I think you may have bought into your own lie.

Please can someone help me out with Nonikings. I sent 2 parcel from China through them since April. Of the 2 parcels I have collected only one (10kg), the second is now the bone of contention. Judy said she had sent it through express, Joy and Emeka are saying they can't found it, that Judy should provide the date she sent it. This is going to 2 months now.My parcel number is 710014526153 (1.2 kg).

nonikings... hmmm... it is well. I'm actually facing the exact same issue o. like you I was expecting two packages. finally got one (an express package ) after three weeks. the worst part is that whenever I called Michael he would insinuate that I didn't have any package with them (or say that my seller must have neglected to put my name and number on my package. I knew that wasn't possible cos I've been buying from that seller for a while and he'd always followed instructions to the letter).

Anyway, one day I went to their ikeja warehouse again to complain. lo and behold, one of my packages was found! in fact it had arrived more than two weeks earlier. I was livid!

so my package had been there all this while and I was not alerted? . I'd been enduring thinly veiled insults from Michael. for a service I'm paying for, imagine! that bloke needs to learn how to talk. his customer service skill is nonexistent.

I must commend Augusta though. she attends well to customers and was quick to apologise for the error. she explained that she'd been away for a while and for that short period, there was a lot of issues.

I'm still yet to get my second package. Augusta promised to look for it and give me a call.

I haven't tried too many shipping agents and I know that they all have issues from time to time (none of them is remotely close to perfection ) but I can say nonikings scores very low in customer relations and logistics.

step 1: contact your seller and be sure that he/she put your details on the package. if you have the tracking number, check to be sure that your package was indeed delivered to nonikings.

step 2: once you are positive about step1 speak with Judy (her response is not adequate but at least it's better than michael's). contact her on wechat. she seems to respond more on wechat than WhatsApp. hopefully she can check and give you the date your package was shipped.

step 3: patience!

I hope u get it package soon. I hope I get mine too

There's nothing "unoriginal" about the dumb, pathetic, insulting and tribalistic BS he said about the Igbos. He said those words, Havard website just decided to post the parts of his speech they deemed important for them. This ain't the "full text" of his speech.

His insults on my tribe was totally unnecessary and bigotic. And it hurt me and my fellow Igbos that campaigned endlessly for Buhari to win. I guess the tribalistic nature of him has finally been laid bare. If i knew supporting APC as an Igbo was because of money and my stomach, which wasn't true, i wouldn't have wasted my time supporting a cause where they see my tribe as an outcast.

This country is a sick joke. 4 times Buhari contested, 4 times majority of the North voted him. The sick and depraved mind of Soyinka never insulted the Hausa-Fulanis. When the Igbos voted Obasanjo twice, were we voting for our stomach too? The SS and SE voted for Jonathan, while the majority of the entire North and SW voted for Buhari. Yet he chose only the SE to pour his senility on. Maybe he wanted a case where everyone will vote APC, which leads me to ask; "what's the need of an opposition if everyone votes for one party?" I revere this man so much so i won't be insulting the entire Yorubas because of one man's hatred. When Oba Akiolu wished my tribe death, i never insulted the Yorubas, so Soyinka won't make me do such. I've met and befriended many Yorubas and they all accommodated me, loved me and never hated me. So i won't judge all of them with one man's senility. But as i type this, i regret championing the cause of APC, it's clear everything in this country is down to tribal bigotry. What a cursed country.

if I were you I would wait to confirm that he actually made those statements before playing the victim.

I find it difficult to believe Wole would would commit such a blunder. and I hope, for his sake and the sake of those who care, that he didn't make those statements.

If those words are his, then he has just fallen........ deep!

But it's better to confirm that he indeed made those statements.

vacuum" in Kuzaku's story, I thought you must have tapped my thoughts. lol.

@kuzaku... your story was great. absolutely! but on the huge vacuum, I felt it too and I also believe, as oahray says, your readers wouldn't fail to notice , and your explanation doesn't really address it.

you asked: "would you see
your child want something badly but choose
to deny him because you religion 'feels' it's
wrong?"
in truth I don't think most parents would shift religious stance just because of Christmas food and decorations. Pls go ahead and get other readers' opinions though.

there are very fine qualities in your writing that should be encouraged.

Christians be at rest.

Buhari will not Islamise Nigeria.

Nigeria cannot be islamized. it would rather disintegrate.
