Ok, so i have had this life-long dream of meeting the great Nelson Mandela, give him a tight hug and take pictures with him.....and guess what.................!

Well, i still have not met him (Never even been to South Africa actually). And i know my chances of meeting him before I he dies is sooooo slim. He is an elderly man and could join his ancestors anytime soon. But I really, really want to meet him. I am awed and inspired by him.

So, over to you....who is that one prominent personality that you desperately want to meet (Artiste, actor, nobel laureate......whoever......whatever!). Let's hear it. And tell us why.

dominique: Doesn't give her reason to lie to the press then change stories after over a decade does it? She should have kept mum on the issue.
like you earlier said: better late than never. The press was pestering her and she wasn't strong enough to deal with the embarrassment (which she still suffers from) that comes from talking about it. Yeah, speaking earlier would have been best, but please lets give her some credit. Celebrity or not, its not easy to put your personal business in the open for people to analyze. For example, after all the explanation she gave, imagine the question this one is asking:
blink6: ex mIss, how u take get this disease?
Sorry anyways!

Even some of our tabloids wrote that she was a snub, hardly seen in the socialite circuit!

Strong woman!
if only we could get into the minds of others, we would realize that a lot of them are not what we think of them.
FamilyRe: Marriage Things: I Am So Confused, Please Advice by DarryOsh(m): 12:17pm On Oct 08, 2013
nickxtra: one, how do I develop a strong love for a woman I think I should marry?
this question is the one i found most difficult to answer(i answered it last). Well, i suppose love can grow over time. yes it does. And it may not. Just be sure what you are going into. let's wait for the experts in that area to come and answer you.

nickxtra: will you not consider it better for me to finish my school and get a better job before marrying?
well, if u are not financially buoyant enough to manage a family, I think you should exercise some patience. For goodness sake, you are just 31. And u are a guy sef. combining school and work is enough stress. i dont see why you should should add marriage, especially if u are not financially buoyant yet.

nickxtra: Thirdly, do I really need an elaborate wedding, like some of my friends did?
This is the easiest one to answer. No, a royal wedding is not a prerequisite for blissful marriage. it makes no sense to get married and spend the next three years drinking garri and paying debts. Don't spend money you don't have trying to impress people who don't really care. A decent wedding will do. In a few years, you can have a grand wedding anniversary (if you desire).

Wow! Very thought provoking. And then we complain that things aren't getting better. We av been recycling the same set of inept and greedy leaders. If at all they wanna leave politics, their children take over....isn't that some sort of monarchy? What a shame.....and now Buhari too wants to come back.

On the other hand though, if i would b sincere, even the younger generation has not shown much promise.

But stil, we need to send these old cargoes packing. At their age, they should be retired and should b spending their energies on charities...bt no, they would rather continue to steal til their death. Reminds we of flies that drown in honey.
When I started a thread on it, encouraging sex in a relationship, nairalanders wanted to tear my head off! Now this is where your happily ever after has landed you.
Endure it, afterall, its going to be a 75 years of misery, your reward is in heaven.

#did you say 2 times in a week? Damn! That's half of what you're supposed to enjoy PER DAY!
how can u b so insensitive and mean. Someonw presents a problem and u stick out ur tongue. When someone comes to u witha problem, if they dont go back feeling better, please send them back the way they came; not worse.

And yes, I too believe it is a wise choice to reserve sex for marriage. It is my opinion and I am entitled to it!

And just because u spend half of ur day having sex before marriage, it doesnt mean u too cnt hav intimacy problems in marriage (I dont wish it for u though)

@op i seriously think there are underlying issues that need to b addressed. its very important that u and ur hubby communicate freely...u might need counselling too.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Middle-Class Increases By 28 percent!! by DarryOsh(m): 10:01am On Sep 27, 2013
Boss13: This world bank people, where did they get their data from? Is it the people under umbrella selling recharge cards that they are calling middle class.

28% of 160 million is 44.8 million people (approximately 45 million people). Honestly I refuse to believe this. We do not even have accurate data of all residents in this country.

The other time, Sanusi claimed to have brought down inflation to 9%. I went to the market and the price of rice and garri is still climbing. Ngozi smiled @ the camera and told us that our GDP is improving and I cannot see it.

If they tell me that this statistics are to wash foreign investors I will understand. What they are saying is synonymous to telling a man in hell fire that the temperature in hell fire is -7 degree Celsius.
Please tell them o. If this statistics were true, wud it not be obvious? 28% na beans?

since d peepz who have owambes do not literaly set the money ablaze, then the money gets into the hands of others. So Owambes can b said to b good for the economy

FamilyRe: Can An Adopted Girl child Later Be Married Into The Same Family? by DarryOsh(m): 4:36pm On Sep 19, 2013

Excuse me, but family is more than just blood.

FamilyRe: Is My Son's School "Over Teaching?" by DarryOsh(m): 11:00am On Sep 18, 2013
onegig: They are over burdening the child. Don't be suprised most of what they teach these kids is route memorization and nothing else. A kid that can read from 1 to 100 would fail if you ask him to read just 50 to 1 backwards. Also most of then know 20 times 20 but just place three cups on one side of the table and another on the other side and ask them whats the total and see how dumb founded these kids would be.

i absolutely agree with u and i think this approach can be used to tell if the child is merely cramming.
