It seems u agree with the catholics that Mary is the mother of God ??

Catholic, Presbyterian, seventh day adventist, Baptist etc... that is irrelevant. I'm more interested in the interpretation of the statement "Mary is the mother of God" than the statement itself. And that, so far, is what I have been trying to explain.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Pls Help Me Answer This Online Interview Question by DarryOsh(m): 9:46pm On Dec 16, 2014
there are two roads A and B

ask each twin : "if I asked your sister for the road to village , where will she direct me to? "

if the road to village is A, the lying twin will lie that her truthful sister will direct you to B. the truthful twin will tell the truth that her lying sister will direct you to B.

Therefore, you Will know that the correct Road is A.

in summary, ask both of them this question, they will choose the same road. then you go the the other road

Christians know how to twist things to suit them. When it's black and white clear in the bible, they say it is. When it goes against what they want to believe, they say it was symbolic. That's why atheist have a field day attacking Christians.

At what stage did JESUS stop being GOD?
Answer this question.

you are very funny o. OK, she is the mother of God. Then what? like I said earlier, I'm still having a hard time laying a finger what this thread aims to achieve.

Anyi3:

Through whom GOD came (you mean born) which translates into being Mother of GOD
SIMPLE.

you are missing the point. coming in the flesh was just symbolic. what Mary carried was the flesh, and not the true essence of God. what makes him God is way beyond flesh.

What do u think ?

I don't really know what exactly this thread aims to achieve. But it's like this: God created Mary, u, me... all of us!

Mary was a (human) vessel who found favour in God's sight, and through whom God came to us in human form to redeem us.

What he means is that Pastors Adeboye and Oyedepo have directly or indirectly endorsed Jonathan. And as their followers, we MUST adhere strictly.

I find it hard to believe that pastors adeboye and oyedepo would endorse Jonathan. I'll do my findings though.

Politics / Re: If Gej Is From The North And Gmb From The South, Will The North Ask For Change by DarryOsh(m): 10:28am On Dec 13, 2014
Daguccizgreat:
I was discussing and deliberating on some political issues concerning Nigeria with a friend who is frm the north just yesterday and along the line this question came into ma mind and i put it up to guy bt he could not do justice to my question. Now I want to ask nairalanders an honest question, if gej is frm the north and gmb is frm the south will the hausas and the yoruba yearn for a change to vote in a man frm the south. ONLY THE TRUTH IS GOOD ENOUGH

First of all, when you say 'the North ' or 'he south' you are not talking about individuals, you are talking about an entire region of millions.

It's very true that ethnic and religious bigotry is a sad reality of our country in these times. A good majority of the North are simply preoccupied with power returning to the north, never mind that all the northern leader we have had haven't necessarily done anything substantial for them. Even Jonathan's people haven't really enjoyed his government but they are clamouring for his reelection. For those that do not have minds of their own and allow themselves to me used as pawns and mere instruments of achieving selfish motives, they will kill themselves for 'my tribal man'

The good news however is that a lot of people are waking up to the reality that you are either good for the job or not. These set of people would yearn for a change in our failed government irrespective of whether the President is from the north or South or from Mars.

Family / Re: Did My Dad Do Right? by DarryOsh(m): 10:25am On Dec 13, 2014
Hyinkar97:
Dear Nls,
Good morning to y'all.
I want to share something that happened between my dad and I weeks ago.

My mum owns a Pharmacy shop; a small scale though. I was in shop that fateful morning when a lady came and asked for 'Postinor'.
'It isn't in stock', i told her.
I had heard of this drug before and my intuition told me its a contraceptive. I wasn't sure of it though.
So i decided to ask my dad about it. He had worked in the hospital before.

Me: Dad, what is postinor for?
Dad: (Countenance changed) How did you hear about that?
Me: Someone came to buy it but it isnt in stock.
Dad: Forget about it since you don't have it in stock.

Immediatley, i was now sure what postinor is for. So my question is, should he have told me what postinor is used for or he was right protecting his teen son from knowing about contraceptives?

He did what he considered to be the best, I believe. however, I don't think it was right. if anything, not giving you a satisfactory answer and making you feel it's something you shouldn't even be asking about would only make you more inquisitive. Either way, you would still find out what the drug is.
Regardless, I think the proper thing to do would have been to explain things, and if he thinks it necessary, explain why you should not have premarital sex and therefore would never need postinor

according to the op
"The Hijab is a veil that covers the head and chest and is particularly worn by a Moslem woman
beyondthe age of puberty in the presence of adult males outside of her immediate family."

in the pictures posted so far, the hijab worn by these supposedly beautiful hijab-adorning women do not cover the chest.

Since the two major parties (PDP & APC) have declared their flag bearers against 2015 General Elections, Nigerians may have no choice than to vote GEJ for president since both contestant are "not" that worthy... Buhari is least worthy.

non is worth it....

as it stands right now want to see who buharis Vice would be before i conclude

History has it that he works well when he has a good deputy

fingers crossed

you could as well have taken the words out of my mouth. none, in my opinion is really worthy. But it's pretty obvious that the contest is practically between the both of them.

It's a case of the devil and the deep blue sea. I lost confidence in Jonathan a long time ago. it beats me how anybody can even sing his praises. but of course, I believe many have been paid to just scream "GEJ till eternity" and "Sai Buhari, the people's general" all over social media in order to confuse the youths into believing these candidates actually have the people's support. smart people know better. watch out! the e-town criers will soon get here.

like you said, if buhari chooses a worthy running mate, then he could get my support. they have already ruled out fashola. Let's see who they will bring.

I hope one day we would have that luxury of choosing between excellent candidates. as it stands now, I can only shake my head. The Nigerian political scene is a mess, a hot mess!

our democracy is an aberration, an abnormality!
