destante: oh, nicee. what course was that btw? Anyways u occur as someone who's already mastered the ropes. And I don't see the inflation surpassing the 10% line by year end however. Need to ask too, the NSE ASI has failed to live the 40000 psychological line since Q2 or so. What is your take on it?
Studied Chemical Engineering.. cry

Well, there is a support level at 40,000 basis point with the Year high being 43,039 and low as 37,136. (Actually closed 40,809 with a gain of 0.67% today)Note, the market has gained about 99% twice in the past 2 years and it closing slightly below 40,000 pts at the end of the year is foreseen.

destante: Hmm I hope this isn't a show off. smiley Anyways to answer your question, I think inflation will continue to rise above 8.5% as electioneering approaches and the CBN may be forced to loosen the mpc rate. smiley
No, it's not. Had a first degree in an entirely different sector, so am trying to master the ropes. Thanks for that, but what's the maximum value you foresee inflation rate will go this year.
Investment › Re: How Is Shares Calculated by davide470(m): 5:12pm On Sep 24, 2014
destante: Didn't follow that lately but last I checked, it was left at 12 percent yea?
Yeah.. MPR @ 12%, Liquidity ratio @ 30%, CRR -(Public) @ 75%, (Private) @ 15%. All quite good at this present point in time, or am i missing some economic indications?
Investment › Re: How Is Shares Calculated by davide470(m): 5:04pm On Sep 24, 2014
destante: Lol it wasn't him who was affected. I did economics at the UI smiley
Ooh! i understand.

Economics..nice, so what do you feel about the MPC rate recently declared by CBN despite inflation?
Investment › Re: How Is Shares Calculated by davide470(m): 4:28pm On Sep 24, 2014
destante: No I had someone who was in it. plus I did a related course.
That's cool. Hope the person didn't lose more than he anticipated. Which course exactly, if i may ask so as to get some lectures wink?
Investment › Re: How Is Shares Calculated by davide470(m): 2:21pm On Sep 24, 2014
destante: Very clear. It shows if the rate decreases over the years, the buyer is unlucky. Reminds me of what happened at the NSE before 2010
Yeah. Hence, the need to pray for favorable 'market'. Were you into stocks before the crash?

aboyaji: i would appreciate if somebody or group of persons help teach me/us how shares is being calculated.

I had stumbbled across a write up here that said something about it, but, there happened to be disagreement within the enviroment about this.

My aim is to know my shares' worth. I had bought it since 2010 and i don't know how its measured. And i don't have any paper(s) or document that covers my ownership of the shares as everything is still in the hands of my stockbroker. I just want to be the Boss.
The first thing to get from your broker is the ALL-IN charges inclusive of brokerage fees..

For example:

You bought 5000units FBNH at 10.50NGN in 2010, at a charge of 1.5% =

5000 x 10.50 = 52,500

(1.5% of 52500) = 787.5

Total cost = 52500 + 787.5 = 53,287.5 NGN

Now FBNH is at 14NGN, to sell off at a charge of 1.7% =

5000 x 14 = 70,000

(1.7% of 70,000) = 1190

Value = 70,000 - 1190 = 68,810 NGN

Nice analysis perewesley, but is there any fundamentals driving this bullish run or are we just looking at sentiments?

•Open a stockbroking account..(Try meritrade.com {Meristem}), they will then open a CSCS account for you.

• Take the share certificate to their office for the dematerialisation processing.

•After it has been done and settles on your account, you can tell your broker to sell off.

marieolae: Its nt about age, its about your level of maturity.
Yeah, but its really not a deciding factor. I believe, girls/ladies need to have a few years plan post-university that do not involve settling down with a man.

adepiero: Don't be a fool. an organisation would never inform you in such a manner. it has every letter of SCAM written on it. once you send an important document like that, it might be used indirectly for mischievous schemes and it is you the authorities will be looking for. Sharp up! this is Nigeria not Yankee
First, You should be banned for that word.. Secondly, where is the every letter of SCAM..

Now to the OP, the e-mail address is 101% Legit, but what you didn't specify is: Did you write the PTDF test? were you successful? if Yes, have you gone to receive your award letter? If Not yet, you are not even suppose to open this thread grin
