you sound mad, I must say. Please dont bring your drama here- this section is usually fine but it seems you have a problem with that. Others have started threads before you showed up- how many of them are blowing their bloomers like you. If you dont know how to act when you're not in a war zone then why not stay in the war zone since thats what you're used to.
oh boy not this chick again?? see as she won derail my thread. |
What is wrong with all this big 12 people talking on this thread?? I go to a big 12 school that beat a good SEC school this season and i can confidently say that Oklahoma and Texas would lose to the top teams in the SEC. Tell me who in the big 12 can face LSU, Alabama and Florida? I saw Florida and LSU's defense the other day and i was amazed Sam Bradford might be the best QB in the country but didn't you guys see what Florida's defense did to him last year? I know that Colt McCoy is more athletic but there is no chance for him against the speed of the SEC's top defenses (abi una no see wetin Colorado do am on saturday?). OgidiBoy:Hello, BYU is ranked no. 18 in the country so you can't call them ordinary. |
the students are great because there is a lot of competition to get into the universities. You have to be a really brilliant student to get in unlike the US where higher ed. is available to all. @ davidif, we can criticize the US all we want (and i'm guilty of it too) but better to have 90% of your citizen being at least averagely educated. than have only 10% of your citizen being super educated and the rest wallowing in illiteracy (with the irony that the few ultra bright 10% are moving to the US to find jobs).
Oyinda, when university education is available to all, it improves the standard of living of the populace. Its not a co-incidence that the Scandinavians have the highest standard of living in the World (America is 11th on that ranking) even though there universities are not as good as American universities. |

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY?? And a man that ruled the state for 8 years is runing his mouth on SUN newspaper. He even writes a 'Leadership Forum' on the same newspaper. Someone tell me what he wants to teach us on leadership if he could not construct and maintain common roads in his hometown. I even hear he wants to run for President!WOW |

FG: Nigeria’ll Not Enter RecessionHE HE HE HE NIGERIA HAS ALREADY BEING IN A RECESSION FOR DECADES. My goodness, our politicians have lost touch with reality. |
Edo Police Set Up Anti-kidnapping SquadFinally, its about time. At least they are not depending on Abuja (fed. govt.) for everything. In Naija, everybody always needs to get something from Abuja to do something instead of taking initiative. Now, having established it, they should make sure the squad is very well funded and the crew are very well trained like SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics).
Jokes apart, CCTV at strategic locations around Benin city may actually deter crime. . . but ofcourse, you'd need lighting as well.
he he he he |
redhotchic You do have a point that marital counselling is of no use in Nigeria where we are a lot more communal as opposed to the privacy obssessed Americans. In naija, it takes a village to raise a child, but in yanki, its more like "this is our family and there is everybody else". If you want counselling LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS VERY VERY WELL. There relationships might not have looked like the ones you see in the movies but guess what they lasted a lottttttttt longer its because there relationship was pragmatic and not based on an idealistic fairy tale promise of "happily ever after". |
I very much doubt we will be seeing Models with marks on their face, the beauty industry strives for perfectionPerfection is in the eyes of the beholder. |
Congratulations to the Florida Gators for beating LSU in Baton Rouge. That was a tough defensive game but the gators came out winners in the end because of there superior talent on both sides of the ball and the toughness of superman (Tebow). Also, let's not forget the ever incredible Urban Meyer for an outstanding job. LSU on the other hand, even though they played exceedingly well defensively, were awful offensively. The fault lies with the offensive cordinator who did a terrible job with the amount of talent he had in his hands. First of all, he couldn't get the ball into the hands of Brandon Lafell, there playmaker. Also, when you are playing a team with an amazing defense like Florida, you can't afford to be direct, you have to come up with an offensive package that confuses the defenses and keeps them guessing, there didn't seem to be a lot of misdirection or crossing routes or basically anything interesting all they did was pound the football which LSU was successful at shutting down. Bawomolo, Tell me which league isn't top heavy. The big 12 (Texas and Oklahoma), Pac-10 (USC), ACC (Virginia Tech), Big East (they are all crappy), the big 10 (Ohio St., Penn state? No matter what, they would always lose to the winners of the pac-10). The SEC is definitely the best conference in college football. The teams have the best athletes in the country. No team in the other conferences (except USC) can beat the top teams in the SEC. Also, tennesse won't be bad for long, they are rebuilding, in 2 years they would be back. Flgators, Omo, those chicks are hotttt. From what i've heard, una babes are some of the hottest in the country (up there with ASU and USC) he be like say i would have to change schools sef . Platinumink Omo, dang no kill me abeg with anymore of those pictures. I can't be breathless for too long . |
