yes o my broda. |
You're so right it's serious. Some people are calling it creativity, the movie makers just being funny as usual. Talking about Borat, he's wanted dead in Kazakstan; he dare not show his face anywhere near that country or he'll be lynched. No one likes to collectively be made a fool of. You can joke about Germans and Chinese and even Africans in movies - Americans are known to laugh even at themselves, they are their own worst critics. But this thing in District 9 is a big dent, a slap in the face. Worse of all, it wasn't even funny. So what was the point?Look you are taking this thing waaaaaaaaaay too serious. Most people (non-nigerians) DON'T CARE. Chai, Nigerians are too ultra sensitive. |
However, if you are rich and you want to become rily rily rich well business school in the way for you .Yep, you are right. The problem is that there is sooooooooooooooooo much ignorance in our country. Instead of posting this topic for general discusion, they would rather post topic like "can you date a 16 year old?" or "NYSC camp: a woman is toasting me". Our people are not innovative at all. All they want to do is come here, get an engineering degree and instead of inventing something and patenting it, they just want to work in the oil industry that is why we don't hear of any sillicon valley heavy hitters from Nigeria. Just take a look at this slideshow, and it will show you that most of these people went to the best schools in the world http://images.businessweek.com/ss/09/08/0821_most_successful_immigrants/index.htm P.S When it comes to innovation, Nigerians only know how to boast about Phillip Emeghwali. The man only came up with a software for geology and Nigerians decided to blow it all out of proportion by saying he invented this or that ( the man doesn't even have a Ph. D) |
Nigerians are too unnecessarily sensitive to this kind of things. |

I have thought about that too. I´m from Europe but I have a lot of experience in Nigerian men. In my country some men cheat too, but it´s very forbidden and in most cases leads to divorce. It was a shock for me to learn how men can be so calculative and two-faced, and I´m talking about Nigerians now. In my case and the other ones I know, men have assumed that they will just lie, and if the lie doesn´t go through, then they will apologize and assume everything continues like it used to.Yep, you are right. |
This is an extremely awesome movie for GIRLS and maybe some guys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m-4qxz08So&feature=related |
Lsu is way better. How the heck could they be better when florida are national champs while LSU has a sophomore as quarterback. |
At least thank the westerners for teaching us their languages. imagine if we never learned english? how would we have been able to communicate across Africa?Omo, cool down na. ha ha ha ha ha ha ![]() |
At least we are not Kazakhstan. Borat did a funny movie on that country. |
"By there fruits, ye shall know them." |

Halle Berry and wats d name of dat invisible lady in fantastic four? she's my bomb! You mean Jessica Alba. Paris Hilton would pour hot food on you, she's very rude. Can someone please tell me this: WHAT THE HECK DO PEOPLE SEE IN PARIS HILTON? This really confounds me. |
Abjectly poor people like we have in millions in nigeria should not have children at all, having children in that situation is selfish and stupid, just like the pictures of road side nigerian beggars with children,it is heart breaking.Yep, you are right but who are we to play God, afterall its there choice. I believe that if you can't take care of yourself why bring a baby into this world to suffer that misery. |
omo, them don kill us for the movie oooooooooooo cheiya. We seem to have a bad reputation everywhere in the world. My friends from Ghana and even Zimbabwe (of all places) says that we have a terrible reputation there. My oyinbo roomate tells me that he is tired of seeing e-mails flooding his boxes of some new offer to make money, heck, i even saw the word Niggeria in my house when i moved in. By the way, the so called Nigerians don't seem to be speaking a Nigerian language. At least, i would have thought that they would be speaking Yoruba. On another note, we should be happy that it was not Borat that came to our country, look what he did to Kazakhstan. |
besides, he's the first blond Bond. The other ones were all dark haired. You mean brunette. By the way, Roger Moore was dark blond. |
Nigerian men were not confident enough to ask her "first class" daughters outNa, they probably did not look like beyonce or halle berry. To be honest i have been in yanki for a long time and it is very very hard to find a cute naija girl here. The girls here don't look like insanely hot ones in Unilag or the alarmingly stunning sistas of UNIPORT, the girls here are just terrible looking its not even funny (and they wonder why a lot of naija guys never date them). To make matters worse, they are usually VERY snobbish and condescending (i guess its because they come from rich families). They think that this is naija where you can do all this kind of things and the guy would still keep chasing you like dog. Here in yanki, if a girl turns you down, almost immediately there is some cute shawty walking by that you can go talk to. |
An idea just occurred to me, and I need the opinions of Nigerian Constitutional Lawyers, as well as the general public. After examining the constitution, I have not found it anywhere stated that the same person cannot run for Governorship of several states.Wow, you have the mind of a lawyer for discovering that loophole. |
that black model is much younger than Sarah Jessica Parker! You are right on that one. Its an unfair comparison by a bigot. |
Davidif, "worth it" is questionable.Sagamite, trust me it is, especially in business. In yanki, if you were an employer and you have to equally qualified candidates and you have one with an Harvard MBA or some no name MBA who would you seriously pick? When i say worth it, i mean it really is worth it because you learn a lotttttttttt from the best proffessors in the world who have had several real world experiences. You also get to go to seminars where you have guest speakers who are the lords of there fields (Warren Buffet has never come to my school). Then you also talk about the alumni connection. My dream job is to work for a wall street firm, specifically the legendary Goldman Sachs but most firms on wall street only recruit from the ivy leagues or the best schools in the country partly because of there obvious intellectual prowess but also because of there alumni network. In going to these schools you get to mix with not only the best and the brightest but those of privileged backgrounds who can network you to other people. Let's not forget that even in yanki, IT IS NOT ONLY WHAT YOU KNOW BUT WHO YOU KNOW that matters, afterall, there are so many smart people in the world. The problem employers have is how do you find this people because not all the smartest people in the world go to those schools that i have stated above. |
Daniel craig's the worst james bond i've ever seen. He goes against everything james bond stands for. Bond's smooth, suave, not some macho tough guy that looks like he was in the army. Bond's charm lies in his power to be the chic magnet he is,unfailingly attracting women of all types to himself, and always getting the girl. Hell,i'm pretty sure roger moore didnt have a bod! And then the gadgets, the unbelievable gadgets bond always had(e.g,the invisible car),what the hell happened to those? Then, there are no well-defined villains,no character as ferociously evil as blofeld,or kananga or even gustav. Then,in the craig flicks, there is no defined plot;in quantum of solace,i didnt understand what was going on for at least half of the film. Then, the craig flicks are too damn violent,in an hour of the film, there were barely 10 minutes of dialogue, the rest is just fighting. I'm just really disappointed that this is what james bond has been reduced to. They could've found someone better, and they should haveYeah i feel you, the Bond mantra of "always shaken, never stirred" does not work with Daniel Craig but that is what i like about him, he is so human and vulnerable like the rest of us. I loved the first bond movie (casino royale) because it was very realistic, Daniel Craig was absolutely ruthless and for the first time, we saw him fall in love (which made me happy for him). In the love dept. Daniel Craig was so innocent, he wasn't the man-slut we saw in the previous movies. This James Bond is very realistic which is why he has absolutely re-invigorated the franchise. By the way, did i mention, that he is very VERY RUTHLESS, he even worse pass Jason Bourne. kai! i totally diagree with u. Daniel craig in my opinion is fantastic. he re-invented the character which was getting all too predictible and far too unrealistic. No secret agent can be that good without being significantly ruthless. they are like the western's version of ninjas. D Craig also introduced Bond to a whole new audience. The dimension he brought was important to keeping the franchise relevant to a generation ready to relegate it to disney channel. Now i go to the cinema to watch a bond movie not quite knowin wat to expect. honestly, previous bond movies started to apper like cartoons where d star effortlessly saves the world without breaking sweat.I agree with you, before Daniel Craig, the franchise was becoming ridiculous and irrelevant (common, fighting with laser beams in space?), why do you think Austin Powers became a mega-hit from making parodies of James Bond movies? Now mr. Craig has breath new life into the franchise and its a lot more exciting. By the way, in real life secret agents are not like James Bond or Jason Bourne, they are very, very, very clandestine. They don't attract attention to themselves at all. A British spy chief just recently complained that it is hard for them to recruit new spies because all the people they interview think that spying is a thrill ride like the James Bond movies. |
Do you think that what has happened to China will happen to Nigeria if such a law (restriction/moderation) is imposed upon its people? For where, naija people too dey like born (its a very good thing). |
