donsola: Thanks for all the responses... my car is the 2007 accord, he sprayed it into the throttle actuator through the butterfly flap. The car is still revving btw 2000- 3000 rpm. Solutions plsI've had the same issue before. Your problem is quite simple. Probably the butterfly valve inside the TB isn't closing fully as it should in idle. Like Gazzuzz pointed out, if you are sure the idle speed control hasn't been tampered then have your mech push the valve close with his hand while the engine is off, then couple securely (let them seat properly with the hose clips on the marks they were before removal) all air/vacuum hoses including the very big hose (intake hose) that enters the TB. Finally let him perform the idle relearn procedure. Idle Relearn Procedure: 1. Allow the car to rest for some hours 2. Start the engine leaving the gear in Park or Neutral 3. Step on the throttle and rev the engine to 3000rpm and hold it there until the engine reaches normal working temperature or until you hear your radiator fan come on and off twice 4. Release the throttle and allow the engine to idle for 5mins 5. The idle speed should come down to normal all things being equal |
Bunch of 50 comedians who call themselves lawyers! Maybe they think Hague is A.Y show. From some comments here, it clearly shows that most of you lack intellectual acuity, believing anything because it came from some white man. Oh, Boko Haram said... I doubt this story and i don't believe the NBA of all association would want to drag her name in the mud on this lousy issue. Have you asked yourself why would a terrorist who is ready to die unearth his sponsor, what's the rationale? Oh i get it now. The rationale is to put the FG and Ihejirika in bad light because he dealt with them mercilessly, violence for violence. Ihejirika and his men fought BH to a standstill pushing them to the edge of the cliff (back door of Nigerian). Even an assassin when caught will hardly reveal his hirer let alone a terrorist group that is yet to be captured. Think, Nigerians! Think!! ![]() |
Also ensure that your HVAC is functional and know the proper way to use it, as in the controls on your dash. Funny enough most people don't know how to use these controls. Most times during the rain I see people (i'm not talking about KabuKabu drivers o. I mean normal private drivers with good clean cars) drive with their car windows looking all foggy, blurred and misty so to speak. Some will use towel to wipe the inside glass as they drive which is even unsafe. So, I begin to wonder whether their HVAC system is not working or they just don't know how to use it. A functional HVAC system coupled with good wipers give the best visibility during the rains. Always use your AC and heater (low heat) at the same time. This will heat up the air inside the cabin and dry it at the same time leaving your windscreen and windows clear from humidity from your breath as you exhale. Thus you will be able to see clearly through your windows and windscreen. Now some safety tips: 1. Make sure your HVAC system is in good working condition and know how to operate it. 2. Make sure your wipers are good and that you have water in the washer reservoir. 3. Clean and maintain your windscreen and windows to avoid streaks especially during the rainy season. 4. Don't over speed in the rain. 5. Don't speed into puddles as you could be thrown off course by the water. ...happened to me once. 6. When driving in the rain and through puddles hold your steering wheel with both hands with a fair grip. 7. Don't break hard in the rain. 8. Always put on and dip your headlight in the rain. I see people driving without light on during the rain and its very unsafe both for yourself and others. 9. Do not overtake on a busy traffic in a double lane road during heavy down pour when visibility is very poor. This is the cause of head-on-collision on the road during the rain. 10. Use your senses, be patient! One second of impatience can render your vehicle useless and your life lost. 11. Add yours |

Toksytoks: cleaning the throttle body at times aggravates issues. i drive a 2009 Honda accord and i had my throttle body cleaned at oyingbo ( CALLED INJECTOR HEAD ) and and my car idle became disrupted. The car the Rpm became high at almost 2 and wouldn't drop to 1 or below 1 even after waiting for several minutes to allow the engine warm. i had to change the throttle body. i spent 43k on a tokunbo throttle body and my car fuel consumption has almost doubled. when i start the car , i perceive the " incomplete" combustion smell from the exhaust. Another mechanic suggested i change the air sensor.Guy, throttle body cleaning doesn't aggravate anything. It's either your mech doesn't know jack about throttle body cleaning or he knew but failed to follow proper procedure. I have done throttle body cleaning many times on my vehicles by myself. There is no electrical part inside the throttle body but a butterfly valve which usually get dirty with carbon hence the need to clean. Probably your mech used injector cleaner spray and sprayed too much of the fluid into the opening or he didn't couple the air hoses properly and therefore there is a vacuum leak which I believe was the cause of the high idle speed. What he should have done is allow it to dry after cleaning; couple everything securely and then perform the "Idle Speed Re-learn Procedure". Guy, you just wasted your money and probably you bought a bad throttle body. Did they perform the Idle Relearn Procedure after installation? I guess not. |

He will be remembered as: 1. The most democratic president Nigeria ever had. 2. A president that never witch hunted or assisinated political adversaries and who encourages freedom of speech. 3. The most gender friendly president for unprecedentedly appointing more, knowledgeable women to superintend important positions in the country. 4. The first president, in the history of Nigeria, to have appointed an Igbo man as the Chief of Defence Staff - the highest ranking officer of the Nigerian Armed Forces. 5. One of the finest politicians in Nigeria who never lobbied for any position and who never played "politics of bitterness". 6. The only president who never unduly allocated oil blocs to his kinsmen. 7. The most popular president we ever produced for he is known worldwide on the Internet and social media. 8. If you are not proud to be Nigerian that means you are not proud of your parents, the family you come from and your culture. If you are not proud to be a Nigerian then which nationality are you proud to be, American? Arrant nonsense! Dat so call America wey all of una dey run go to claim citizenship, no be human beings like una build am? I wonder when some Nigerians will be free from this INFERIORITY COMPLEX OF A DISEASE. There is nothing wrong in having dual citizenship, agreed but why not simply and quietly renounce your Nigerian citizenship through the appropriate channel, must you come here to tell us? Nigeria is not yet there as we desire but hey I am and will forever be a Nigerian, a first class citizen for that matter...I am proud to be a Nigerian and I will never fail to defend my citizenship anywhere on the surface of this earth. No matter the number of years you live in a foreign country...if you like disown Nigeria and go spend 100 light years in America with American citizenship, you can NEVER be a first class citizen. You will still be discriminated one way or another. Even the original, so called Black Americans still suffer discrimination and racist attacks till date. If they (the real Black Americans) still suffer this then who are you. #singing# know me when am poor, not when I'm rich...you claim relationship... |

rasputinn: It's not wheel balance, his brake discs are fuccked upYeah, you are right man! Brake disc can cause vibrations too. I have 2010 Honda Accord 3.5L V6 which the steering keeps vibtrating whenever I accelerate to or even coast at 60mph (100km/h). I observed that when I get past 100, 120 to 140km/h the steering stops vibrating...checked tires, wheels (rims) -OK...did balancing and alignment no headway. Checked suspension parts...all OK. But as I changed my brake pad and disc the steering stops vibrating...my braking distance reduced and returned to normal...my car handles better...drivability - smoooth! |
This is a very good step in the right direction by the FG. A very good gameplan. So, game on! Doctors hold Nigerians and FG for throat, FG hold them for blokos so 1-1 . So, because you want your demands met then poor Nigerians must die from their ailments ehn?! ![]() |
