I am not a judge in this matter neither is it any of my headache. But,I have a choice to believe whoever I want to... I choose to believe VDM still proven otherwise.
It is hight time we started holding people in any form of authority accountable!!!
I love her selflessness... But, marriage is for better for worse!!! If the table were to be turbed around, we would expect the wife to endure till the end... So, her husband should endure out of lo e for his wife!
I have a problem i have been dealing with since i was 12. I am from a large family and when i was 12, my mum told me my Dad is not my biological father and for me to make it a secret. I did not know what to do with such an information at that age but i knew it was wrong but i couldnt talk so i am not the one who destroys the family. Everyone lives in peace but i always wonder what will happen if only they know the truth. My biological father has other children and some of them know me that i am outside. He was involved in my life financially from 12years as far as i am aware of. He sent me money then and i kept quiet too and also supported me financially a couple of times though we have no personal relationship asides 2-3mins phone calls here and there and it is been like that for years.
I know my biological father and we kept in touch while i was in secondary school. Now that i am an adult now, i feel really sad about the whole thing and sometimes i even cry on my bed. I have been living in secret and a double life and fearing i might be outed one day. Some people in my mother's family are aware which is very strange and i find it shameful as a man now but i did not choose my fate. I have always tried to forget it and just leave my life but it is always just there especially when i think about starting my own family. I am striving hard for it not to define the way i see marriage and life as i am trying to write a different story for myself.
I grew up with my father who is not my biological father and i have been a good son to him as well and still taking care of him but it bothers that my whole life is a lie and it is hard knowing what i know and i can't say anything as that will scatter the family. I met some girls from a very good home who i can marry but i am scared if i tell her or other girls, that her parent will not let me marry her with that secret.
I am scared of getting married publicly as someone can take the news to my biological father as i do not intend to invite him as my biological father but i always feel heavy anytime i think about it. I want to start a new life for myself but i don't know how to handle this. I do not plan to tell my father as he is getting old and this can kill him at his old age as he has been through a lot in life. He is finally enjoying and i am taking care of him very well and he prays for me all the time.
I am building a good life for myself as a professional and have a lot of girls around me but i don't know what to do. Should i keep quiet and tell the girl i marry after marriage ? Isn't that me building my marriage on deceit. It is a shameful thing to talk about if you look at it.
Sometimes, i feel like they caused me trauma putting me in this position but i am an adult now and will bear responsibility for how i live my life and cant continue to blame any trauma or anyone. I am the one who has to keep quiet for peace to reign in the family.
I don't want to wait too long just incase it is a dealbreaker for someone but i also don't want to be disclosing to anyone.
Aside from marriage, i still do not know what to do with that information.
Charis15: On Sunday the 21st day of December 2025 I left my home that faithful day and embarked on a trip to my village. That was our family thanksgiving day, so missing out was not an option. I arrived at the park around 12noon and I was so in a hurry to meet up because they will start 12 till around 3pm. When I got to the park at koka in Asaba heading towards Kwale, though I will stop before Kwale but there is no straight Car to my village that's why I have to board with them, but they needed 5 more persons to complete the vehicle and that's not an option for me, so I went to the vehicle going to Warri/Ughelli because they just needed two more persons. When I got to that sienna I saw something that captivated me and change my whole sense of reasoning, A handsome, tall, fair and spotless man. OMG am I lusting? I lost my gaze for a few seconds. I think it's called love at first sight. I regain my cool and I told driver please shout louder so we can move and this man/guy said to me why don't you pay for the extra 🪑? I was just 🤔 what to answer. He said " them no dey chop woman money", I chuckled and then he said, " I will pay for the extra sit for you because you are in a hurry", chai see caring man. And I jumped and gave him hi five. But fortunately for him, a guy came and completed the sit so we kicked off. We had some talks about the situation of the country and the west. He told me what happened when he went for training in Amsterdam, Dubai etc. Now I believe a guy should show interest first no matter what. He didn't ask for my contact and I said good, I'm a woman and I have dignity. So neither will I ask. When I got to my junction, I highlighted and waved him., Immediately that car drove off, I was full of regrets and until now my heart isn't settled. I know I'm in Love. But how can I love a total stranger like this? Now the pain I feel is like a broken heart for love that never bloomed. I have never felt like this about anyone before. I don't know his name , no contact, I don't even know if he likes me or maybe he is married, yet I feel so much pain for not being able to communicate him thereafter. Now I feel at ease discussing it here.
I understand how you feel... You will get over it.
geneboy: I’m 25, Igbo from Anambra, raised in Cameroon and now I’m being humiliated for not speaking Igbo. What should I do?
I’m 25 years old. I'm Igbo, from Anambra State, specifically Ufuma. But I was born and raised in Cameroon.
Growing up there, my environment shaped me. We spoke mostly English, French, and Pidgin. Igbo wasn’t part of daily life not because my parents rejected it, but because survival, school, and environment took priority. Language wasn’t a choice; it was circumstance.
Recently, I returned home to Nigeria to reconnect with my roots and family. Instead of understanding, I’ve been met with insults, mockery, and humiliation from relatives and even family friends simply because I can’t speak Igbo fluently.
I’m told things like:
“You’re not a real Igbo person” “How can you be from Anambra and not speak Igbo?” “You should be ashamed” “My mama tell me say i be Igbo" What hurts the most is that this comes from people who are supposed to be family. I didn’t choose where I was raised. I didn’t reject my culture I just wasn’t immersed in the language.
This situation has been emotionally draining and depressing. I already feel like I don’t fully belong anywhere too foreign for home, but not fully foreign either. I want to learn Igbo. I want to reconnect. But constant ridicule makes it hard to even try.
I went through the same because i grew up in yoruba land and mingled a lot with the people there. My igbo is not fluent but I chose to learn the language in my own way.

essentialone: Most ladies who live alone fall into 2 categories.
Either they turn their apartment into a hosting place for different random man who just want to have sex with them for a fee.
Or they go out every night to hustle for men at clubs and hotels and return at 5AM every day.
I am very very sure you don't live in Lagos.
So, you mean a lady was grew up in a small town, got a good job in Lagos or Abuja whixh would require a change of location. She decided to get her own apartment.... Automatically, ahe is wayward?
