I'm torn—should I give up my remote job and pursue the graduate trainee opportunity at GTBank? It depends on what GTbank is to offer you as an entry level. Secondly, how steady and reliable is your remote job? Weigh it all up |

I have already started planning my Ghana journey. I'll be submitting my CV for filling station work tommorow. once I start work and save like 100k to 200k (30 or 40k will be for transport), I'll travel to Lagos, and move from there.
I believe before 1 month time in Ghana, I'll get job or start doing menial works there.. (I'm okay with it as long as I have left my region and no longer in Nigeria) How much (the lowest) should I budget for feeding and accomodation for the first one month? You're 100k naira in Ghana will finish in a matter of days... Think it through |

Dpatriotng: Tinubu as the President of Nigeria can appoint people into so many positions and people in these positions can make decisions that impact on or affect our daily lives e.g;
Minister of Finance Minister of Defence Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Chief of Staff to the President Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Attorney General of the Federation / Minister of Justice National Security Adviser (NSA) Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chief of Army Staff Director-General, Department of State Services (DSS) Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Minister of Power Inspector General of Police Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) Minister of Works Minister of Education Minister of Health Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS)

01mcfadden: I just started mine, too. I’ve acquired 20 acres for 10 years at #400k But my intention is to use the money I earmarked to it to the full extent it will go on the land. I want to make sure it enters 10 acres and I can expand later when I get more money. The labor will cost money. The guy I brought from Togo is asking for a brand new Bajaj motorcycle after a year. But he will be the one taking care of the farm while I provide food and shelter close to the farm. That has been sorted.
My plan is to process it to garri, elubo, lafu, pupuru and even fufu. I pray God help me o I’ll still create a thread on the progress made. Halos! What's the update on your farm project? |
Travel › Re: 5 Beautiful Nigerian Cities You Can Move To When Relocating From Lagos by dawnomike(m): 11:34am On Apr 07, 2025 |
NewDigitalWorld: Let's be real; Lagos is often the first city that comes to mind when people think of Nigeria. Its towering skyline, pulsating energy, and loads of opportunity make it a popular choice for most people looking for a new environment in Kaduna.
Meanwhile, the cost of living, unbearable traffic, and often chaotic pace can easily take a toll on anybody. So we understand if you think life here is too fast-paced for you and want to leave. But the question is, where to?
Lagos offers so many opportunities that it can be difficult to decide where to move. Don't worry; I've got you covered.
Here are five beautiful Nigerian cities you can think of moving to when leaving the country's commercial center.
Abuja
You didn't expect me to start from any other place than the nation's capital, did you? It doubles as the fastest-growing city in the country, so why not? Long known for its stunning landscapes, greenery, and really good roads, Abuja is the place for a quiet and more reserved lifestyle.
Of course, its many attractions are a draw for fun lovers, although the downside here is the cost of living, which is quite similar to what's obtainable in Lagos.
Ibadan
Despite being so close to a fast-paced Lagos, Ibadan is surprisingly quiet. It's the third most populous Nigerian state, but you'll be surprised by its calm demeanor. Not to mention that it is spacious, affordable, and culturally rich. It may be known for its conservative vibe, but it's still a nice place for business people to enjoy their hustle away from the pressure of Lagos.
The cost of living here is also significantly lower than in Lagos, so you'll definitely have better savings. However, you can almost kiss goodbye the nightlife that Lagos is known for.
Port Harcourt
You'd be surprised if the oil-rich giant doesn't make my list, won't you? If you're in oil and gas or the engineering sector, Port Harcourt is still the hotbed of opportunities. It may not be as busy as Lagos, but its strong professional network makes it an exciting option for ambitious people.
Again, the cost of living here can get significantly high, depending on where you're staying, but what do you expect for a city with many opportunities? It has a vibrant nightlife, although you may want to choose a more secure neighborhood when moving here.
Enugu
Let's move a bit to the Eastern part of Nigeria. Often referred to as the Coal City with a class, Enugu offers movers a clean, charming, and surprisingly modern environment. If you're looking for a peaceful and progressive hub, often perfect for creatives and young families, Enugu is the place to move to.
Its clean environment and good road network are what you need to think better. The cost of living is also significantly lower than Lagos's, although there are fewer high-end jobs.
Uyo
If you prioritise a clean city with friendly locals when searching for a place to live, you should definitely visit Uyo. This city, located in the southern part of Nigeria, is fast becoming the favourite option for young professionals looking for a good quality of life without the urban noise.
Although it's not as bustling as most major cities, it still offers enough to keep you occupied on boring days.
Tell us which of these cities catches your fancy and why you'd love to move there.

KobomatPhones: I was arguing with my girlfriend as we were making plans to further our relationship, and she randomly made this statement “that 500k monthly salary is not even enough to survive”
Bro, we don’t even have kids yet. And her calculations were based off children school fees, sending family money and vacations.
I send my family of 5, 200k monthly and they never starve till month end.
I even tried telling her that some of the biggest occupations in nigeria, they don't see up to 500k a month and she says that “they all have a backup income”
This girl has never earned more than 50k per month her whole life. She still lives with her parents, so why would she make this statement?
