solomon111: How does calling him retardeen make him 'smarter'.
So,as far as dayokanu is concerned,'TO CALL THE PRESIDENT RETARDEEN AND CLUELESS IS TO CONSTRUCTIVELY CRITICIZE'
pls, where did you said you had your tertiary education?.

queensmith: It does depend, if your partner minds. If not you do need to respect his/her privacy. A phone is a private thing and some appreciate having things to themselves.
That being said if you have nothing to hide you won't be bothered, but going through your partners phone knowing he/she has a problem with it is wrong and disrespectful. It shows you have no regards for his/her privacy, which he/she is definitely entitled to. Just because you are the partner doesn't mean you can have unrestricted access to his/her life. He is entitled to not want to privy you to certain things. D
You are back to seducing me with your posts. Insha Allah i wont fall for you

solomon111: So how does resorting to personal insults on Gej and his family, like calling him 'retardeen' help the president.
99.9% of Nigerians, do not know how to give constructive criticism.
What is wrong in calling Retardeen by his name? Is he not retardeed and clueless?

Did u notice the coins were a true reflection of our economy back in the days - our agricultural produce. What will the N5000 note reflect abeg?

Ujujoan: One doesn't have to be in obodo oyinbo to know whem to keep people's secrets and confidences. Just cos he's my husband doesn't mean I'll tell him about my friend who confided in me about a D&C!

But I don't receive any sort of confidential thing on my phone and neither does he.

Your line of work may require people to confide in you, mine doesn't and his doesn't.
It doesnt necesarily have to be work colleagues.

You can have female friends, who text you abt how their finacee got them preg and doesnt want it How she has done 4 D&C already. Sure you wont want your hubby to knw abt such . Not because you are cheating but its another persons secret she told you in confidence and most likely doesnt want others to know

Also your husbands friend might be texting him how he got STD from his wife etc. Those are the kind of messages that can come as SMS.

RuuDie: Its very easy for folks to say. . .

I have Gambian neighbours some of whom still practice the old, original tradition of "housewife-ship" - as in the woman does absolutely nothing but stay in and take care of the home-front. . .no exaggeration; she doesn't do anything to generate any form of stipend, nothing to develop herself, just the domestic stuff and depends on her husband for everything else.

You don't want to be in this position when the man is not around and some urgent need has to be catered for. . .trust me, you don't!
No be only you. When I was in NYSC. The principal of the school I served had multiple wives and the wives were like you described 100% dependent.

The Principal would just tell them he wants to travel for 3 days, give them money for food for 3 days and spend a week or two. The money would have finished by the 5th day max, and they would be sending their kids (principals kids) to go to corpers to beg for Oil, for kerosene for salt for maggi.

Later they would go around practically begging other teachers also living in the quarters for food.

Marrying a spouse without a job is risky for both parties

Kobojunkie: I don't agree with that(since I am the one who mentioned that). And I think a good portion of the population don't agree with that either,as this is why leaks** are popular these days and more and more organizations are working each day to get, for you, higher levels of transparency so YOU KNOw exactly what your Government knows.

**leaking of information hidden by Government about us and its plans for us.
Regardless of what citizens think, the govt still knows more about you and still snoop into your lives. E.g Govt can access your medical records that even your spouse cant.

In phone calls, the caller would know who picked and know whether to reveal any information or not since he would know its the wife who picked but a text message?

Can I ask if its also right to read your spouse letters before passing it on?

Someone was arguing if its right for FBI to know more about your spouse than you? Definitely. Thats why they are govt. In some cases the Govt even know more about you than you sef. Thats why medical records cant be shared with Spouse but the govt has the right to every record.

Someone even thinks its right to share EVERY of my parent and siblings gist with my spouse? if its something they want my wife to knw they would text her directly.

Just like if my wifes friend has rashes and sent a message to my wife, The friend definitely doesnt want me to know

Kobojunkie: So you intend to allow access, but not unrestricted access? If that is what you want for your marriage, that is cool.

Sigh!! . . . . . From my experience, or should I say, I have lived long enough to know/learn that much of what we hide bubbles up the surface soon and hiding things takes too much effort that more times than not, it ends up not worth it. I personally have no secrets in my whole life . . . not one . . . and having an open-book relationship appeals a lot to me, because it means the communication part of maintaining a good relationship will be mostly taken care of that way. I don't talk much, especially when I am stressed, so if my spouse wants to get info on anything going down, my other-half can easily access my emails, text, phone etc. to get the necessary updates, or wait till when I am over the stress(which might be weeks) to get an update on what has been going on. grin
This is about respecting the parent child bond and not sharing everything about your parents with your spouse

Just like my wife wont want me to tell my parents everything about her/Us.

No one knows when such text message from parents or work colleagues would come in so to preserve the confidentiality its better the partner doesnt open texts at all.

If my wife is sharing a gist with her sister on how wonderful her bf is in bed, I wont want to know such and I bet the sister nor my wife would want me to know, if I insist she might allow me but why would I want to?

People regardless of who they are deserve their privacy.

My siblings discussing their love and romantic lives with me might not be something they want me to share with my wife
