A quick one for the gurus in the house. Please Biometrics is in 4 days (Monday 16th) and the following are the only items on both the MA's (my wife) checklist and mine (dependant)
MA (wife)
a. PoF
b. CAS
c. Passport

Dependant (Mine)
a. Passport
b. Certificate of marriage

My question:
With a 15 year study gap, are we only to stick to these requested items only OR include additional documents without being requested ?

I think my major concerns is the ECO getting confused.

If you want to submit this then please

1. Reprint an up to date statement not just the dates that was submitted earlier even if it is within the stipulated 31days, this will be you showing the ECO that the money is still available

2. Include a consent letter from the MA for the balance, the letter should be detailed and say you have access to the remaining 1.9m in excess

3. Include a very detailed cover letter stating the relevant bank statement and what covers what please.

4. Be prepared for any NSF

The key is reprinting the statement to date not using an old already printed version

In my opinion, the excess should be moved and you can restart your count. Again you may be asked to resubmit the MAs statement to check if POFs was recycled.This you can resubmit an up to date statement and invoices/receipt if applicable with a cover letter explaining

Please I need a response to this oooo......Can I use the Main Applicants POF with an excess of 1.9m to balance the 2.8m in my account for the both accounts have the money for the amount of days required (28 days)and still within the 31days period printed 30th December 2022. This is purely admin issues

The good thing is that the ECO decided to look at your application at the same time with the MA which they could have done later because you have a standard wait time

The MAs tracker/collection should reflect soon

You are aware your daughter is likely to be refused if you don't provide sufficient evidence as to why you applied for her without the second parent,so get ready for an NSF on that

2. Back to your question, you can use hers but make sure the funds are not recycled and be prepared to provide your own evidence again if the ECO requests for it

I had applied for visa a student as the Main applicant. The Initial plan was for myself and dependents (wife and daughter). But due logistics, my wife did not apply.
Mine was granted while my daughter's is awaiting decision. Now my wife wants to apply

Priority is always on the MA, the dependants can arrive at anytime.

Please be patient , you can chase again and request for escalation if you don't get an update by the end of the week.

Standard- there was no option for Priority on TLS for my application

Up till now, no decision has been made, application is still at DMC.

Sent paid mail twice, but they still said decision has not been made.
Do you have any idea what happened?

You will need to confirm from Rwanda air on this, my advise is to travel on the day your visa validity starts.

Immigration officers at the airport in Nigeria is also another issue

Did you fill your visa application yourself?

If you did,you would have gotten an email that contains a link to log back into your application

Go back to that link and follow as I previously responded,there is no other way to track it

You will have to apply to switch from Student visa (T4) to Dependant Skilled worker(T2).

If it is approved then you become her dependant

My wife and me will be going to Machester come September via Tier 4 visa. I am the main applicant and my wife will be the dependant.
If my wife(as a dependant) secures a job that can offer her tier 2 visa while i am still a student, does it automatically secures me now as her dependant to remain in the UK under her tier 2 visa? Please how does this aspect work according to the UK rules? Please help out.

You can't use your Uni accommodation details for your child, that isn't suitable unless it is private accommodation provided by the Uni specifically for family.

Where have you been since you arrived and where were you planning to keep your child?

I am already in the UK. When filling the dependant form. I already completed a section asking for accommodation, using my school address. After submission and payments made. I was told to provide consent letter of the dependants housing arrangements.

Did you challenge them on that using their own requirements as stated in either the course details or the international section/Nigeria?

Have you asked if they can accept any alternative like WAEC or letter from your previous Uni stating the course was taught in English?


If they don't accept it then you have to make arrangements for your IELTS test

Good morning everyone, i just got another offer from University of Derby to study BIOMEDICAL HEALTH (my 1st degree is Medical laboratory science) but surprisingly they requested i submit proof of IELTS test.

Besides, this wasn't among the requirements on their website for the course.

Honesty i am contemplating going for this course before September but this IELTS test just weakened me. Please how do i go about it.

Though i am still expecting offers from some other schools like NTU, Southwales, UCLAN, Teesside.

Similar to Skilled workers visa,you need to be sponsored by a company who has the license to do so

Bear in mind,you can't bring any dependants on this visa
