I received the message below from UKVI this night after I contacted them, my 15 working days is still Friday but decided to contact them.

Can you please further explain what it means.



Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.

With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision. We understand how frustrating these delays are and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

You will be contacted by the Visa Application Centre (VAC) when your passport is ready for collection. Do not attend the VAC until you have been invited to do so.

You are not required to book any travel before you apply or before a decision is made on your application. You’ll only be refunded if we have not started processing your application.

We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.

Hi dduchess please is there another mail I can escalate my own matter I have done paid mail twice. I got BRP mail on the 18th Nov for my self and 3kids the kids passport was returned by 21st but mine is yet to leave DMC. I sent a mail on the 5th of Dec saying it’s been escalated and they will have my passport returned to me asap but should wait for 15 working days before contacting them again. I did after 15 working days yet same answer I am also told to wait another 15 working days. Anything else you can advise

But work generally slows down during the holiday.

If you don't get an update by the week you can chase with an escalation by Monday 9th January

The problem I am having is that, I do not even know how many days are public holidays in the UK in December.

I am aware that bank holidays fell on either 2 or 3 days in December and 1 day in January which made me loose count of the number of working days after my biometrics.

I will appreciate any clarification as regards this.

Your visa application is not up to 15working days. Try and remove all the holidays we had. It is either 14 or 15days today.

Could you reconfirm the dates here, it seems to be only a day interval

2. You will collect your BRP in the UK,I assume you have the letter /email for it. If not please search the thread for the email address and request for your BRP letter/email

Why did you remove the maintenance funds .it is for you use in the UK

Hi, I called the airline and they said as long as I’m not leaving the airport, the transit visa isn’t required
When I checked on line, they said it’s transit visa on arrival for stay over 4hrs. My transit is just 2hrs so I’m confused. How do I apply for a transit visa? I have no idea.
And the luggage is 30kg but I don’t know if it’s 2 30kg luggage each or one

You only need to tell whoever you spoke to to escalate it,so make another paid call and do so

A little research will help with this question

1. You are allowed 1 (23kg)check in bag and 1(10kg) carry on

2.You will need a transit visa through Beirut so please bear that in mind

When you come to the forum, it is important to take time and read the pages. This question has been answered multiple times. with people recently sharing some experience.

That said, you are advised to hold your:

CAS
BRP Letter (hard copy)
Updated Statement of account for balance POF / Receipts if you made payment.
Evidence of where you will be staying in the UK
and be prepared to answer basic questions about your school/course etc.

That's fine

It seems you looked at the 'Join family/Settlement' wait time which is 24weeks.-Screenshot 1

That is not your catergory, you are under the Spouse dependant (study) visa category
The standard wait time for study visa application which also covers the dependants in this same category is an average of 3weeks- Screenshot 2.

There is no priority or super priority for dependants.

Bear in mind that this could still take more time as you can see from people on the thread.

Did you see the option 3 I put their about trying a different card.Also calling customer service will get it sorted for you.i have travelled with this airline before and all I did was call customer service and it was booked.
