Good morning everyone. Please I really need your suggestions about this issue. Even though I have asked before, it's still not very clear.

My husband, while filling his form, didn't include us as dependants and filled single (An agent filled for him). And he never took note of this until I asked him.

We(wife and 2 kids) want to put in our own applications. How does this mistake affect us and him? I have read that withholding information can lead to refusal or ban. Please has anyone ever been in this situation? How did it work out for you? I need suggestions please.

What is academic CV and what is normal CV?

A CV will include aspects of both academic and work not separate

Escalation usually means the attention of the ECO will be brought to your application

Chase by Friday if you don't get an update, also let your Uni be aware of these delays

Please do you know how long it takes to get a decision after getting a response from Sheffield student team escalation application is getting worked on? Does that mean decision soon? I did biometrics 29th at ikeja, Priority but I haven’t heard anything since then. I haven’t even gotten any NSF which I’m happy about but I’m just wondering why it’s taking time. I got the escalation email 12th of January and still awaiting decision. Please advise as my school is resuming 23rd of this month.

Joint account would work in the case of spouses/partners not siblings.

Being a co-signatory doesn't mean the funds are his and he has access/control of the funds.

He should move his funds to a separate account and start his count to ensure it meets the conditions for study visa

Hello house,

Please my cousin has a joint fixed dorm account which he is co-signatory to with his elder brother with the same surname but the account is in the brother's name. Now, can he use it for his POF? He can get an official letter from the bank to back that up. Wondering if that could work.

And then give some time for the ECO to assess the documents you provided

Refusal mails are usually sent before collection but because it is purely admin,one can come after the other, have you checked your junk/spam messages?

If there is none by now then it's as good as granted

Why are you using a different bank from what you submitted during your visa application?.

The POF should be evidence of invoices/ receipts of things you have paid for(rent, fees, bills paid etc) since you arrived the UK plus the balance of your initial POF if requested.

1. Ideally yes but you may need to request for it if you haven't gotten it after collecting your passport

2. Yes, if this is the path you choose,you have to apply for post study visa along with your dependants,there are fees and IHS cost for that too.

3. Yes but no POF needed

4. Yes, if the MA gets sponsored to work after study he will apply and switch to skilled workers, the dependants will also apply and switch to skilled worker dependants.You have to remember the visa and IHS fees for this

2. Does one have to apply for a post graduate study visa after completion of study? As I thought until recently that two years will be granted to a student visa after study.

3. If question number 2 is affirmative, will it be the financial process with respect to when applying for a student visa? I.e paying for PGS visa and IHS

4. If a main applicant gets a work visa sponsorship from a company, will the sponsorship cover the main applicant's dependents or the dependents are on their own....how does this work pls?

I will really appreciate a feedback on this.

I don't know if I should be happy or scared now because I and my dependant went for biometric on 6th, though we paid for priority for the MA but each time I check the tracker it always show the same progress. Now the tracker is showing received by VAC for the both of us as at this morning.

We have done our Bio since 7th Dec, 2022, one dependent..

MA did interview and subsequently got an empty NSF..

Till now no updates from UKVI..

We did paid mail enquiry for MA last week, they said application is still being processed and awaiting a decision...

We did a follow-up email enquiry yesterday, they said application has been escalated and we should wait for 15working days.

Any advice for this kind of situation?.. Do we have to wait for 15working days truly before getting any response? MA's course begins on the 23rd of this month.

A friend did bio on 16th December (standard),nsf mail for additional documents was sent to him on 3rd January and he responded on the 4th of January....out of frustration or so coz he said he was thinking they didn't receive the first one he sent hence the delay.....he went and resent the same additional documents again this morning, making it two times.

I am thinking that will make the count start again for him or be an issue.

What do y'all think please?

Chatting history is not a strong evidence

Bills paid together, investment, joint statement, rent/tenancy agreement, letter from local government, voting /electoral documents showing both of you lived in the same address

Try to include one of those in addition to your doctor letter and chat history

The more the merrier and your evidence should be verifiable
