Hello The definition of tangible reason is up to you to debate. You can request for a refund stating change in personal/financial circumstances for now and putting your study on hold You might loose some administration fees but it's better than nothing. With a ban from Canada I will assume you submitted questionable (fake or fraudulent documents). Please sit the UK out for now and serve the ban duly.My humble advice Cheers EMMYLODE: I got banned tonight and now inadmissible to Canada for the next 5 years. I am devastated. This is the saddest day of my life beside my father's death
I just got my cas for my admission in UK and at the stage to apply for study visa to UK having paid my tuition fees. I am considering requesting for refund of my fees but I see from the school site that there must be tangible reason to request for refund e. g Visa refusal, I have not been refused UK Visa yet because I have not even applied. Visa application fee is too high for an application that has very slim chances of success. It will be double pain to proceed with the Visa application and be rejected and the school seemingly not ready to make refund without a concrete reason.
I need advise please my people |

I would appreciate if I get a response on my question please. Thank you I got unconditionally offer from BCU for January 2023, because of time frame and all I don’t think I can meet up. I want to ask if the school would agree to defer my admission till September next year without paying initial deposit yet. Thank you |

Hello This is tricky and could go either way Mixed statement should ideally be either only yours or only your parents. A preferred option will be to pay more deposit to your Uni and ask for an updated CAS so it balances out You could have a cover letter to explain why you are using your parents account in addition to yours, and what aspect your parents account will cover . For instance yours has the tuition fees and your parents are paying for your maintenance Then the rest of the documents (consent letter, Id from your parents and birth certificate to show your relationship) I would prefer you go for the first option Cheers misskit: Pls i am about to apply for my visa but i noticed oanda rate is pretty close to the rate i used in calculating my pof. Can i use my parents account statement along with mine for my visa application? |

My dependent went for biometrics on October 25, but when we track the application, it's still showing "Application received by DMC". it's been up to a month now.
Sent paid email two days ago, and the rep said they can't find the reference number. I sent them the GWF number.
Please advise on what to do.

Hello Refusal documents is different from application confirmation documents Tell your Uni you no longer have the refusal documents but have your application confirmation documents and ask if this will suffice. Also quote what the generic refusal reason may have been Cheers Nina85: Hello guys, the school I applied to are asking me to send all the visa refusal documents in other to process my application, I only have two US visa refusal in 2018, I no longer have the refusal letters but I still have the US application confirmation pdf in my email, can i send the pdf to the school or I should tell them I no longer have the refusal letters with me? |

Hello Passport return service will be ideal if it is not convenient for you to pick it up yourself In terms of reliability they should be because they carry your sensitive document, but people have actually had different experiences with courier so it's not a one size fits all On TLS for the cost of this is N9k(unless otherwise). You can add to your cart and pay or pay for it when you get there Cheers Elolam87: Hello, good day to you all .Pls I reside in ibadan. Due to the stress of the road and because of my tight job schedule ,I am about to pick express courier service for passport return as my biometrics is within this week. Hello 1.No, If you intend to use your company as your study gap activity please ensure it is active on CAC 2. Refer to No 1,you may wish to include your TAX clearance documents, in addition to other documents for your study visa Cheers Loko40: Good evening guys, hope you all had a wonderful and restful Sunday. I have a question please.
I have a registered company with CAC since 2020 which I am planning to use (the company) as my employment status why applying for Visa. But when I checked my company's profile on CAC website, My company was tagged INACTIVE. So my question is
1. Can I use the company to apply for Visa with the inactive status
2. If yes, will my certificate of incorporation and the data page be sufficient enough as the documents to produce to the embassy.
Though I won't be applying until sometimes April 2023, I am only gathering the needful informations before then.
Thanks |

Hello These are minor evidence The OP will still be refused if he applies based on this Cheers itoski: This will be a bit difficult since your partner is now in the UK which means you have not been living together. Don't bring up the topic of tuition fees because it shows you lied on your POF.
The documents you may need may include photos, copies of instant message correspondence, texts, and letters that show when you met that your relationship developed over time, and you are still together. You also need a letter that talks about your relationship and a good reason why you want to be together. Don't bring up Finances please. |

Hello Declare it in your precas and visa application that's all.Point based student visa doesn't require how your circumstances have changed With your application, please start and if you have questions ask. Cheers benjaminiyke: Good evening all,
Please I need a candid advice.
I had four (4) US study visa refusals between 2015 and 2016. The visa officer refused my application under the popular section 214 (b) of Immigration and Nationality Act, stating that I did not sufficiently demonstrate to the consular officer that I qualify for the non-immigrant visa category I applied for.
Although the US does not give any specific reasons for refusal, but I had the feeling my application was not strong enough.
I did not have IELTS OR ORIGINAL DEGREE CERTIFICATE. All I had was statement of result as a fresh graduate.
My circumstances have really changed now,
I have been gainfully employed since 2018 with proof of employment reference, I have IELTS with overall band of 7.0. I have my original degree certificate, transcript, certifications in my field and financial capability.
Question;
1. I'm applying for UK STUDY VISA NOW, In declaring my previous US refusals, should I state how my circumstances have changed or just declare the reasons for refusal and stop there.
I need suggestions, I intend to apply and submit my Visa for Master's degree program this week. |

Hello This has been addressed before Pending on the ECO, this could be overlooked (very rare) or picked on and your visa refused. If you want to take the risk then do nothing and leave it to the hands of the ECO If the exchange affects your POF please pay more deposit to your Uni and request for an updated CAS so it balances out Or Top it up and restart your count Cheers Just4life: Greetings my Wise people, Please, is it acceptable if POF at a certain stage fall below the required amount before adding more money to make up for the shortaga till it matures?
Or i have to start up afresh from where it drops below the amount?
Pls help with your advise . Thanks |

Hello 5years since your last study is the average study gap considered, in your case you clearly had a study gap but the ECO had a choice not to request for it The OP can either choose to exclude it and the ECO doesn't request like in your case Or exclude it and get an NSF and waste more time Or include it and get through the process What we do is advice, the finally decision is whoever asks the question Cheers Caliso: Not really compulsory if you'd ask me. I have 14 years study gap, and didnt include any employment history, I wasnt also asked to explain why the gap. I just applied and was given. It also depends on luck and who reviewed your application. |

Hello Study gap generally request for activities you have done since your last degree(usually when the gap is more than 5years) Your last degree was in 2014(8years considering you are going for 2023) NYSC is 1year left with 7years You need to include employment documents if you have been working since then Cheers ramon212: Good morning sis, What is considered as study gap? I completed school in 2014. NYSC (2015- 2016). Is this study gap?
Do I need to include my employment letter or any other certification I did in a letter date? Or who my NYSC certificate be sufficient?

Hello That should be fine. The question is on the day you apply, ensure the Oanda rate that day didn't affect your POF all through the minimum 28days. A preferred solution is always pay more deposit to your Uni and get an updated CAS Cheers Shollydd: If add money before it affects your POF,are you good to go ? |
