The bank statement for instance will have the address of the parents and perhaps show you paying upkeep to his/her account. The letter from the doctor(verifiable please ) can show that again parents address and parents being responsible for his health, some additional receipt paid by parent will be great

This doesn't exclude what you need to add from your end as the MA bringing in your child dependant

Because you are submitting numerous statements should you go with getting a bank statement,please do a cover letter explaining what statement refers to what so the ECO understands clearly

First dependants have to join the MA before applying for PSW if that is the route following end of study

That being said, the recommendation is between 6-8months to join the MA, although there have been exceptions where dependants join 3months to the end of MAs current visa.

The advise is always give yourself enough time to apply, arrive and settle before the MA changes to PSW

If you arrive early (1 month) before your studies,get an accommodation, your brp,open account, register with the NHS, then apply for jobs,get shortlisted, then perhaps yes

Please note that most companies will employ you on a part time basis in line with your visa conditions

In the current clime in the UK, this is almost unrealistic

These are my thoughts

A. Unmarried partner- Living together for minimum 2years with proof to show( this is like being married), can have legal rights

B. Married - Legally binding

C. Fiancé- Not legally binding in my opinion (if you can prove Category A then that's a partner)

So if your situation doesn't fall under A or B please put single

1. Honest mistake I won't be too concerned with the part you ticked a Yes

2. With POf you are looking at almost 14M for all three dependants using 1023*9*3 and today's Oanda regardless of the amount of time left on your visa. I am sure it should be less, you can do the maths yourself and if it is enough to cover them then you can apply

Remember you also have to pay IHS and visa fees

3. If you aren't able to bring them now the bringing your kids later will be after PSW is you get a job as switch to skilled workers

Good morning gurus, I am currently a student in UK. I will finish my course in January 2023. I applied for dependent visa for my husband alone leaving the children.
But I made a mistake when filling the visa form. I ticked yes when asked if the children will be travelling with him whereas I don't have the mind of applying for their visa now. I am at the TLS page uploading the required documents. The POF is #8M and my course will finish by January 30th. My husband biometrics is on Wednesday.

Questions.

1 can I write a letter to inform them that I made a mistake because the children are not going with him now. And attach the letter with documents I am uploading in TLS page?

2. Will the 8M be enough for all the three and I just filled the children form since I just have 2months?

3. I actually wanted to use the children as a home tie for my husband because I intend to secure a job very soon and then bring the children.

4. What are my chances?


Gurus please help me out, I am in a dilemma.

Unless she is your legal guardian with court documents to back it up unfortunately No

This has been argued so many times on the platform with people claiming all sorts

Please follow the guidance

If you aren't officially sponsored (scholarship or a company), then you can be self sponsored,sponsored by your spouse or partner and sponsored by your parents

You seem to be mixing things up

Yes people can get married to their partners at that point they become your spouse


So, if that is your aim then fill in single and No it doesn't affect anything

You can get married at any point and you have the right to bring in your dependants

1. For Unmarried partner on the visa Application form there is no section where u will input your partner name, and under the financial dependant if u select NO, hope it wouldn’t affect the unmarried partner when it is time for her to apply as a dependent.

2. After the MA visa is out can they still do wedding ? and the partner can apply after 3month or when she is ready to come? Hope there will not be an implication that the MA didn’t mention the partner name during his/her own application but just choose the Unmarried Partner option only when asked of relationship Status.

Please I am completing visa application for child dependant and i am at the declaration page.

1. I guess I should choose the 3rd option (I am the parent of applicant under 18)

2. When I choose this it takes me to the next page (screenshot added) asking in what capacity are you representing applicant, the only option that looks okay is "family member" but when I choose this, it asks how are my related to main applicant(which is me)

Am I doing something wrong here

To add to what @Promoter2 has said please read the Immigration student rules ST 34.2 (see screenshot) for the conditions for a child dependant.

If you decide to proceed please prepare for an NSF from the ECO either requesting for details of the second parent or documents to fulfill those conditions


Some people have been lucky to provide documents for that and have gotten the child dependant visa others have had their application refused

If you aren't prepared for that hassle please withdraw their application so you can get the visa fee and IHS refunded and go for yours.

They should then apply when your spouse's passport is ready

Please kindly explain why it's not a good idea. I'm already hyperventilating here as we've submitted our application without him. Although parental consent was included for all dependents.

I assume you have your CAS now and applying with your dependant


I also assume other documents are ready i e TB certificate, POF(minimum 28days), relevant documents to prove your relationship with your spouse and child dependants, and relevant documents if you have a study gap.

You will need to finish the MAs application and then proceed to do the dependants individually

If you were applying for another visa within the UK, it will most likely reflect a Leave to Remain* category

Bear in mind that there is also Indefinite leave to remain and Indefinite leave to enter but that's story for another day

More reasons we don't encourage using agents and advise doing it yourself

If both funds are in your account please proceed to apply for your visa
Ensure you attach a consent letter for your wife saying she has access to the funds


Ask your agent for the refund you paid him and do it yourself.We are here to help if needed

My wife is the MA, why me the husband is her dependant, I want to use my account for the proof of funds but my agent is telling me our visa will be denied, that a dependant can not sponsor/ use his/her POF for the MA.. Said, I should transfer the funds to my wife's account and restart our 28days count.
If I insist that I must use my POF, then he'll ceased to be my agent, write to the school that, he's no longer our agent, then I can proceed with whatever I want (threat). Though, CAS has already been issued to my wife 3 weeks ago (POF wasn't needed for issuing of CAS. Can I proceed using my POF to apply, since we're applying the same time?

The OP will need to choose between paying more deposit or increasing his POF and recounting


He can't just add and print if the inflation affects his POF, he is just about to get his CAS, if it rate drops better if not then paying more on his tuition is the way to go

You can't just top up your POF halfway, it has to be the stipulated amount all through

Thanks for the comment Duchess but my experience is quite different.
You will not pay for walk-in as long as you are booked same day. I did early this week for family of four. You will all go inside same time i.e. 12noon in your case (the person whose time is the earliest). All the application will be done same time. The main applicant will have to go to each section with all the applications while the remaining members of your team chill and keep a close watch on you. All the best.

Please submit a hard copy at TLS if that's where your dependant funds are.

You might want to write a letter saying this was omitted at the application stage and refer the ECO to the statement submitted with account no xxxz for the dependant

The main issue is that I didn't include the account where my dependent POF is during my application and I didn't upload it, but I am planning to submit the hard copy at TLS.

This is because both of US has already chosen the same date for Bio

I have a similar case, I'm the dependent for my wife as a MA.
The POF is in my name and we share the same surname with all documents to verify we are married.
However my wife has been watching too much of YouTube videos and convinicing me that it's best for it to be in MA account.
I've shown her I can be a sponsor as seen on gov UK website but she is still scared
I'm a week into my pof counting already
Do you see any problem.
