If the rate affects your POF and you need to increase it then you will need to start your count over

An alternative is to pay more deposit to your Uni and request for an updated CAS showing the correct fee

You IHS and Visa is not part of your POF

You can pay for your IHS and Visa at any point if it doesn't affect your POF
Remember to wait for atleast 28days before concluding your application which means visa and IHS fee payment

Switching can be done at anytime but the guidance documents specifies 6months to the end of programme

2. Yes, student status letter showing you only have the stipulated time left, some will include a statement of when your award will be issued and that you have no pending exams to resit

3. Yes,but you most likely might need to study part time. I will advise you make the switch first otherwise with part time study visa you can't work.

It also depends on what stage you are in your study and how supportive your course director/Uni is

It simply could be an error

I am happy with the advice to make a paid call

Can I add that you check this link and send an email to Sheffield (look at the screenshot I highlighted in yellow)

They have requested for a copy of the visa vigenette but say it was not included at all( you can add the biodata page and blank pages of the passport)

They will pick it up and act on it.

My husband got an empty passport with no vignette on it yesterday as my dependant, and we did not get any email for rejection or approval prior to when he got collection mail. So one person advised I make a paid call but all they did was collect his details no concrete answer maybe the visa was denied or not. At least we suppose to know maybe they denied him and on what ground he was denied dependant visa so that we will know how to tackle it maybe to do administrative review or reapply. Or maybe the lack of vignette on the passport was a mistake on thier part. Just want to know what to do next

IHS for PSW is £624 per year (multiply that with the number of years you will be given 2years for master and 3years for PhD)

They will always check the condition of your study visa( in particular 20hours per week condition) before granting this.

Can I ask are you applying for PSW?

At that point it won't count then, and they won't reflect that in your CAS

You have 3 options

1. Ask the school to move that towards accommodation and stay on campus for a few months so it covers the gap

2. Pay for a few months on accommodation in Uni, even if it is 1month so it balances out

3. Do nothing and hope the ECO doesn't pick on that (A big risk to take and I personally wouldn't advise it)

Point based system is so easy to regulate (Spotting a POF that doesn't meet the criteria is easy)

You can either pay for walk-in at TLS venue or go back to your application, add Flexi to your cart and pay

2. Have you checked your junk/spam section in your email? As long as you can see your booking on TLS that should be fine


They usually send reminders too for your appointment

I made a paid call as suggested by one person who was the only one answering me on this yet I did not get response weather the application was approved or denied and I came back to ask what else can I do to at least know their decision afterall we have to know why he denied if they denied him so as to know what next or know maybe no vignette was a mistake on their part that can be rectified but no I am not to be pitied on this app. No wahala sha thanks to the only person that took time to answer me I know where I belong here

What is the £4k for then?

You can't just pay an amount without a description to your Uni

I will assume it is for your accommodation,if so they should update your CAS and show you have paid some amount for your accommodation

That will cover the difference exchange has made like I said earlier

I assume your POF has hit the minimum 28days

The date you paid your visa and IHS is the date of your application.
That is the date you should compare in Oanda.

You should submit and book your appointment

Back to your question, the course end date is your visa expiry date.

If so that should reflect in your CAS and help reduce the effect of exchange rate on your current POF

Hello house the falling of exchange rates on Oanda has affected my POF (though just a few dollars) as my POF is in a dollar Dom account and I don't think my parents are ready to add another money into it because they have paid all of the tuition fees including 4k pounds plus into the school's account so my question is can I provide a written statement that I have an additional 4k with the school which can cover any unforseen circumstances to back up my bank statement?

Submit just your certificate if your CAS states so


Always update your records in your Uni, I will advise you still send the correct transcript pointing that the only error is the date not the results

Unless you intend to continue to use the wrong one,if so then no need

Please guys, about visa application and submission. The transcript i used for admission says degree awarded on the 11th of march 2021, then after getting cert it says 3rd of May 2020. But now I have the transcript that has same award date with ny certificate but with a generated date of November and I'm to submit my documents 1st week of December. Please which am I to submit? Is the one with a different date but got an offer with or the new one with same date and a recent generated date?

Where did you request for your BRP to go,?

If it's your Uni you should be fine, even post office will only need your passport

Don't be too concerned

When did you start the count for 9-10 weeks?

You should still be able to meet up with your end date and request possible extension to resume after then if you confirm from your Uni

You might need to consider paying for priority

While waiting get your documents ready to go

My thoughts on this is Q-life will follow the same procedure with IOM. That is why they are part of the HO standards and not just any hospital

Your decisions are on assumptions.

Hopefully it goes okay,do let them know you have previously done more Tb test and x-rays so they can advise if it's safe to proceed or not

Also, was thinking the x-ray in Q-life might come out clear and negative .. the reason why I actually did an x-ray at a different hospital yesterday was just to clear my mind..I was worried when IOM made it look like I still have tb cos I completed the treatment when I had it and it was negative after the treatment..the x-ray I did yesterday was clear and negative
Well, I’m hoping Q-life own will come out negative from the chest x-ray..hopefully they won’t ask for sputum because I once had it in the past..
I really do not have much time to wait for 10 weeks.. and normally sputum takes about 72 hours, I don’t know why theirs is a whole 10 weeks
