Hi everyone, I have an enquiry to make and I would really appreciate responses especially from people who have been through the same situation.

So a friend applied for student visa for last yr September resumption 2021. After applying for visa for himself and his wife, he withdrew the application because he changes his mind about going to the UK for the time being. He has since applied for his IHS refund and that of his wife. His own was received but his wife's was never received. He has sent them mail upon mail yet no response. He wonders if he has the correct email address or is there any other way to get his fund back please?

You might have to go back and forth with both Uni's until one gives in

With the OPs timeframe he has less than 1month,that's too close and he will need to renew

You will get a refund of both IHS and visa since you haven't done your biometrics

Usually refunds are done automatically and could be within a few days or more

You might need to chase it if it takes too long

Do not confuse the ECO with an account that is irrelevant to your application

Student visa is point based, you don't need to include your regular account if it doesn't show your evidence of tuition and maintenance.


Just ensure you state your refusals in your application

There is also a HO consent letter at the end of your application for you both to sign
