sultanofpigs:The same Edo State Obaseki said Oshiomhole prevented him from developing by asking for the state's resources but now ended up doing nothing when Oshiomhole is supposedly out of his way. At least Oshiomhole started work on that Sapele Road and took it to a substantial level. Why has Obaseki been unable to continue from where Oshiomhole stopped on Sapele Road? |
BullBearMkt:These three indicators [RSI 5, RSI 14 and Ichimoku cloud (up and down kumo)] make accurate predictions of inflexion points using TA. |
Supremos:You pretend to have forgotten how much SE people cried blue murder when Buhari deployed Operation Crocodile Smile to checkmate this madness in its earlier stages. |
BullBearMkt:Could you include Ichimoku cloud, RSI periods 5 and 14 in your TA charts? |
sterlingD:Geregu is a heavyweight and on top of that has enjoyed its SA fueled bullish run long before now. |
BullBearMkt:Funny but true. |
veecovee:It seems none of their lines goes through these days. |
megawealth01:Just 2020? Then you are a new comer. |
Mcy56:One thing about penny stocks is that when they go rallying up, the temptation is hard to resist. However most of those who later key in after much time wasted in contemplation are likely to enter close to the moment of reversal. |
Mcy56:It would be recalled that prior to Otedola's invasion of Transcorp shares, Tony Elumelu had at several instances invaded it but the resultant rally wouldn't last beyond two trading days before it would begin to drop again thus causing regrets among those caught in the trap and others like me blacklisting Transcorp as too slippery for SA pick. I recall one monicker here who always so got his fingers burnt in all those ephemeral Transcorp rallies tied to Elumelu that he renamed it TRANSCORPSE. If Otedola could hold Transcorp to a sustained rally which eventually didn't reverse, and also having once carried Forte Oil from N8 to N320, then his presence in FBNH now might just signal something big ahead. Caveat: Just my S.A. backed imagination and not a recommendation. Thanks. |
emmanuelewumi:I still find it difficult to understand how people who didn't buy UCAP when Covid-19 sentimental pressure badly pulled it down to even N1.9 which made its P.E. ridiculously low and other solid FA parameters then later believed it would come back down to N4.00 much after it had climbed to N10 when Covid-19 wind was over. For NAHCO; Its soaring from the N5 junction was guaranteed all things being equal. |
Mcy56:Exactly. Otedola's name might just be the SA fuel. Imagine a volume of over 4bn in just a day. |
emmanuelewumi:He was trying to read the Nigerian stock market through the lenses of US stock market without knowing that anything Nigerian is always of a world of its own. |
ositadima1:SA in action |
emmanuelewumi:Your input alone here actually passes for what you claim can't be gotten here. |
emmanuelewumi:In my own opinion, the best book to read towards gaining accurate knowledge about stocks valuation is this very NSEMPA. It is a book of not theory but practicals written and continuously being revised by experienced investors and traders alike. |
yMcy56:FTN Cocoa seems now driven by reserve fuel. |
locodemy:Chams is simply on traction on account of the movement of other stocks of similar price category. Same with RTB and Courtville. Anyway, the ride is onto glory for the Sentimental Analysts on board. When the SA fuel driving them dries up, exit follows. |
thesilentone:Exactly. You just took it out of my mouth. Traction is same thing as sympathy rally. |
Streetinvestor2:SA is anything outside FA and TA which could cause sustained rally in a stock for days consecutively. In addition to those you listed, traction is part of SA too. What traction is all about is that a stock just moves because others in the same industry are moving. |
yMcy56:Thanks for the compliments on SA. For me, SA is the quickest and safest way to realizing the ultimate objective of coming to the stock market which is financial freedom. The SA family is a big one and we have always been together in spirit regardless of the pockets of occasional disagreements. I was actually enjoying your updates and secretly appending likes while the mutual avoidance lasted. |
locodemy:Consideration of opening of Seme boarder is an FA factor and that has no bearing on the imminent SA driven rally. |
locodemy:Yours sincerely rode RTB from 28 Kobo and disembarked at 96 kobo that time. In fact from SA indications right now, RTB appears to hold a potential for another 100 to 200% begining from next week. Caveat: To non-SA adherents, please this is not a buy recommendation. In fact, don't buy RTB please. Thanks. |
yMcy56:Exactly about Geregu. 200% rise on news without any change in fundamentals, and that was even at a time the market was very low in activity. One thing about SA backed price appreciation is that whenever it happens, it defies every market odds and situation. That time Geregu happened, the general market was in a very prolonged bearish/sideways movement. Same with that of RTB. SA movements are the only means of profit in time when the market remains irrational for too long. Even under rational market conditions, fundamentally sound stocks hardly give 100% capital appreciation in the medium term let alone short term like SA does in the most irrational moments. |
yMcy56:Thanks @ yMcy56. I have always hammered here that as far as NSE is concerned, my over 20 year experience of participation has taught me that very long term investment outlook based entirely on fundamentals alone could end up a tragedy in life. Fundamental Analysis is like basing opinions and choices on reason and logic which though should be the ideal attitude of men but unfortunately in Nigeria, reason doesn't dictate to any reasonable extent our choice making. We have severally witnessed fundamentally sound stocks declining in price just immediately after declaring fantastic results with very mouthwatering dividends while a not too good result from a struggling company causes a 10% daily rise for days based on sentiments. Why this happens is something the hard core FA apostles have never been able to explain. |
BullBearMkt:Even fundamentally sound stocks could have their prices pulled down so badly and for very long by certain market sentiments such that the loss might send holders of such stocks back to the village. |
emmanuelewumi:Sentimental Analysis isn't synonymous with penny stocks or dead non performing stocks. It is all about the buying a stock based on momentary positive disposition of the market to that stock for the short time it would last. Sometimes sentimental analysis could point at even fundamentally sound stocks. For example during Covid-19 scourge when Zenith fell to as low as N10 or so, SA would recommend. Also, SA would recommend Transcorp when news of Otedola's recent trading filtered in even though that did not cause any positive change in Transcorp's fundamentals. SA radar picked and recommended RT Briscoe here last year due to the fact that after being dead for long, it became quite liquid amidst what seemed like good figures, and it ended up delivering a profit of 400% as it galloped from 20 Kobo to N1.09 in 20 trading days and has remained quite liquid ever since then. Japaul has for long been fundamentally dead but for the fact that it strangely remains very liquid, it satisfies the most important criteria for SA picks. We recall how it did 300% from 40 kobo to N1.67 early last year on news of switching from oil to gold. For stocks like Afromedia, Omatek, Deap Capital, DAAR Communication, etc, no Sentimental Analyst would recommend them as they are bugged down by illiquidity thus failing the most important requirement of SA recommendation. In summary successful JIJO approach to trading is primarily based on SA. |
otokx:Sentimental Analysis. |
It seems those who are fanatics of FA have this perception that those who believe in SA are monkey hunters. As someone who believes that SA plays 70% role in Nigeria Stock Exchange, I used to furnish this forum with SA based forecasts of price movements but had to beat a retreat when it started being perceived as M. Hunting. |
dipoolowoo:Welcome back. |
husu:That was the craziest moment ever on NSE. May those times return. If they do, I am sure a lot of us here will not be caught off guard again. |
Cloudflare:I am sure you won't have this take on such law if the non-Binis residing in Benin City were adjudging Benin City a no-man's-land. I guess you can recall how tussle over the ownership of Warri land caused so much of bloodshed because of the fact that when the crisis started on a mere verbal note first the Delta State House of Assembly didn't see the need to conduct proper inquiry and come up with a white paper and law on that. You think Lagos State is as non-proactive as any of the other 35 states? |
