I used to be a staunch church goer but gradually lost interest and always find one excuse or the other not to attend church service.

I actually lost interest when a certain young pastor was on my neck to date him, so it got to a point I had to stop attending service and ever since I've not been able to pick up.

How do I reawaken the zeal?

"I used to be a church goer" .....but are you a Christ's seeker?
Let me explain this to you: going to church is different from seeking God's face in place of encounter. Church is like hospital : we have those who comes to steal phones/money, to look for babes, for business appointments, the sicks, etc. Don't ever think because your Pastor climbs alter makes his okay.....many pastors are not okay(mentally, emotionally, etc). When you know the God that you serve and you have fire burning on your head, no "young" Pastor can ask you for nonsense. It's only cold meal that flies feeds on......no fly can come near HOT food!
Be honest with yourself, how do you place yourself or what's the level of your relationship with God? Mind you, Pastor is just a title, they have blood and flesh just like you but the difference is the value you place on yourself. Do you take God seriously or casually? I stand to be corrected but what I'm thinking right now is the fact that the Pastor sees you as unserious when it comes to "church thingz". Like Dr.Paul Eneche said in one of his messages " Are you a church goer or you are a child of God"?
Another point is, there is nowhere written in the Bible that when you change your church you won't make heaven. If you are not comfortable with your present church, "gbe body e"....go to another church. The most important thing is your relationship with christ. In fact, going to church is not a guarantee to make Heaven. Check your salvation and keep moving.
Also, how is your dressing like when you go to church? Truth be told: those pastors knows those who are serious and unserious. Men are naturally attracted by the way of dressing of the opposite sex. This is where you will appreciate MFM, Deeper life, etc ..... those "spirikoko" churches. It's very rare to see things like that happening there cos their style of service is "fire for fire".

Just check some things and make corrections. Salvation is personal. It doesn't matter how people advised you, in all honesty you know where your lapses are.

The Bayelsa State Police Command has ordered for an investigation into the cause of the death of a 14-yr old girl in an hotel along the Isaac Boro Expressway, Yenagoa.

The command's spokesman, ASP Musa Mohammed who disclosed this, said the Criminal Investigation Department ( CID ) of the Command is carrying out the order from the Commissioner of Police, CP Alonyenu Iduh.

Recalled that the deceased, Sharon James, who hailed from Akaibiri Community in Ekpetiama Clan of Yenagoa LGA, was said to have lodged into the hotel with the suspect, an unnamed 17-year old boy on Sunday.

We gathered that the deceased was said to have gone into the bathroom to take her bath around 11pm and never return as expected, so the suspect with fear reportedly opened the bathroom only to see the deceased in a pool of her own blood on the floor.

We also gathered that suspect then alerted his elder brother who was in another room, and they both rushed the deceased to the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa for prompt medical attention, but it was too late for them as she was declared dead on arrival.

She was said to have had deep cuts on the neck and leg.

We further learnt that the father of the deceased, Mr. Ebitari James, demanded for autopsy to establish the cause of his daughter’s death while the suspect is in police custody.

I'm very sad this morning. I bought 10k worth of electricity units, and got only 41 units. I bought 5k worth last week Friday, and got 68units!!! I told a friend, and she decided to do 1k. Well... She got 4.1😭😭😭. We didn't even know we are on the BAND A! We barely get 12-15 hours of power daily. Some days, we don't even get 10 Hours! Ahhhh!!! Security forces have reportedly killed an infamous bandit leader Dogo Gide, behind several attacks, including the shooting of a military helicopter.

Politics Nigeria gathered that Dogo Gide passed away as a result of gunshot injuries sustained during a clash with Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) forces.

The encounter took place in the challenging landscape of Madada forest within the Maru local government area on March 12, 2024.

Despite suffering serious injuries, Dogo Gide was said to have been covertly taken to a hospital in Mabera, Sokoto, Sokoto State, where he eventually passed away.



Dogo Gide, a notorious fugitive sought for his series of heinous crimes in the area, was laid to rest in Dandalla Village on March 24.

His appearance at the hospital was supposedly made easier by a security official who is currently detained, prompting concerns about potential cooperation within the security forces.

The successful elimination of Dogo Gide represents a notable achievement for the Nigerian security forces, showcasing the collaborative endeavors of 1 Division and 8 Division of the Nigerian Army.

Dogo Gide has a history of involvement with ANSARU and other significant terrorist organizations.

He has been linked to serious crimes including the shooting down of a military helicopter in the Dansadau-Birmin Gwari region and the kidnapping of students from Federal Government College Yauri.
