carefreewannabe: It is sad we have women like this. I have just been arguing with a woman who has an income but belives the man has to pay all the bills undecided

I weep for our daughters.

I am a feminist in the sense that women should have the same social, political and economic rights. I HAVE NOTICED that women are VERY OFTEN part of the problem and not the solution.

I do not hate men. I do not want to eat my cake and have it.
Now you are making sense to me. If the bolded is what you seek after, it is not wrong. It is the type of woman whom you made mention of who wants men to pay her bills that is the real problem and not women like you who hold a reasonable stance in the area of women equality. Because believe me, I am pained when I hear that in some parts of Nigeria, women are not allowed to vote or hold some public offices and this is usually in the Northen part of Nigeria. Like you truly said, I feel for the upcoming generation of women to come unless there is a rapid change which is what I wish for

carefreewannabe: You have made excellent points in your post.

I can't stand the kind of women you described but I am definitely not one of them.
Good! So you see...you are definitely not one of them as you say which I do not doubt but how do you intend to lead a feminist crusade with a bunch of women that exhibit such traits that I mentioned as followers and adherents when they form almost 85% of the women population in the Nigerian Society? Wouldn't you rather take it upon yourself to change that statusquo and create a modification in that perception that for them as women to succeed, they need stand up and work for their way up to the ladder of success without being dependent on a man and relying on him as a meal ticket...only then will it be said that you have created an enabling environment for feminism and women empowerment to thrive. Cos like you said, you do not share that same trait but sadly, the Nigerian female population is filled with such category of women both in the high and low cadre of the society. Like they say, only a blind man can can be king in the land of the blind. You cannot put the cart before the horse.

carefreewannabe: The West lives in the post-feminist era. Women and girls in this part of the world enjoy what their grandmothers fought for. The st.upid girls you poted the pics of take every right they enjoy for granted but their grandmothers had to fight hard for them.

Women in Africa fight for something Western women were fighting for 50 years ago. Nobody in the West is talking about feminism anymore as much as Nigerians are. Like always, Africans are AT LEAST half a century behind. WAKE UP.

What the West will be concerned about in the next years will be the rights of fathers if Western men decide to stand up for their rights. This will only turn into a mass movement if they will feel the need to do so.

Do not compare the West to Africa. Nigerians are AT BEST 50 years behind.
You are the one who needs to wake up because you are comparing the typical Nigerian woman (except for a sensible few) who has been doing nothing but blindly copying the western woman who decided that they were tired of having to look up to a man for their basic social, financial and material needs and decided to lay it upon themselves to take on those responsibilities contrary to the Nigerian woman who cluelessly decides to join in and beat their chests about gender equality but yet depend on a man to buy everything for them from sanitary pads to pure water.

Women here like you are ranting for equality but yet, when their gen goes off, she calls a man to fix it and pay for the repairs, she would pester a guy to get her a laptop or tablet and for him to still pay for internet subscription while she sits her a*se down at home doing nothing just because HE IS THE MAN. With this, one can clearly state that if feminism got the western woman to a destination, it will never get the typical average Nigerian like you anywhere because you are in the same feminism boat but are rowing it backwards without a compass unlike the western women during their days. They (the western women) came about the ideology to empower them to work in the labour market like their male counterparts so they could be recognized in the society and pay their own bills without the help of a man but a blinded Nigerian woman is all for feminism in order to flex her muscles like a Wannabe-Beyonce and still ask a man to send her airtime for BIS and pay her school fees and house rent. HOW LAUGHABLE! grin

Like you wrongly postulated about paving the way for your grand daughters, I think it is more of paving a rocky track which leads to a forest with no hope of return whereas they would blame you for it in future.

carefreewannabe: Does it make any sense to you to post pictures of white girls on a predominantly black forum? How do the lives of white women in the West can be compared to those of black women in Africa? Like seriously?
Oh really?? What race did the proponents of this feminism come from predominantly? So it was the black women in Africa like Winnie Mandela, Okonjo Iweala or Dieziani that brought about the feminism movement as an ideology right? You see why I say these feminists esp the ones we have here in Afica (Nigeria) are so deluded and clueless!

The silly thing about feminists and their silly ideology is that they are fighting a one-sided war against men which men are not even aware of. A feminist to me is a woman who is weak, bitter and HATES HERSELF FOR BEING A WOMAN.

franchizy: I have said it over and over that the FG should appologise to Boko haram, grant them Amnesty, compensate them, release all boko haram detainees, only then the bombings will stop. The Igbos and yorubas must as well appologise to the Northern Elders forum and stop pointing fingers on northerners as boko haram sponsors.
Islam is a religion of peace. They don't kill nor shed blood. Boko Haram are not muslims. The Evil boys are all christans claiming to be muslims. Allah will expose them.

LESSON FOR MEN! When next you see a "beautiful" woman on the street, in a party, in your office, in the church , ANYWHERE and you are tempted to mingle...think of these "Masquerades" first before you make a move. All that glitters is not gold. Tell me how a man will see the makeup pic and date her and then one early morning after the first, second and even third "make-out" with the woman and the real face without the makeup is revealed, he won't run away or cheat? And ladies, whenever a woman comes to a social network to complain about how her man left her, ask her to post her pictures just after waking up in the morning without makeup. The real reason to why he absconded could just be revealed you know.

eaglechild: Northern Nigeria is imploding while the elders sit by and do nothing.

Look at the stark contrast of developmental indices between the north and south and you just see that the north is akin to a diabetic foot that should be cut off.

How can one still blindly follow a teaching that propagates violence?

Why is it that a bomb has never gone off in a mosque in Christian dominated Southern Nigeria?

I do not understand this religion of peace piss.
I truly do not.

Let GEJ disintergrate this country so that these discombobulated elements can practice their useless religion

DestinedSharon: lik I wrote earlier ''that is where we go nuts''. Many who had made d wrong choices reference themselves as an example to others to take correction.
So how can we identify the ones that go nuts? And what can we do to avoid them? And by the way, you seem to be very matured in your opinions. It's hard to see a lady admit what you just did about women going nuts. I love a woman who says it as it is without gender sentiments.
Romance › Re: When A Man Loves A Woman.......... by Decryptor(m): 12:40pm On Jul 23, 2014
DestinedSharon: I agrees with U that women loves challenges. We unconsciously take it upon Ourselves to refine a crude man. This is because we philosophically believes the word ''all that glitters is not gold''. When a guy is too soft and too good, we see him as ''a wolf in sheep clothings'', we hardly believes in him. You might be the type that hardly have time for women, U do not cheat or flirt around, just a nice guy. Ladies perceives U differently, we logically put it that it's either u ar yet to find another or U ar not really ladies choice so U were being turned down. A once loving lady might just quit U for a more handsome sweet mouthed playboy. Not that her intuition didn't tell her that he isn't good for her, but she'd rather believe ''I can change him''. That is where we go nuts. Some get to succeed, while many get to regret for the rest of their lives.
So tell me...is that the best?
Romance › Re: When A Man Loves A Woman.......... by Decryptor(m): 4:56am On Jul 23, 2014
udemzyudex: lol...always imagining things, and the funny part is no girl will want to marry a guy like that..

Girls don't want a guy who is not challenging, a guy who they can control.when they believe he has given them his powers,it becomes boring and really want to try out new things.

Any girl will think twice before accepting such guy proposal
Thank you my brother. We are on the same page. Women are usually attracted to men who are hostile and volatile! Trust me...i used to be the endearing and phenomenal lady's dream man and i saw women treat me like shyte but when i became more eruptive and rigid in my relationships, they seemed to hang on and love me. Just like you rightly posited, any man who is serious to settle down should not exhibit most of the characters the OP pointed out out because the woman will eventually say "I DO" to a more dogged and unyielding man.

Women love challenges. They unconsciously take it upon themselves to go on a quest to refine a crude man than settling with an already refined man. their motto is usually, "I BELIEVE I CAN CHANGE THIS MAN FOR GOOD"

I agree with majority of those points but the major problem is that women take these kind of men (whenever they find them) for granted. I can clearly relate to all those points and yet see the women i got involved in betray me or make me walk away from the relationship out of frustration. The thing about majority of women esp Nigerian women(I believe that there are a few good ones out there) is that no matter how good a man is "whether he is an intending or already-wedded husband" to his woman, she still believes that the grass is more greener at the other side.

Watch Tyler Perry's "Temptations: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor" and the Upcoming "Addicted" and you will be so discouraged to give your whole heart to a woman both in relationship and marriage.
