TheUndercover: Machiavelli uses the metaphor of the fox and the lion to explain the combination of cunning and strength that a prince must possess in order to maintain control of his state. Machiavelli stresses that a prince must learn how to imitate both the fox and the lion so that he may draw on the necessary attributes of these "beasts" when circumstances demand it.
According to Machiavelli, a prudent ruler must adapt to new situations and problems, acting as a fox "in order to recognize traps" and as a lion when he must "frighten off wolves." Machiavelli argues that the lion "is defenseless against traps" while the fox "is defenseless against wolves" and other physical threats; therefore, a prince must mimic the behavior of both types of beasts in order to benefit from their complementary talents and to overcome their differing weaknesses.
As a fox, the prince can use cunning statecraft and diplomacy to sidestep traps and other pitfalls. As a lion, the prince can use physical force in order to maintain his power over his subjects and enemies. Taken individually, neither of these talents will spell a prince's success; but combined, the diversified skillset – political cunning backed by the threat of physical force – is formidable. The fox and the lion represent a meeting of opposites and a wise ruler will strive to master and combine the unique skills of both beasts. apt. |

The People deserve some sort of subsidy, the Nigerian govt must think and work with innovators, subsidising fuel products is necessary, especially because we are a crude exporting country, the government is making so much free money from the export of crude, that they must give back a percentage of that revenue to the citizens, and the best way to do that is through subsidies/grants...Every country subsidies food and energy products for thier citizens, so the prices are cheap, so the citizens can have more disposal income, the subsidy system of given allocations to major importers of refined petroleum is faulty, the government can use direct subsidy systems, using bvn to issue fuel subsidy allocation/units to Nigerians via their financial institutions... You load this card, get a direct subsidy, and use to buy fuel. Some countries use this form of subsidy, and in agriculture, government can run mechanized nationalized farm/agro allied processing coporations, to produce agrictural produce and foods in monumental proportions, and selling cheap, this will compete with other brands, forcing them to review pricing to remain in markets, giving fertiizers and long to agricultural loans to established agricultural produce companies, local companies alone must be supported by BOA/CBN. These and more ways are how government can help to reduce price of fuel and food. |

Originalsly: How many years have the US been in Afghanistan fighting terrorists?... with a disciplined military?.... fully trained and equipped with the most sophisticated arms ... communication capability and coordination between ground and air divisions?... they have an array of aircrafts... including drones.... but yet... the terrorists are still there. What makes you now believe a few Pakistani jets will make any difference? Having those jets will endanger the lives of innocent Nigerians. Just hope they don't bomb your family and headline 5he strike as a precision strike that eliminated a terrorist cell. The US has done that several times.... and they are well trained.... why wouldn't our gallant military men? Be careful what you wish for. Afghanistan is not their country, fool, they are there to advance thier national interest, so there is no basis of comparison here, Afghans can kill themselves, you think America care? These evil barbarians are killing people like goats, Nigerians in Nigeria, and you are here defending them. Thunder fire you. Are you better than those being killed by these vultures? you prefer the bandits and terrorists kidnap your mom and rape your sister? You are talking of 'what i wish' dumbo can you not see they have declared war on Nigeria/Nigerians? I know you are a religious bigot, may it consume you. |
Crime › Re: Nigeria To Take Delivery Of The First Batch Of JF-17 Fighters From Pakistan Soon by dederocs(m): 12:58pm On Feb 28, 2021 |
kayjay69: Actually for bandits, you don't need this type of fighter jet. A fighter helicopter in the mould of an Apache or a Hind would suffice cos it is slower moving compared to a fighter jet and it can hit ground targets with better precision.
Also, the JF17 is an omni-role fighter, it remains to be seen if the ones in service with the NAF will be adapted for ground based operations. Last I checked, bandits/herdsterrorist/BH don't have fighter jets, we don't need a JF17 against them, an attack chopper would do just fine. yeah i got your point, helicopter gunship, and other such air assets that you mentioned, is more adaptable to these type of battles, cos of their ability to shoot at lower ranges, and control of the gun mounted on the helicopter, so it gives more precision, maneuvarability, and rapid close range firepower...but we have to work with what is available for now, fighter jets can launch very hard lethal precision targets. |

Spend the budget on this type of hardware aquisition, training and retraining, we need to start the bombing campaign, only bandits and terrorists move together, do proper reconnaissance, and ground intelligence, and start continous targeted bombing campaigns, when they see their commanders bombed to smithereens, the younger ones will be less eager to continue in terrorism. No legit person stays around terrorists, remember Osama Bin Laden son too had to be killed, as he continued in his fathers evil deeds. the evil seeds must be wiped out, thier plan is to link with ISWAP and get thier caliphate, and start thier reign of terror from there. we need to start using our air advantage. World powers maintain Nuclear and atomic arsenals for a reason, because they know the only way to defeat evil, is with greater evil, which will serve as deterrence to their kids and young ones following in their evil foot steps. |
