ajiban: It's not easy not to believe in God (and supernatural miracles) in Nigeria. Left, right, center, people are claiming miracles and supernatural intervention. Every Nigerian - politicians, businessmen, educators, beggars, and criminals inclusive - believes in the miracle working God, the devil, demons, witches, wizards, and 'spiritual attacks'!

Is there someone else on Nairaland who lives in Nigeria and does not believe in God? How do you manage to hold on to your unbelief in the midst of all these dogmatic believers? Whew, isn't this country too hot?!

It baffles me, that billions of people, both Christians, and non-Christians, believe that Holy Spirit had sperm, had sex with Mary and fathered Jesus.

it does not suprise me. Just as the europeans brought education and christianity when the real intention was exploitation, so also these private universities. They bring strike-free "quality" education when the real intention is to freely manifest self ego on those they cant do such to in a free society! Pity.

This is wickedness! Just as we have wicked landlords, we even have more wicked tenants! When they are looking for houses, they look like pretty looking cats that would attract pity. But when they enter, they become demons!

there is absolutely nothing wrong. Its merely breaking of church order if u refuse (when directed to seat at d front) and prefer to sit at the back. It has nothing to do with category of sin.
However, there is that nagging 80% chance that "determined"backbenchers (those that deliberately take a back seat) are mostly spectators and observers-many of whom come to a given service not for any relationship issue with God but to look for holes in the church to boost their critic ministries.

ThaProphet: Pregnancy is not an illness. It is funny and annoying when women all of a sudden "act" ill when they are pregnant and stop doing what they used to do. Most times, they relax while their husbands do everything for them while they just sit around and get fat.

If you sit around and stop being active cos you're pregnant, it is possible you have more complications while giving birth. Your muscles have been in relax mode for 7 months straight, no exercise or nothing. That cannot be healthy.

Secondly, by the time you give birth, you will be uglier. All the fat will get into your face, legs, arms, neck, fingers and most importantly, your belly. You will end up looking like Papa Ajasco. Then you will complain when your husband does not find you sexy anymore.

You've got to be active while pregnant. I know of at least 2 women who continued their normal lifestyle during pregnancy. One who did not take her maternity leave until 8 months into the pregnancy. The result: healthy women, safe delivery and healthy babies.

This case however, I find a bit extreme but being a crossfit member (these guys don't play), I am sure she is more than used to it. Who knows? Maybe she used to lift heavier weights before. As long as she is not unusually (doing things she's not used to doing) stressing herself, she should be safe. Not sure about 2 weeks to delivery though but I guess she knows better being a mother of 2 already.

anitank: No matter how used to weight lifting she is, it is not safe for her to do so with an eight month old pregnancy

Are u speaking from a health angle or fear of how dangerous the picture looks like? I work with some pregnant women on fitness programs via directions from their doctors. With proper guidance from their trainers, they do just fine. I wish women know they have so much (ENDURANCE) in them than the men folk.

if she's used to this kind of exercises before her pregnancy then her body would just be fine. exercise is safe for both mother & the fetus. i'd rather this woman than the fat layabouts who do nothing but spit in a container they carry with them all the time.

ifyalways: Nowadays,I sit and reflect honestly first then apologize. I try to analyze "what went wrong, how we could have resolved it and how to avoid same scenario from repeating itself" .
Afterwards,I go to my man on bended knees,stark naked, hail him, massage his isi nkwocha, tell him we both behaved like kids,bring up my already thought out "better conflict resolution" plans then end it with correct kpekus.

There and then,all sins are forgotten and forgiven.
