Uber has it's standards and they are to a good extent, fair.
Government especially in Lagos state, is trying to get involved in everything within it's jurisdiction. They should understand that these alternatives are mostly for flexibility, pricing concerns and self employment. There should be a state of leniency. It is a global initiative with its standards (government should be seen as a watchdog) unless we want to get back to the stage where the yellow and black cabs dominated the whole thing.
Government apparently wants to gain control of every self employment effort made by it's citizens. And they will later take credit for the initiative.
Very soon, Pilate might start asking for tax per percentage of tickets you win on sport betting. |

Every government always use that line. |

Police.
They are such a disgrace.
Like seriously many of them are so stone age era.
They came to raid our cafes years back, and met a stiff resistance (I don't send them aside not liking them). After tensions were cooled down, around 3 of them with "iron bars" rank sat down in one of available computers.
The one without rank was beckoning to the reception and me thinking they wanted to start trouble, came with double. It was not what I thought.
They wanted assistance to open "Yahoomail". They (four of them) knew next to nothing about opening an email address. I had to assist. Free of charge. After they left, I went inside to weep. |

donstan18: I've got many, but I'll tell one.
During my 100lvl registration then in school. Any graduate or student can relate how stressful, tiring and crowded it use to be doing registrations.
It was so sunny that very day with crowd of freshers everywhere, i got tired at some point and decided to get some rest under a tree. Unbuttoned the first two buttons of my long sleeve shirt for air while getting some rest
Some minutes later, a very big yellow-headed lizard fell from the tree and found its way inside my singlet[Singlet was tucked in my jeans], I screamed so high and got the attention of 99% of students there, while trying to make way for lizard by pulling my singlet from my jean, I ended up opening another way for the lizard to jump inside my boxer. At that moment, I shouted and nervously got confused that I couldn't differentiate my prick from the lizard in my boxer because both of them were dangling and dancing around as I was screaming and rehearsing makossa dance in public, jumping around the tree shouting and behaving like a mad man. People couldn't help because they don't know how to, rather, some were laughing and shouting in amusement.
As God had it, i successfully dragged the lizard out, it jumped out, nodded its head and was there looking at me like a fool instead of running, out of anger of embarrassment, I chased the lizard with my tattered clothes and ended up falling down while the lizard escaped. People were laughing as I was, just so FVCKING EMBARRASSED and PISSED that I was so ashamed to even stand and clean my cloth.
Fortunately, two ladies from the crowd stepped forward, helped me picked my scattered files and cleaned my clothes[Thou they were smiling and laughing while helping], and I had to laugh too in shame.
Nna eh! I just jejely gather morale waka comot, find okada begin dey go my lodge
Registration no be by force!! Hahahaha |

Village is one major places you can get the best morals and get grounded in your distinct culture.
Problem is, it is usually the last resort for those that have failed to amount in their hustle in their respective cities. Many of which are filled with anger at the developed society and it's people.
Always use wisdom when going for village engagements. Avoid showing off and you are good to go. |
