Thanks for d info. I doubt if any financial institution still gives 12-14% interest on fixed deposit. I was at Zenith bank Awolowo road to discuss with my account officer about fixed deposit, their interest is very low @ 4%. Went to Renmoney to do some enquiry I was told they offer high interest rate. The lady I met there told me fixed deposit account services is closed for now. I am thinking of one foreign high yield investment program currently. My cousin base in Switzerland introduced me to it. You invest $1,200 to earn $8000 in period of 3months

But I'm 99.743% sure that the first left after UBA building is a one way.. I was almost a victim in my early days

The No entry sign is there (unless dem don comot am). That road is for people coming from Apongbon street.

The reason CBD chased you aggressively is because you entered there, not because you didn't park well.

But it's alright sha. I could be wrong

How did you arrive at .743% because my own sureness is 99.741% grin

Pls is this a fair fee for a collora car..‍♂️
Is it manual? If it's automatic ifeanyi advertised ATF @ the rate of 9.5k few days ago. I don't know about repairs and services, check first if it's the same ATF Type IV he sold to you @ 25k, then you can make conclusions on repairs and services rate

Initially...I was shocked myself.

I brought a rider from olowora to university road. I got another request, on my way to rider's PU, I was blocked by the LGA touts bus on the road leading to onike(I was even thinking they were using my car to block someone else). They asking me to wind down I refused, they clamped my tyre, later I let him into the car.

I asked what was my offence he said, he said I had two, using my phone while driving (which was not true, he let dropped that one), second offence, I'm not wearing nose mask(I was shocked, because I was alone in the car, and the AC was on). We drove to their office opposite panti police station, that was how they gave me ticket of 25k(ontop wetin). I told them straight up, I don't have money and I'm not paying.

They were threatening that they will deflate my tyres and that the car will sleep if I don't pay up(I was just calm, I was ready to spend my day with them).

After sometime he came back, said he wants to help me, that I should bring 15k, I told him I don't have, he said call your people nah, I said them too don't have.(he just kept on coming back to ask me "how much I get" because I wasn't begging them and all that).

After like 3hrs(I wasn't really in a haste to go anywhere), they said I should pay 4k, I said I don't have( why will I pay when I didn't break any law). One of them went and I deflated one of tyre, naso I vex, call my uncle wey be DSP(didnt want to involve him initially) gave the guy the phone, my uncle told him he if does not let me go and he gets there, that he will deal with him, naso the man talk say make I just gate money dey go. Naso I take pay gate money (N500) and pump tyre(N500).

Those guys are thieves, ripping people off their money, something needs to be done about those guys. If I get time I go share the stories wey I hear there
I'm still waiting for the day ANYBODY will stop me for not wearing mask when I'm alone in my car with all windows up. One police tried it during the 3 weeks full lockdown but their oga quickly asked me to go when he realized I was ready to drag the issue to any length.
I've passed several checkpoints and lastma stands with my mask just hanging on my neck, it's only devils who are hell bent on extorting you at all costs that will always try that rubbish, I will share the story here if/when I come across them

You did the right thing my guy.

Apart from your safety, you saved yourself from trouble. Imagine if police or LASTMA had arrested you for your rider not wearing face mask... I bet she would feign ignorance and let you bear the consequences of her action, as they would always assume it is your responsibility to remind your riders to use face mask.

As for the drivers that compromise their health and safety, it says a lot about them. For Uber, so long as you’ve written them, be rest assured they would work in accordance with the rules.

NB: I really don’t know why it is mostly girls from one hotel to another that give issues on this job... I mean all these girls that know nothing.
Transferred aggression. They're mostly always in severe pains mentally, spiritually and sometimes physically

Personally, I don't even check Rider's rating. That's not my business. Whatever your attitude is like, doesn't concern me. My own is to take you from point A to point B. If you abuse or insult me, I end trip. It's as simple as that.

I hope they add Nigeria to the list soon

Uber introduces a new hourly rate for longer, multistop trips

Uber is introducing a new feature aimed at riders who need to take longer rides with multiple destinations. Using the new “Hourly” function, riders can set the amount of time the trip should take, thereby locking in a flat, hourly rate for the duration of the ride.

Riders will be charged $50 an hour for this new Hourly feature and will be asked to select how long the trip will last before confirming the ride. The customer will end up paying for the time they selected even if the trip actually takes less time. They can input up to three destinations and rates will exclude tolls and surcharges

There may be mileage limits based on the city — for example, in some cities the limit is 40 miles. Customers will be charged at a per-minute rate for trips that go over the time limit, or the per-mile rate for trips that go over the mileage limit

This work ehn, na grace. Yesterday, after dropping off my wife off at work, I went online (which I normally do till evening when I go to pick her). I drove around and 'positioned' for like an hour. Shi shi I didn't see, not even N500 trip. I got tired and went back home. I can't come and kii myself.

I went out today around 8. I drove around for like 10mins and a request came in. Interesting guy, had issues with a transfer and wanted to go to the bank and wanted me to wait. On a norms, I wouldn't try it, but this one wey area dry? The guy said he'll do me well. I said no problem. It turned out that the transfer later went through while he was still on queue and he didn't have to wait for long. Driving around + waiting time took almost two hours till the end of the trip. As usual, Bolt did their magic. Trip ended at 3.4K. Dude transferred 77% extra.

Got other trips, rejected a couple of others (Ikorodu, Lasu, Ipaja). In the end, today was good.

Tomorrow? God is in control.
For those like me who curiously want to know the exact amount, it's actually Dude transferred 6k.
As I'm still on personal lockdown na, make I channel my energy into problem solving grin

So what later happened??

I don't use my mask when driving alone or with family members. No police or lastma stopped me to ask me all through the times it happened.

Some officers are just overzealous. They need money.

So how did you settle it?
I don't use mine too when I'm alone or with family members. And these lastma officials pack themselves (about 8 or more) in their kiosk and they will be arresting people for not observing social distancing

Boss come back to the hustle when the lockdown eases of finally. At this present time those of driving are just doing it to keep body and soul together and to also have something to fall back to should SanwoEko decide to issue another lockdown come next week.

Since you own your car and have a place to stay in Lagos, why not! Come drive to earn some money baba.

As for that guy with $270k deal. The gist is that he is the client owner, he stays with his friend inside my estate. Out of the 270k, they have successfully collected $150k using his friends mailing address. The night before he requested my ride, the woman was to send 20k via cash mailing to his friend address but he told his client to send 17k and send the remain 3k to his Blockchain wallet. Na wetin cause wahala be that.

Shebi if I knew that’s what’s up I for decline the request. It wasn’t until he entered the car and he said bro pls drive fast and lock the doors don’t stop for anybody that’s when I knew trouble is imminent.

I was still driving within the estate, even stopped to collect face mask from my security guy when I saw one rx330 from the mirror driving with mad speed towards me. I told my rider and he said that’s his friend that he must not overtake me and I should do everything possible to drive him to the nearest police station because he knows what that guy his capable of.

I come reason am say, EOD/RX330 on LekkiEpe Exp how possible for this guy not to overtake me and the nearest police station that I can think of is the one before Ajah bridge coming from Sangotedo.

My only chance is blocking is his path so he won’t be able to overtake me, I don’t know that money can make someone so desperate like the guy behind the RX wheel. He closed up to me and hit me hard from behind (Right side) causing me to lose control of the car for a split second as my car was going to do a 180 turn anti-clockwise due to the hit, I quickly regained control of the car but the nigga don over take me.

Will continue later. Request don come
If you don't continue on time the hit I will personally give you from behind will make you do a 360 counter-clockwise grin
Waiting impatiently smiley

Lekki flats have always been premium even when majority could not afford them, did the owners reduce rent? No

Central Lagos appartments have always been on the highside, have they all been empty? No

Air plane tickets have always been sold out despite many not being able to afford them locally, did airlines slash fares? No

The market will sell it self and transport business has always been a seller's market and not a buyer's one. Transportation is a need and not a want.
