mrjaydee: A partnership is a formal arrangement by two or more parties to manage and operate a business and share its profits.
An employee is an individual who was hired by an employer to do a specific job.
Who can correlate the two? Okay let me twist English small. An employer is the one who pays an employee an agreed amount of money (mostly) as income on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. So in this ehailing business, we know the real employers |

izzou: And if something goes wrong, what part does the driver play as a partner? Someone here talked about collecting a car on 25k rental, and the same car owner will service and repair..... And you still see it as a partnership?
As for issues concerning death, anyone could die. Because I drive doesn't mean I will die through driving. My point was in the case of losing the investment(the car), who bears the brunt? Who loses? But we're talking about drivers having accidents here. Anyone could die truly, but anyone who drives long hours every day is exposed to more risk of death. It shall not be our portion in jesus name insha allah |

izzou: I just want to comment on the bolded from my own opinion..... Please, it's my opinion, so don't crucify me
The question I ask myself is "what exactly is the driver bringing to the table for him to be called a partner in this business?"
If I set up a food canteen: Furnish it with tables, chairs, curtains, tiles, TV, and I employ two ladies to cook and sell, and I tell them that for every plate they sell, I give them #150, will I really call this a partnership? When it is glaring that if anything happens to the shop, they(the two ladies) have nothing to lose?
Look at it from another angle.....
To be truthful to myself, I don't see it as a partner relationship. It's actually an employer-employee relationship
I see uber guys get serious accidents, and I ask myself...."What's the fate of the car owner? " Will the driver fix the car?
Bros, that's how I see this work oh... Na who provide and maintain motor be the oga 1. You set up a rental business and I came to rent your car, I am not your employee but a business partner, abi you will give me employment letter? and pay salary whether there's sales or not 2. "I see uber guys get serious accidents, and I ask myself...."What's the fate of the car owner" Why not also ask what's the fate of the driver? (If he dies or gets handicapped) and the fate of the family that depends on him |

1984och: Is that opay and other bike ehailing that cheap?
I also saw another topic where rider was stopped by touts and charged N500 for N100 ticket ride.
Someone should tell me how they operate and the price.
For instance, how much will it cost to go from palmgroove to shoprite surulere? Its promo, it was N100 last month and I took it once from Berger to egbeda cuz there was madt traffic. This month they increased it to N200, maybe next month it will be N300 or they'll stop the promo all together |

nwizu042: Got a request this morning 5:am. Asked rider his destination and he said yaba. While on 3rd mainland bridge rider changed it that he doesn't have money and that his destination is abule egba. Am like why didnt you say this before embarking on this trip and he started changing yans. I just laughed and stopped the car on 3mb and asked him again and he said i should take him to yaba. I said ok. I started cooperating and he started telling me he hasnt had his bath in2days now and bla bla bla. Ijust de nod head. Sharply turned into sabo police station, after much stories with the police, rider didnt have a dime. Couldnt call anybody to help him.police collected his phone and gave him 3100 and asked him to go get back the money and get his phone. They found female chains and wristwatch with him. I suspect he robbed some ladies or whatever. Last last he paid me and i moved. Shine your eyes out there kings. Pardon the typos. The fool deserved it, he didn't have money and he decided to use uber instead of him to enter danfo or download opay and take N200 bike to his house from wherever he was |

Please how much should I charge her.₦4405 my total earnings ,I think the business is okay although is my personal SUV. If you're on 25% commission, this fare must be around 6k so you can charge 6k back and add something for waiting time (depends on how long you wait) |

Crvrider: I want to believe you've done the needful...researched cost of parts and fuel economy. You have set a realistic target for yourself (15k). Now if you have to work 7days a week that amounts to 105k. How much fuel will you need in a week (25k - 20k)? Which means you're left with 80-85k. Maintenance shouldn't gulp much since you'll be driving yourself, hence avoid entering pot holes (but trust me pot holes will be the least of your problems) like a danfo driver and avoid bad roads. Hey, but what do I know? 10am to 5pm and net 15k daily, I completely disagree. He can't even gross it daily |

For the first time in my close to 2 years ride sharing career, I snubbed uber and faced taxify ALONE. I must confess I enjoyed it, just 2 days sha, I plan to continue with taxify when I resume work tomorrow to see if I will enjoy it for the rest of the week then it will be bye bye to uber till they remove their stupid 25% commission. How can I do 15 legit trips for 25% and when it was time to enjoy 3% they told me they suspected fraudulent activities. Are they mad? F*ck them for now |

Na so i reach pick up, call rider Rider: oh you have arrived, you arrived so early... cant you just wait a little (in a friendly voice)
Me: sir the moment u request, it means u are ready to go, so it best i come quickly to pick you. But if you aren't ready i can cancel and go.... Rider; no wait, i am coming down.
A big advanced macho man and and one very lepa babe appeared.
Stood there talking. The man later walked up to the car and stretched 1k to me with a smile. I collected it before asking what is it for ...
Rider; she said you came too early, she is not ready to go now. Take that for the stress. You can cancel. Lolllll |

Bros, abeg I no dey collect transfer. Yes he sounded rude but he has passed his message. Believe me, I was about making transfer for him.
When you state your terms of service before contract is signed, it saves you bad energy.
I'm learning... Will soon be a driver though When you requested the ride, did you see 'transfer' in the payment options? It is either card or cash, so it is your job to notify the driver of your intention to pay via transfer |
