You believe in the spiritual but evidence in the demonstration of people globally does not prove the spiritual?😟
Ọmọ how do you guys reason?🤔
If people throughout the earth in one way or another believe in spirits and are having communion with spirits how can you say that is not enough evidence?🥴
OK, you are waiting for your atheist friends to approve what you believe before you can speak boldly about it shey?🤔 + Joker. I have never sought validation from anyone, theist or atheist. I have debated both quite equally for years. Listen, the mere fact that people universally believe something does not make it true. Most people world over once believed that thunder was the voice of some gods. |

MaxInDHouse: Please don't dodge the question can you mention any race where they don't believe in spirits before colonial masters came to change their thinking? + No I can't because such beliefs were common to humanity same as with many mythical beliefs before the age of enlightenment. This does not in itself prove the spiritual. I personally believe in the spiritual though. |

Kukutente23: They are the same The only difference is how it is collected. Both mean the same thing + There are distinctions (and you already admit that) but let us leave that one, seeing as that was never the original point of debate. The original point was you claiming that VAT is not collected at consumption but at production in Nigeria. Do you wish to amend your statement or honestly cede that you were wrong on that? |
Politics › Re: Without Lagos & Rivers: Check The VAT Generated By Each Geopolitical Zone by DeepSight(m): 1:15pm On Dec 24, 2025 |
Kukutente23: Not true. Sales tax and VAT are primarily the same thing. They are both collected for value derived from consumption of a product + They are different, they are not the same. Many erroneously use them interchangeably. Your second sentence is true, though - but please understand that VAT even by your admission here, remains a consumption tax. And yes, VAT is collected from the consumer in Nigeria. A buyer is a consumer. So along the supply chain, anyone buying will pay VAT. Not anyone producing as you claimed. The producer or seller, will collect that VAT from the consumer/ buyer and remit it to government. The distinction is oft stated as that with a Sales Tax, only the final consumer pays, and not every buyer along the chain. I am quite tired of this subject. Pls invite Oyedele to discuss it with you. |

drstranged: I’m currently in the South East, and normally by late November we would have started feeling harmattan — cooler weather, dry air, dusty breeze, at least some signs.
But now, just a day to Christmas, everywhere is still hot. No harmattan breeze, no dryness, no dusty mornings. It honestly feels more like February or March than December.
This feels very unusual to me. In all my years on earth, I can’t remember a December like this.
Is anyone else experiencing the same thing in their area? Could this be climate change, or is this just one of those rare weather shifts?
Let’s hear your observations. + Harmattan has been on the retreat for more than a decade now. |

Kukutente23: Learn to read before you respond audio Egbon The guy I quoted claimed VAT should be collected at point of production. He just butrressed the point I made which you failed to realise that in Nigeria, VAT is collected at point of production instead of sales. Now he's been misguided because of the disorderly nature is Nigeria's VAT system. That said, you need to enlighten yourself further as a commercial lawyer. Another name for VAT is sales tax. If you cross into God's own country today, you'll never hear of VAT but sales tax and it is collected at state level not federally. Lastly, you need to know that there are different stages and layers of VAT payment even within the production process. Your insistence on a strict interpretation of consumption tax belies your ignorance in that regard + I repeat, there is a difference between VAT and Sales Tax - even in the USA. The USA simply doesnt have a national VAT, there are different taxes at different levels that match it. VAT is NOT another name for Sales Tax. The difference is simple: with a sales tax, who sells is taxable. With VAT, who buys is taxable. Comprehende? Now go and adjust your bad grammar @ the bold. |

Kukutente23: That's because of the warped nature of our tax collection system. VAT should be collected by sellers and remitted. VAT should only be for goods sold not goods produced. + Looks like you are coming around. |
Politics › Re: Without Lagos & Rivers: Check The VAT Generated By Each Geopolitical Zone by DeepSight(m): 12:14pm On Dec 24, 2025 |
lawani: The economic activity that generated VAT is creditable only to the producing state. That is the point. There was VAT paid in China on the Chinese products you buy in Nigeria. Do you want to credit the economic activity to Nigeria? + Hahahahahahaha! Dont confuse yourself my dear brother. Are you trying to say, with the bold, that purchasing goods or services is not an economic activity? Bro, nowhere in the world is VAT paid without goods or services being purchased/ consumed. You know what, dont take my word for it. Try Google or AI with these questions. PS: Why do you say "producing state" and not producer? Do you perchance have a misapprehension that VAT is only taxed on imported goods? |
Politics › Re: Without Lagos & Rivers: Check The VAT Generated By Each Geopolitical Zone by DeepSight(m): 11:57am On Dec 24, 2025 |
lawani: The point is who should be commended for VAT is the producing company and not consumers + Well the discussion is not about who to praise. If that came up, every participant along the production, supply, service, delivery and consumption chain should be. |

Politics › Re: Without Lagos & Rivers: Check The VAT Generated By Each Geopolitical Zone by DeepSight(m): 11:43am On Dec 24, 2025 |
lawani: VAT is calculated by companies and paid to FG. If your production cost is ten naira and you sell 1000 then you pay 7.5 percent of the difference. That is VAT. It is a tax paid by productive companies that add value + VAT is a Consumption Tax and always has been. It is paid by Consumers. It is only remitted by producers, service providers and suppliers after it is collected from Consumers. What you are describing is closer to WHT (Withholding Tax). |

Kukutente23: The SE will also argue that it has more people outside its region engaged in economic activities than other regions which will make them the most nationally mobile and integrated region than any other Besides, you don't need this warped statistics to show that SE gets more than it generates. That was already settled with the previous VAT statistics. However, I see you're a victim of the confused and dysfunctional nature of VAT collection in Nigeria as you've now erroneously assumed that VAT should be collected at point of production while VAT is known as a sales tax. DeepSight should be able to see the point I was making previously with this your error. Lastly, there's nothing inherently wrong with migration. The SW is known to have the highest rate of migration outside Nigeria. Does that mean the SW is the least economically viable region? SWners have been migrating since the late 70s. Are you saying SWers have been suffering economically since the 70s? + You have come again oh aburo. You know I left this matter for you since you seemed to know it all. Now what are you suggesting here? VAT is a Consumption Tax as I repeated ad infinitum ad nauseum. Why are you now saying someone has erroneously presumed that VAT should be collected at the point of production when that is what you yourself kept saying through our tempestuous and ill tempered debate on it? Which I said was wrong, as I told you, VAT is rightly collected from the consumer in Nigeria (which you denied). Those producers, service providers and suppliers who remit it for all purposes can be seen as middlemen in the process of collection. Again you make elementary errors. You have just here called VAT a sales tax, but it is actually a consumption tax. There is a difference. But you no go gree. Anyway, I am still fond of your fighting spirit. You just need to cool temper small daz all. |

Uptheante: The help they needed from America was to obliterate the Fordow nuclear site hidden under concrete underground. Only America in the whole world has the right bomb (bunker buster bomb that can penetrate up to that depth) & the right kind of plane (B-52 is the only plane in the whole world that can carry that kind of bunker buster bomb & only America has that plane in the entire world) to execute that mission. The other help they needed from America was to intercept some of the missiles that Iran was firing randomly into Israel. Israel could have also overwhelmed Iran with missile attacks & cause heavy civilian casualties but they acted maturely because their only target was the nuclear sites, the missile production & storage sites, nuclear scientists & top Iranian military officers, & they executed that outstandingly.
It's not as if Israel begged America for help on the actual attacks as you are trying to make it seem. + Nonsense. That was not the only help they needed from the US. The US, Britain, France, all helped shoot down Iranian missiles. The so called Iron Dome could not cope. |
