Politics › Re: Tribes The British Respected During Colonial Rule in Africa by DeepSight(m): 10:30pm On Aug 07, 2025
GothamCities:
I don't know why you guys hate the Yorubas so.mucn that you must always lie to undermine the Yoruba race. The Yoruba of all people? A tribe that ruled from Nigeria to Ghana and still had regiments in iIvory Coast? What do you take the Yorubas for? Oyo empire ruled vast lands in an empire that lasted 600yrs, and was only defeated by the British in the late 1800s. The only luck the British had was that the Yorubas were engaged in internal wars among themselves as at the time the British invaded. The war would have extended much further into the 1900s.

The numerous civil wars within the Yoruba people at the time enabled the British to confront the Yoruba in sections and not as a whole army. Yet, the war still extended till 1918 when they fought the Adubi war in Ẹgba land.

What do you take the Yorubas for?
I doubt that they extended to Ghana and Ivory Coast.

Artificial intelligence is the stuff of science fiction. Has the potential to fling humanity hundreds of years forward.

My challenge with it is that, paradoxically, it's also making humans less smarter as many people don't think critically anymore and their brains are literally atrophying.

Interesting times
It is going to lead to generations of dumber humans.

What she did was extremely careless and unprofessional and is the kind of thing in ages gone by that would have been attributed to female hysteria and emotion.

where else do u want to confirm the news.
If u are not satisfied u can go to sambisa and ask the terrorists yourself
No wahala.

I am satisfied, since the NAF said so.

Thank you.

because the NAF told u they are terrorist, that's how we know.
If you are not satisfied, go to sambisa and confirm.

When ever NAF mistakenly bomb innocent civilians, it makes headlines that they are civilians, so we believe it when NAF they say they are terrorists.
LOL!

There are characters in this world!

"Because the NAF said so!"

Amazing!

The very same thing you guys said about bokoharam, protecting them in the name of R E L I G I O N and when it turned into the m o n s t e r it is today, you now blame Israel for the same bokoharam i s l a m breed.
I know you are not capable of reason once anything is framed in terms of religion. You cannot despise BH and thier backward ideas and terrorism more than I do. But if you are dispassionate the bombing of a wedding is a red flag. It could easily be an error which is being covered up as a "bandits wedding." I can understand where you are coming from because it is the sort of thing Israel will do. And of course you support Israel no matter what.

Where in the world do you strike a wedding from the air and its ok since you call it a "bandits wedding?"

There is absolutely nothing "shameful" about a fit young woman in her twenties showing off Papa God's most breathtaking sculpture, since those curves are the subject of every red-blooded man's wet dreams.

It is only when the woman stripping down is middle-aged, elderly, obese, and out of shape that she ought to be penalized for failure to hide such ugliness from the public so as not to frighten children and small house pets. Matter of fact, fines should be levied against anyone who is not physically attractive and is found guilty of shedding their clothing in public, with the option of jail with hard labor left on the table for repeat offenders.

God breast Nigeria.
Oh good heavens, what will we do with you this wonder of a man? You had me laughing out loud @ "and small house pets!"

😂😂😂😂😂 My statement dey really pain you. When you build a house and leave it abandoned for long, what happens to it? It gets dilapidated and loses value. Besides, he's even one of the pioneer members in the south south.

OBJ foresaw all these and that's he had to publicly tear his membership card, renouncing his membership.

PDP as a party lost it's structure when former president Jonathan lost to PMB in 2015. Most of those who called themselves the founding fathers all ran away and only surfaced to claim tickets during elections and the moment they lost, off they went.

Whether you like it or not, PDP is alive as an opposition today just because of Wike. So, forget it. They lack the gut to expel him. If it didn't dey, it didn't dey.

In addition, PBAT did not found Lagos but his leadership in Lagos is one of the bests (if not the best) in the history of Lagos State. Lagosians will not deny this fact. The infrastructures say it all.

Mind you, he's not perfect, he has his own shortcomings but when someone has tried, let's say it.

You are free to tell me that he didn't do all those things with money from his own personal pocket! No politician has ever been expected to use his personal money to do things. Other politicians had access to this money but never use it for the growth and betterment of the citizens. Tinubu is not like that.
Wike did not build PDP and BAT did not do much in terms of infrastructure in Lagos. Fashola did far better.

You are free to tell me that BAT brought Fashola since of course Lagos is BAT's personal property and he appoints the governors solely.

And what have they done with that confidence? Look at the situation of our society today. We have a twisted mindset of a people. From terrorism up north to ritual killings down south. Poverty and squalor keep growing everywhere. I don't support colonialism but it sure doesn't look as if the sub Saharan African has done well in governing himself.
It will take time my brother.

If you are familiar with South Africa you will know the vast difference in confidence and a sense of authority and ownership between South Africans and many other black Africans. They have the infrastructure yes, but a cruel wound was inflicted on their minds. It will take generations for them to recover from it.

An average Nigerian has the confidence of a 1st class citizen anywhere in the world. An Average blac south African still struggles with this. Even black Americans struggle with it. We have severe probems oh, but I tell you, many of us dont know how precious is the fact that we didnt grow up under any oyinbo domination.

I said, sustained, I can agree.
Built, NEVER.

Do you know what it is to build a house?

Are you suggesting that Wike founded PDP?

Be careful oh. This is the kind of talk that leads some people to say that BAT founded Lagos before Noah's flood.

Britain was supposed to hold on till at least 1997 as they did with Honk Kong before granting independence to Nigeria.
At least three generations would have grown up as second class citizens in their own country and the sense of confidence that Nigerians are known for globally would not exist.

Wike built the party. Wike maintained and sustained the party. Wike brought back the party to relevant and formidable opposition when all of them ran away. So, those who ran away when the party was going oblivion and didn't build the party have no temerity to even dream of suspending him.

Wike is a real man!
Please don't ever say Wike built the party again. Sustained, when others left, I can hear. Built, capital NO.

As for real man, well, if you consider thugs real men, then you can say so.

Correct... But most importantly hold your side. Be mentally strong and be a person of value, aside from money.

Funny enough some of the greatest disrespect can come from people from poor homes!

Key things: make sure you were not marrying because of the money. You were marrying someone you had a genuine bond and connection with and it would not have mattered what her family had.
